Keith David in Spawn (1997)

Trivia

Spawn

Edit
Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam picked Todd McFarlane to do their music video for "Do the Evolution" after watching a Spawn episode on HBO in 1997.
As of 2000, the first season was HBO Home Video's top-selling original programming video of all time, with combined sales topping 1 million units.
The whip-crack sound effect of Spawn/Al Simmons' chains popping out from his robes is the same as the activation of the alien's heat vision in Predator (1987).
Angela wears earrings with a design of Spawn on them.
Overt-Kill was originally conceived during an episode of "The Comic Book Greats", a direct-to-video talk show about comic book artists and writers hosted by Stan Lee. In an episode, Stan Lee gave Todd McFarlane and Rob Liefeld the name "Overkill" and told them to make a character that would best suit the name. Overkill was changed to Overt-Kill for the Spawn comics possibly due to the original being trademarked since the name was being considered for a movie.
