The sketch series has kickstarted several cast members’ careers to a new heights, some so big you may have forgotten they started on the show: Billy Crystal, Robert Downey Jr., Ben Stiller, Laurie Metcalf and Julia Louis-Dreyfuss, to name a few.
But several cast members’ careers are defined by the impact of the sketch show. Kenan Thompson has spent 22 seasons on the show, almost half of the series’ tenure.

Nickelodeon's sitcoms have produced some of the greatest children's programming since the late 1970s. Kenan & Kel, iCarly, and Drake & Josh were among the network's most popular and memorable shows. These sitcoms featured talented casts and unique storytelling that resonated with young audiences and stood the test of time.
Nickelodeons sitcoms were notorious across the decades, but only a few hold the title of being among the greatest. Over the years, Nickelodeon became known for its top-quality childrens programming, and it quickly produced some of the best kids cartoons of the 2000s and beyond. Since Nickelodeons beginnings in the late 1970s, the network broadcasted stories that its audiences could easily engage in and laugh along to.
While controversies surrounding Nickelodeons production standards in the past were later revealed, these sitcoms were still appreciated. Each of these titles contained spectacular talent from both their respective cast and crew, who have been celebrated for their hard work.

Jimmy Kimmel is finally hosting “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” the way it’s supposed to be done — in front of a studio audience. The landmark game show returns with an all-celeb edition for its 25th anniversary on Wednesday night, and although this is the third season he’s been in the chair that Regis Philbin made famous, this is the first time fans have finally been allowed back in the studio.
“I really wanted to do it the proper way in front of people because you like to hear people laugh at your jokes,” Kimmel says. “Also, the drama that goes along with a couple of hundred people watching the action happen is an important part of the show. I mean, doing the show in front of nobody is no fun.”
But that’s what Kimmel had to do in March 2020 when he first came on to host the primetime series’ revival.

“All That” and “Kenan & Kel” actor Kel Mitchell revealed on the “Baby, This is Keke Palmer” podcast that Dan Schneider allegedly yelled at him in a closet on set once when he was 18 or 19 years old. Mitchell’s story is the latest misconduct allegation made by a former Nickelodeon actor against Schneider. The recent Investigation Discovery documentary series “Quiet on Set” included several other actors alleging mistreatment by Schneider during his tenure at Nickelodeon.
“The vibe of the show started to change a little bit,” Mitchell said when Schneider took over “All That” from original co-creator Brian Robbins, who “started to do ‘Varsity Blues’ and all these different movies and the production team started to blow up, so they left.”

Coolio's iconic theme song for Kenan & Kel defines 90s pop culture with catchy beats and nostalgic references. Kenan & Kel's mature humor and Coolio's involvement set it apart from other kids' sitcoms of the time. Coolio's '90s legacy includes memorable TV cameos, with Kenan and Kel recalling his funny appearance on All That.
The Kenan & Kel theme song is a memorable tune thanks to Coolio's beats and how it captures the essence of the '90s. The Nickelodeon sitcom ran for four seasons and starred Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell as the titular characters. A popular comedy about Kenan's attempts to get rich quickly and Kel's inevitable ruination of his plans, the series has remained in the pop culture conversation longer than other similar shows of the time thanks to Kenan's long career on SNL and the revival of the pair's Good Burger series with Good Burger 2.

In Thursday night’s finale, the Cork, Ireland native won a head chef position at Gordon Ramsay‘s Hell’s Kitchen Las Vegas and a $250,000 cash prize by defeating his best friend, Johnathan Benvenuti, in the final dinner service. “The emotions came pouring out. It was bittersweet because not many people would say they enjoyed their time in ‘Hell’s Kitchen,’ but if I could go back in the morning and do it again I would. It was phenomenal.” Watch his exclusive video interview with Gold Derby senior editor Denton Davidson above.
Making the moment even more memorable was Ryan’s father flying in from Ireland to taste his food for the first time. “To see my dad walk through those doors was very special for me,” he says. “Not only that,...

