During the battle above Mr. Universe's planet with the Reavers, the Operative jumps into a slide-tube that leads to an escape pod. Slide tubes like this one were the primary way of getting from place to place on the Christa in the show "Space Cases," which also starred Jewel Staite as Catalina, a rainbow haired girl from Saturn.
