10 Best Movies & TV Shows Starring The Cast Of Monk
Image
The cast of Monk is a big reason why the detective show is still so popular long after it ended, and many of the actors have appeared in some other great movies and TV shows. Each episode of Monk combines a compelling mystery with some crowdpleasing humor, and this could easily fall flat if not for the talents of the cast. Actors like Tony Shalhoub, Ted Levine and Traylor Howard have appeared in other projects that fans of Monk might find interesting.

The cast of Monk had a couple of big changes during the show's run, since Bitty Schram left in season 3 and Stanley Kamel sadly died of a heart attack between seasons 6 and 7. Mostly, the show stuck with the same actors, and this allowed them to develop a hilarious chemistry as Monk took on each murder investigation while trying to avoid all contact with germs, animals, children and anything...

Seinfeld Made Rob Reiner's Production Company A Staggering Amount Of Money
Image
For Christmas one year, I gave my grandpa a DVD box set of the early "Seinfeld" seasons. My dad thought it was a silly gift because a now-classic show like "Seinfeld" would probably have reruns until the end of time. So far, my dad has been right. Even as streaming has transformed the television landscape, the availability and appeal of "Seinfeld" shows no signs of fading. In fact, it's this ongoing popularity that helped turn director Rob Reiner's production company, Castle Rock Entertainment, into a cash cow.

Named after Stephen King's famous setting on the Maine coast, Castle Rock Entertainment is an American independent film and television production company founded in 1987 by Rob Reiner, Martin Shafer, Andrew Scheinman, Glenn Padnick, and Alan Horn. The company produced numerous acclaimed independent films, including Richard Linklater's "Before" trilogy, several Stephen King adaptations such as "The Green Mile" and "The Shawshank Redemption,...

Boston 'Free Speech Rally' Overtaken by Thousands of Counterprotesters
The "Free Speech Rally" in Boston Saturday has turned into a massive demonstration by counterprotesters -- thousands and thousands of them -- condemning the alt-right, white nationalists, racists, fascists and neo-nazis. Exactly one week after the Charlottesville attack, a rally by conservative activists -- who attempted to distance themselves from white nationalists -- has been dwarfed by a diverse group of counterprotesters who believe the "free speech" rally is a guise for hate speech. ‘Dunkirk’: Here’s Every Movie Theater Showing Christopher Nolan’s New Movie on 70mm Film
Fionn Whitehead in Dunkerque (2017)
One of the most important things you need to know about Christopher Nolan’s “Dunkirk” is that the entire 106-minute feature was shot on 65mm film, with 75% incorporating IMAX film cameras. In terms of visual scope, these stats suggest “Dunkirk” might just be Nolan’s biggest movie to date, which means you shouldn’t settle for a digital projection if you don’t have to.

“Dunkirk” will be projected in 70mm in select theaters and tickets for those engagements are now for sale on the “Dunkirk” official website, so we finally have confirmation on what theaters across the country will be showing the WWII drama in its preferred format.

‘Dunkirk’: 9 Things You Need to Know About Christopher Nolan’s WWII Blockbuster

Where to See Christopher Nolan’s ‘Dunkirk’ in 70mm
We’re just a few weeks away from a new Christopher Nolan film, which means questions may abound about what exact format to see it in. With around 75% of his World War II thriller Dunkirk reported to be shot on IMAX 65mm film stock (aka the vertically-longer aspect ratio first utilized by Nolan for The Dark Knight, most memorably for the opening scene) and the rest on 65mm large format film stock, the best experience one can have is seeking out a 15/70mm presentation.

As tickets go on sale this morning, we now have a list of all the locations in the U.S. and Canada presenting the film in 70mm. Before we get to that list (via Nolan Fans), check out a visual format guide from Anton Volkov, as well as a new TV spot. Since 70mm formats will vary, if one is seeking out the best quality — 15/70mm...

Paul Walker at an event for Fast & Furious 4 (2009)
On the heels of the April 3 release of Furious 7, Jordana Brewster remembers what her beloved co-star Paul Walker taught her before his tragic passing.

"Recently someone asked me something about Paul on the red carpet, and I so badly wanted to say that I can’t express what he meant to me or what the impact of him being gone has had on my life in one quote, because I loved Paul so much," Brewster tells Boston Common magazine of her former Fast & Furious on-screen love interest. "What Paul had was the gift of being really present to everyone around him. It's something I've worked really hard on. I think all of us try so hard and it’s difficult to have innately."
