Pauly Shore is sending love to some former Encino Man co-stars following their Oscar wins, although he did leave out the part about nugs, chillin’ and grindage.

In a tweet posted the day after the Oscars, Pauly Shore praised his Encino Man co-stars Brendan Fraser and Ke Huy Quan, who won statues for Best Actor (The Whale) and Best Supporting Actor (Everything Everywhere All at Once), respectively. “…what I Really loved is that my old buddies from back in the day, Brendan Fraser and Ke Huy Quan, took home the Oscars! Never quit on your dreams.”

Pauly Shore has no beef with Jimmy Kimmel, who made light fun of Shore’s career during his Oscars monologue, saying, “Two actors from Encino Man are nominated for Oscars…What an incredible night it must be for the two of you, and what a very difficult night for Pauly Shore. Maybe it’s time to reboot Bio-Dome.

Jimmy Kimmel opened the 95th Oscars Sunday night with only the mildest of jabs at stars including nominees Austin Butler and Steven Spielberg, as well as Nicole Kidman’s ever-present AMC ad.

His genuinely funny monologue didn’t skimp on references to Will Smith’s infamous Oscar slap last year, with Kimmel joking that anyone who committed violence at the awards show would “be given the Best Actor Oscar and allowed to make a 19-minute speech.”

It's official - Chris Rock will be hosting the Oscars for a second time.

The comedian previously took charge of Hollywood's biggest night in 2005, and is now confirmed to host the next Academy Awards on February 28, 2016.

Showtime recently acquired the rights to the documentary feature Pauly Shore Stands Alone. It basically follows the life of an aging and struggling comedian. Pauly Shore found his 15-minutes of fame back in the 1990s with films such as Encino Man, Son in Law, In the Army Now, and Bio Dome. Since he made those movies the comedian has just been trying to get by, and this doc gives us an interesting look at him trying to climb his way back into the spotlight.

Pauly Shore Stands Alone is a true-life road documentary. The camera follows Pauly on a snowy mid-western comedy club tour, while Pauly deals with moving his ailing mother, Mitzi Shore, out of her West Hollywood mansion of 40 years.

The doc will premiere on Showtime on Thursday night, December 4th 2014.

While Jay Leno was talking to the 'Jersey Shore' star about working an event for Kim Kardashian, he kept insinuating that Kim and Pauly had a relationship that went beyond professional.

Earlier this week I saw a bunch of people on my twitter stream retweeting a bit of interesting film trivia: That the 1996 Pauly Shore/Stephen Baldwin "comedy" Bio-Dome was originally scripted as Bill & Ted 3. I was surprised as I had never heard this before. A quick google search showed that the information wasn't new, as it appears on hundreds of websites across the interwebs. The problem is that many of the webpages (which include some credible movie sites in the mix) provide the same minimal piece of info, and don't expand upon the story. IMDb's Trivia section (which, yes, is user submitted like wikipedia) has the largest explanation: A third sequel was planned, but was canned after Keanu Reeves, and later, Alex Winter, declined to reprise their respective roles. The script, which had already been written, was instead modified slightly, re-casted, and recycled into Bio-Dome (1996). It's a cool bit of trivia,...

Even though the second season of Jersey Shore drew to a close last week, the story of the Macaroni Rascals’ trip down to M.I.A. during the spring of 2010 has yet to be completed. After spotting some chatter in the comments section of our Jersey Shore Top Ten Catchphrase Countdown last week, we were able to track down the whereabouts of one Annabelle DeSisto, a Florida native and former Miss Teen Florida runner-up who cameoed on the second to last episode of the season. Looking a bit desperate to find a date for the evening, Pauly Shore was unsuccessful in his attempt to land a chippie in Los Angeles, California on Saturday night (August 21).

Decked out in a denim jacket, the funnyman looked a bit out of sorts as his chat-up technique didn't seem to be working - with two lookers turning down his requests for companionship outside of the Sunset Towers hotel.

The sighting comes as Shore has been busy touring the country with his stand-up routine, of which he told press in St Louis, "It's in my DNA, really. I'm blessed that I can get up on stage and perform in front of people who love me. For me, it's peace of mind, and I never stop touring. And at the end of the day, life is all about finding something that you love to do and finding a way to make a living at it.

Straight-to-dvd is known as the last stop on the gravy train before the end of a fading star's career. And there's definitely some truth to that. But it can also be a low-risk, high-reward place to restart a career, where you can throw away the stuff that hasn't been working and trying something new. Budgets and stakes may be lower, but so are expectations.

The Dtv landscape is full of untapped opportunities and I give Pauly Shore credit for being one of the first guys I've come across in this column who's clearly taking advantage of that. Completely dismissed by critics (Roger Ebert once compared him to "the cinematic equivalent of long fingernails drawn very slowly and quite loudly over a gigantic blackboard"), reduced to a punchline in the mainstream, the former MTV DJ and movie star has reinvented himself in straight-to-dvd land as "Pauly Shore," the star of self-deprecating...

