From Amitabh Bachchan to Raj Kapoor, she has appeared alongside almost every top actor since then. The actress herself won millions of hearts, and when she was paired with Dev Anand, who himself had millions of admirers, the people went gaga over them. Although Hema started her career in Bollywood opposite Raj Kapoor, she once revealed that she was nervous about working with Dev Sahab. Scroll below for the deets.
For the unversed, Malini’s first film as a lead was 1968’s Sapno Ka Saudagar. Her pairing with Dharmendra is still among the most popular on-screen pairings in the Hindi film industry. The duo fell in love in real life as well and tied the knot in 1980. Meanwhile,...

It’s highly unlikely that you get to hear those desired words of appreciation from Mil: The mother-in-law (no offence please!). All hail to the benchmarks that our dear Mil’s set, the Bahu's somehow, always lag. And, the revolutionary Bahu's who pass the ‘Agni-Pariksha’ create history and are known as the ‘Tulsi’ of the Khandaan. But ‘Bahu’ Kareena seems to be really lucky. She got pregnant, partied, dressed up, went to shoots, gave interviews, hosted brunch and late night-outs, and see, her ‘Saas’ is all up with her praises! Sharmila Tagore expressed her joy with DNA about Kareena’s pregnancy: “Kareena has been so lovely. She has carried pregnancy her effortlessly and gracefully… kisi ki nazar na lag jaye. She is enjoying every moment of her pregnancy. She is dressing up, going out and being so natural and beautiful about it”. Sharmila Tagore is as excited as the parents-to-be.

1996 - Amitabh Bachchan had just ventured into production with Abcl and launched a new star, Arshad Warsi, with Tere Mere Sapne. Circa 2014 and the two would be heading for an unexpected clash, what with Arshad's Mr. Joe B. Carvalho taking on the 3D version of Sholay, the most successful and inarguably the greatest film ever coming out of Bollywood. "Arshad hadn't seen it coming when the release date of the film, which is produced by his long standing secretary Bhola, was decided," says a close associate of the actor, "When he picked up January 3, it was an open slot available." In Bollywood, for long there has been superstition attached to films that release in the first weekend of the New Year. Since most are wary of picking this date, Arshad felt it was time to break the jinx and bring Mr. Joe B. Carvalho on this date. However he was...

Mumbai, Sep 26: Thursday marks the 90th birth anniversary of Dev Anand and it is time to revisit some of his best movies like "Hum Dono", "Tere Mere Sapne" and "Guide".
Here is a list of the 10 best films of Bollywood's evergreen star, who died in 2011 aged 88.
"Rahi" (1953): One of Dev Saab's unknown gems. Based on litterateur Mulk Raj Anand's story "The Wayfarer", the film about the relationship between British colonists and Indians was shot in a neo-realistic light by progressive intellectual director K.A. Abbas. Very seldom did Dev Anand step into the territory of the unwaveringly experimental cinema. He did so.

This has to be the casting coup of the year. Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi, who are part of two franchises already - Munnabhai and Dhamaal - would now be seen in a dramatic thriller titled Zila Ghaziabad. This is not all as the film would also feature Vivek Oberoi who earlier locked horns with Sanjay in Shootout At Lokhandwala earlier. Confirms an industry source, "Yes, the film is happening for sure. It deals with politics and mafia as prevalent in Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh). Though there have been quite a films set in mafia of Mumbai and some have even explored the underbelly of Delhi, not many films have stepped in this part of the country. Zila Ghaziabad would be reflecting the current socio-political situation there." While Vivek has already been confirmed for the part, Sanjay is also more or less confirmed though he is yet to sign on the dotted line.

May 01, 2010:When a show is not doing well on a particular time slot, it is generally shifted to another one less important one. This strategy seems to have become a practice at Star Plus, which basically shifts its low-rated Prime Time shows, like Kis Des Mein Hai Mera Dil and Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat, to afternoon slots where the same TRPs do not seem to hurt the shows. The most recent to follow suit was Sphere Origins’ ‘Tere Mere Sapne’, which was pulled from the 8:30 P.M. slot and had been given an afternoon slot of 1.00 P.M.
The show was not getting the expected ratings and even a replacement.
