“The greatest thing that ever happened to me is I went bald for my acting career,” Bill Burr recently told NPR.
Seeing that Burr is no burly action star like The Rock or Vin Diesel, a conspicuous lack of hair doesn’t seem like it would be an advantage in Tinseltown. But Burr assures us it’s better than at least one alternative. “Back in the day, when I actually had hair … Hollywood, they talk about racism and sexism and it goes beyond that,” Burr explained. Based on his experience, though, there’s no group more ostracized in show business than gingers.
“Like, they even like divide up redheads,” he insisted. “There were rules about redheads. I was in the ‘redhead drawer.’ I was in the Opie, Ron Howard, Howdy Doody drawer, and I didn’t get the gun. I didn’t win the fight. I didn’t get the girl.

By the time O-Town wrapped their third season of Making the Band in 2002, the boy band had two top 10 hits, toured with Britney Spears and were putting the series behind them as they prepared to launch their second album. As a new iteration of the show, helmed by disgraced Sean “Diddy” Combs, premiered months later, they never fathomed how they would be impacted.
Now, as the group nears 25 years since forming on the musical reality series, they’re facing brand damage, hesitant show bookers and a major event cancellation due to being associated with Diddy through Making the Band. Yet the group’s episodes were helmed by another disgraced music mogul — late Lou Pearlman — and they weren’t involved with the series once Diddy took over.
“We already inherited our own infamous producer/manager [Pearlman] from our version of Making the Band and now another version and its mogul is affecting us,...

Some '90s sitcoms, like Townies, struggled to differentiate themselves from more popular shows, leading to their cancelation. Shows like Hangin' With Mr. Cooper and Two Guys and a Girl had unique elements but still faced cancelation due to low ratings. Despite talented casts and well-written scripts, sitcoms like Sports Night and NewsRadio failed to attract a strong audience, leading to their decline.
The affection for many '90s sitcoms persisted into the subsequent decades, but a few series have been neglected. Certain sitcoms like The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Friends have become synonymous with the decade and the legacy of such shows has overshadowed some overlooked gems. While a few of the forgotten '90s shows only lasted for a few episodes, others have multiple seasons to their names. Shows like NewsRadio and Grace Under Fire lasted for a few years, but aren't widely discussed anymore.

Lee Garlington has been steadily working in Hollywood since the '80s. "I haven't had to say, 'Would you like fries or Caesar salad with that?' since 1984," she said. But, the actress added, she hasn't peaked yet.
"I plan to peak in my 70s," Garlington told The Huffington Post in a phone interview. "I have another decade to go before I'm going to really hit my stride. I'm going to be Doris Roberts, knocking 'em dead on my big hit show."
A serial guest star and regular film supporting player, Garlington is perhaps best known for having one the biggest show business "tragedies": She was the original female star in the "Seinfeld" pilot.