Pauly Shore has weased through his fair share of ups and downs as a Hollywood celebrity over the course of the past two decades. After a string of moderately successful comedies in the early 90s, the stand-up comic seemed destined for obscurity and life as a nothing more than a Trivial Pursuit question. Restless and tired of waiting for that comeback phone call to come in, Pauly put it all on the line by faking his own death, and then recounting the consequences in 2004's Pauly Shore is Dead. Self-financed and produced Diy-style, Shore created an instant cult classic and found a new life for himself in front of the camera. Which has led to a fan favorite stint on the popular HBO series Entourage and a lead role in the upcoming Disney film Opposite Day.

It's been two decades since comedian Pauly Shore first turned up on the beach to host MTV's Spring Break parties, and whether you're tickled or annoyed by his goofy antics from Encino Man and Bio-Dome, his character "The Weasel" has, fittingly, weaseled its way into pop culture history. Adopted is a comedy that explores the lengths to which Pauly Shore will go to adopt a child during a trip to Africa. Practicing fatherhood by taking a variety of "orphans" on day-trips, Pauly believes that he can leave his playboy past behind for good and start an instant family, as many other stars have done.

Pauly Shore's father has brushed off allegations the star's brother has been mistreating their mother - dismissing the claims as a "family feud."

The Encino Man actor has filed a lawsuit accusing his sibling of improperly caring for their ill mum Mitzi, who suffers from Parkinson's Disease.

But Sammy Shore, who is Mitzi's husband and Pauly and Peter's father, is adamant the claims are false.

He tells RadarOnline.com, "No, it's not true, (Peter)'s taking care of (Mitzi). I don't wonder if she's safe, I know she’s safe."

Pauly has also alleged Peter has been mismanaging their Los Angeles comedy club, which was founded by their mother.

But Sammy is adamant the fall out over their business venture is nothing more than a brotherly disagreement.

He adds, "When there is a family business there's always gonna be problems. This law suit is just a family feud. It will be over in a few weeks, I'm sure of it."

A representative for Pauly says, "This is a personal family matter that will be handled privately."...

Comedian Pauly Shore is suing his older brother over allegations he abused their elderly mother.

The Encino Man star has accused Peter Shore of improperly caring for their ill mother Mitzi, who suffers from Parkinson's Disease.

Mitzi has been "rendered susceptible to unscrupulous behaviour and other undue influence because of her condition", according to Shore's lawsuit obtained by RadarOnline.com.

Pauly has also accused his brother of improperly running their business venture, the Comedy Store in Los Angeles, which their mum founded.

The brothers and their mother are the sole directors of the venue, but the actor claims he was "improperly" removed from the board of directors by Peter, the company's chief executive officer.

Pauly is demanding his brother provide tax returns as well as financial reports from the last 36 months in a bid to correct the situation.

How hadn't it come to this before? A new reality show called Adopted will follow Pauly Shore as he adopts an African baby. The show's official website dubs it a mockumentary film (that, perhaps, will be broken down into installments for distribution -- unless there's just faulty Post reportage). But the baby's adoption is only the beginning! The fresh-procured child learns its first steps at grandmother Mitzi's The Comedy Store in Hollywood, where Dom Irrera jokingly blows a wad of cigar smoke in its face and a fast-talking, old-school agent explains to it that they "already have a black comic" for that night. The Pauly Shore freakout clip MovieSet correspondent captured on-set of ‘Brand Dead‘ is making it’s way around the Internets.

In fact, on CNN the ‘Pauly Shore Meltdown‘ was squeezed in between discussion about Paula Abdul’s contract with American Idol and talking about whatever it is that Jon Gosselin does.

But the clip is not without controversy. While some are saying “enough to the celeb freak outs already”, others are not so sure of the realness of Shore’s antics.

A CNN commentator says, “I’ve seen Civil War reenactments which were less staged than this” in “Paula, Pauly and Jon! 7:14 Carlos Diaz and his panel discuss the latest on Paula Abdul’s future, Pauly Shore’s recent tirade and Jon Gosselin.”

Lawsuits are nothing new to Sacha Baron Cohen. Although I don't believe he's ever been on the wrong side of a judgment, Borat brought a ton of litigation, and now Brüno has sparked a little bit of controversy.

Pauly Shore is claiming that Cohen has swiped the tagline from his movie, Adopted, for an already famous sketch in which Bruno's new African baby is delivered to the airport in a box. "Angelina's got one, Madonna's got one, now Brüno's got one," the gay Austrian television personality says. Shore's allegation is that Cohen cops the promotional line from his movie, “First there was Angelina, then Madonna, and now Pauly!"

So Shore is threatening possible legal action, although proving anything would be difficult. If this is anything more than a coincidence, I'd be really surprised. But at least people know Pauly Shore is still working.

It should probably come as no surprise that Sacha Baron Cohen may have yet another lawsuit on his hands as a result of the upcoming film Bruno. What is a little bit unexpected, however, is the fact that the person contemplating legal action is not one of Bruno's on-screen victims... but rather comedian Pauly Shore! According to the New York Daily News [1], Shore is seeking retribution for Bruno's baby adoption gag, which figures prominently in the trailer. He seems to think it may have been stolen from his own movie Adopted [2] (tagline: "First there was Angelina, then Madonna, and now Pauly!"). Green Lantern co-screenwriter Marc Guggenheim spoke to SciFiWire and updated the status of the movie's script and casting issues. Guggenheim had just delivered a new draft of the script, which he says focuses on the first Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, and how he becomes part of the Green Lantern Corps.
