Filmed back-to-back with Magic in the Mirror: Fowl Play.
Some ideas from the film were recycled from an unfilmed project called "Mirrorworlds", originally set to be made by producer Charles Band's previous studio, Empire Pictures, during the 1980s.
This and Magic in the Mirror: Fowl Play were Moonbeam Entertainment's final direct-to-video films.
The film's screener promo recycles music from Beanstalk, another Moonbeam Entertainment film.