The 45-year-old Saturday Night Live star and the 45-year-old pastor have had lots of success as a duo, working together on the TV series All That and Kenan & Kel, and their movies, Good Burger and Good Burger 2.
Off-screen, the longtime friends and costars haven’t always gotten along.

During an interview on The Today Show, Kenan shared that they had a “falling out” before collaborating on Good Burger 2.
“It was more of a separation that kind of grew into the traditional terms of what a falling out is, which is, like, not a lot of communication,” he reflected. “Originally, it was just us kind of looking for our own individualism, basically, as adults, taking a breather from being a duo because we both came into the game as individuals.

Hersha Parady, who won the hearts of Little House on the Prairie viewers with her 1977-1980 portrayal of Walnut Grove schoolteacher and Ingalls Family friend Alice Garvey, died yesterday in Norfolk, Virginia, following surgery last month for the brain cancer meningioma. She was 78.

Et’s Rachel Smith spoke to Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell at ’90s Con over the weekend where the pair had a special message for their “All That” co-star, Amanda Bynes, after she missed out on the cast reunion.
“I’ve just been praying for her,” Mitchell said amid Bynes’ absence. “It’s awesome to see she’s doing better. Which is great. We’re just continuing to pray for her on her journey, and it’s answered prayers that she’s doing a lot better.”
Per That’s 4 Entertainment, the organization behind ’90s Con, Bynes, who told People back in January that she was “really excited” to reunite with her castmates, was forced to miss the weekend’s festivities due to an “unknown illness.”
Her attendance at the highly anticipated reunion, alongside Thompson, Mitchell, Danny Tamberelli and Lori Beth Denberg, would have marked her first public...

Welcome to Paramount+, home of the “Good Burger 2” movie. May Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell take your order?
Paramount+ has ordered up a sequel to the ’90s-kid classic film “Good Burger.” Both Thompson and Mitchell are coming back to reprise their respective roles as Dexter Reed and Ed, reuniting the Nickelodeon comedy duo more than 25 years after the first movie’s release.
“I can’t believe it’s been a little over 25 years since great customer service was born at Good Burger! Being a part of something so many generations of people have come to love has made me so proud and now to be back where it all began working on the sequel is surreal,” Thompson said in a statement shared with IndieWire. “Love performing with my brother Kel and can’t wait to show the fans what these characters have been up to since we last saw them.

CBS has given a pilot order to a multi-cam comedy series based on the “JumpStart” comic strip, Variety has learned.
The project hails from writer and executive producer Wayne Conley. Aaron Kaplan and Melanie Frankel of Kapital Entertainment also executive produce along with Bridget McMeel of Andrews McMeel Entertainment and Wendi Trilling of TrillTV. Robb Armstrong, the creator of “JumpStart,” will co-executive produce. CBS Studios will produce.
“JumpStart” is set in Philadelphia. Per the official logline, the show “follows Joe, a cop, his wife Marcy, a nurse, and Joe’s partner, Crunchy. Joe and Marcy are young, hip, urban parents with old school values who are willing to sacrifice for their kids and have some laughs while doing it.” The comic strip originally entered syndication in 1989.
A TV version of the comic has been in the works since at least 2014, when Kapital announced plans to develop a live-action version with 20th Century Fox.

Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell kept the Nickelodeon nostalgia coming at the People's Choice Awards on Dec. 6. For the first time in 25 years, the comedy duo reunited on the red carpet just hours before Thompson was set to host the award show. The last time the former "All That" stars were on the red carpet together was at the "Good Burger" premiere in 1997 when they were both in their late teens.
As the pair posed together on the red carpet, they looked like they hadn't missed a beat, falling right back into their classic "Kenan & Kel" vibes. Between moments of hyping each other up and snapping selfies with fans, the stars also took a moment to show off their coordinated outfits. Thompson arrived in a midnight-blue velvet suit, while Mitchell complemented the "Saturday Night Live" star's ensemble in his own satin suit and navy button-up.
