This is a typical Disney- style family matinee movie. There is nothing inventive or newsworthy about this movie, but it is a good watch. It is simple, honest, and obviously made for families with younger viewers. I enjoyed it in the background while doing chores.

I had not seen this movie until yesterday. Again the dynamics between the Lawrence brothers takes center stage in this story of Pioneer life. The family is forced to leave their homestead when they are forced off by a land baron. The sons get separated from their parents and undergo a series of adventures. This movie is great because it shows how people really had to struggle in the old days with no tv's, computers, or cell phones. It is a just great movie for the family to watch together.
Even the presence of 2 well known names (Jonathan Frakes and Don S Davis) cant save this. Its seriously tedious and for 90 minutes there are better things you CAN find to actually do. This really is for the younger families but there are so many flaws with it, I wont describe, simply as I don't want to spoil it for you. but I found it quite poor and not really worth the effort

This is a great film for people of all ages to watch together. My small cousins really loved the story of the three brothers, and all the adults thought that it was so funny! It was so amusing to see Joey Lawrence in buckskins. We kept waiting for him to say "whoa" whenever anything bad happened! And Cmdr. Riker was their dad! What could be more fun! I recommend this for rainy day family viewing!
This is a wonderful movie for people of all ages with a moving message about unconditional love. The scenery is gorgeous, and the writing and acting is excellent.
