    Great Mystery thriller

This is a great example of how movies SHOULD be made. It has everything: mystery, suspense, drama, and even a ghost, just to keep the film going. The plot line to this movie is fantastic, but it must be said that the twist at the end is the best thing about this film.

Kelly Mcgillis stars as a happily married woman who has a car accident on a railway line, resulting in the death of her young child. Two years later, her husband has rented a grand old mansion from one of his old 'friends.' However, when Kelly arrives, she begins to get paranoid, not helped by the fact that a creepy old woman with Alzheimers, living next door to them, is insisting that they have a ghost...

This is a brilliant period piece, and is an absolute MUST SEE for anyone who likes movies.

    movie was OK

I like the movie but I does NOT do the book justice. I actually saw the movie before I read the book. THere is SO MUCH the movie runs together and leaves out at the same time. It is TOO obvious that this movie was "made for TV". It would be better if the director took the time to read the book and actually "see" the layout of 'remember house'. The movie is good, if you have already read the book and have an inkling to what is going on in the first place. It is an awesome book! I have read a few of Mary's books, and they are great. Bu this version to be transformed into a movie... Not such a good choice with so LITTLE detail. This movie was made for people who have read the book, and then they still need a little help. The movie is in my opinion a POOR rendition of the book, although I would LOVE to know where the house is that it was filmed at. That is the ONLY thing that serves my imagination from reading the book (outside only of course).

Wonderful transformation from a novel to a movie.

The movie was a nice change from the ordinary horror films. I thought the writers did a wonderful job changing from a novel to a movie. The actors were perfect in there rolls and each seemed suited to there parts. I would rate this movie along the lines of INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE.

A Fair Adaptation of the Book of the Same Name...

"Remember Me", which is based off of Mary Higgins Clark's book of the same name, is a pretty good made-for-tv-movie. The story of a young mother who is suffering from PTSD related to the death of her young son, which she blames herself for. The main character, Menley, and her husband, stay in a wonderful old house on the Eastern Seaboard, where her husband grew up. Strange things begin to happen in the house - and Menley begins to doubt her sanity, which is dangerous, especially since she is alone most of the time with her baby daughter Hannah. "Remember Me" is a good movie, one of the better made-for-tv adaptations. I enjoyed this movie. If you are a fan of Mary Higgins Clark's novels, watch this movie.

    A Very Good Movie

I am beginning to become a very big fan of Mary Higgins Clark. She is very good with plots and never giving away anything, but places every character under suspicion. This movie was excellent and I think it plays along the same lines as all her books/movies...in that you never can guess who did it until the end. I Would highly recommend this book and movie to anyone who like mysteries. However, I do not think it is available for sale because it is out of print. You may be able to buy it from a used or rare video store or see it on television. I watched it on the Lifetime Movie Network last night. IF you are interested in finding a copy online, then I would suggest ebay or inetvideo. I have purchased out of print/used videos that are in excellent condition.
