Lego has delivered some stunning sets based on the biggest IPs, including Avengers Tower and several Lord of the Rings sets. Fans have come to expect elaborate depictions of some iconic locations, scenes, and characters, and some of the most popular ones have been based on movies from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Recreating battles and scenery in impressive detail has been the biggest selling point of the sets. However, the latest Lego set based on arguably the most significant moment in Avengers: Endgame has turned out to be a big disappointment for many fans.
Lego's Marvel Avengers: Endgame Final Battle (76323) set was recently revealed and will be released on May 1, 2025. Given its name, fans would expect it to be a massive undertaking with plenty of pieces to do the scene justice. However, this new set is surprisingly small, with just 621 pieces included. While the set includes an impressive 10 mini-figures, the...

The hype for Sinners has officially increased tenfold, as an Academy Award-winning filmmaker has given the film a glowing endorsement. Sinners stars Michael B. Jordan in a vampire film, the third Warner Bros. movie of 2025, where an actor plays dual roles — following Mickey 17 and The Alto Knights. Sinners is directed by Ryan Coogler, who has just come off two back-to-back Black Panther films, meaning expectations are high. But movie fans can breathe a sigh of relief, as Spike Lee has given the film a glowing endorsement.
The legendary director behind classics like Do the Right Thing, Malcolm X, 25th Hour, BlacKkKlansman, and Da 5 Bloods, had the chance to screen Sinners early, and has nothing but great things to say about the movie. Lee posted a photo with director Ryan Coogler on his Instagram in front of the poster for Sinners, revealing he got to see a film screening...

In December 2023, Loki and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania star Jonathan Majors was found guilty of one count of reckless assault in the third degree and a charge of harassment as a violation, prompting Marvel Studios to cut ties with him.
That came after an altercation with his then-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, though Majors has long maintained his innocence. He's since completed a 52-week domestic violence intervention program and is now looking to mount a comeback.
Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, the Kang the Conqueror actor reflected on a member of his legal team breaking the news to him that his time in the MCU had ended...moments after he walked out of the criminal courthouse in lower Manhattan.
"He goes, 'I’m just gonna tell you now,'" Majors recalled. "'That way you’re not surprised, and you can start processing it. They fired you. Marvel fired you.'"

The Marvel Universe is expanding, and it shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. The superhero giant is now looking to take over the video game world after reaching unprecedented levels of success both on the big screen and comic book pages. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and Marvel Rivals were just the first in a new wave of titles coming soon to consoles. In 2025, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra will finally hit shelves, followed by the likes of EA Motive's Iron Man and Marvel's Blade at a later date. Marvel had already confirmed a 2025 release window for Skydance Media's upcoming superhero action-adventure Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, but now one of the game's prominent voice actors has helped narrow its launch window.
Talking to TheDirect at MultiCon in Los Angeles, California, actor Khary Payton, who voices Azzuri/Black Panther in the upcoming video game, provided a brief update on its development status while also dropping a holiday release window.
"We’re still working," Payton told the publication. "We’re planning on 2025… We’re thinking like a Christmas situation. But I'm so excited."
Now "Christmas" suggests a December release for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, but the holiday season in the United States typically kicks off with the shopping rush in November. Some holiday blockbuster titles also tend to launch in September and October, but that would push Marvel 1943 into the same window as Grand Theft Auto 6, which...

Call it Chekhov’s editing win. When Anora filmmaker Sean Baker beat Conclave editor Nick Emerson at the Oscars on Sunday night, it all but confirmed the night’s final result would be Anora crowned as Best Picture. That’s because Baker’s upset win in the category ahead of Conclave — the favorite in the odds and the presumed alternate pick to Anora in the Best Picture race — exploded the Edward Berger film's potential win package. Most pundits agreed that Conclave could win Best Picture with Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Editing, just like Argo did in 2013. But without the editing win, Conclave would’ve had to be Spotlight and won Best Picture with just a screenplay Oscar. Well, Conclave was never as strong as Spotlight throughout the season (and Spotlight didn’t have to face off against an industry juggernaut like Anora). So, Baker’s editing triumph was the ballgame.

For eight seasons, "Monk" struck that perfect balance between hard-cracking detective work and comedy. Police procedurals were a dime a dozen in the early 2000s, but the thing to set this one apart from its contemporaries was the fact the titular Adrian Monk (Tony Shalhoub) dealt with obsessive-compulsive disorder. This fueled his 312 phobias, which occasionally got in the way of him solving cases, but they also allowed him to view the world in a unique way that would help him solve various crimes.
"Monk" ended in 2009, but fans got one last fix thanks to 2023's made-for-Peacock movie, "Mr. Monk's Last Case," which /Film called "an overdue reunion" with much of the central cast reprising their roles. But it's not like the cast was kept in stasis for 13 years between the show's ending and the reunion. Many of them went on to other things, filling out their filmographies with myriad other projects.

Avengers: Doomsday welcomes Robert Downey Jr. back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, though the film sees the Oscar-winning actor switch to the dark side after being the titular supergroup's heroic leader for so long. With Downey Jr. appearing for the first time since the emotional ending of Endgame, Doomsday writer Stephen McFeely insists the movie won't be "betraying" that tragic Tony Stark scene.

Traditionally, the big final fights in the third act of Marvel Cinematic Universe films are the last chance for the hero to pull every trick in the book to win against their enemy. Losses are occasionally made on the way, especially in Avengers: Infinity War when the heroes lose for the first time against the Titan warlord Thanos. But there are other losses too, in the shape of plot holes that may not ruin the entire battle, but have people questioning the logistics of the fight.
The scale of these battles range from teams in the hundreds fighting against Earth's mightiest heroes to small, one-on-one battles that force the hero to act smartly on their own. But just because there are plot holes that don't make sense means they're bad fight scenes. Many of these are actually among the best in the MCU that defy the rules of our own...

"Coming back to do [Black] Panther 2 after the tragedy of losing Chadwick was an extremely tough one. I was in, like, pre-production for Creed 3, so I was like, right getting ready to go direct. At the time, I didn't even read the whole script, so I didn't know what the whole movie was about."

There are levels of pettiness. There’s casual and then, there’s Kendrick Lamar, who operates on a different plane of existence, where grudges are meticulously preserved like fine wine. And when the time is right? He serves them up ice cold.
Case in point, his recent Super Bowl halftime performance, where he seemingly dusted off a seven-year-old verse just to remind the world and, more importantly, Drake that he never forgets. That’s right, this isn’t just rap beef. This is generational hater energy at its peak, and we’re all just here to witness the masterpiece unfold.

But what makes this particular chapter of the Lamar-Drake saga even funnier is where it all started, not with some grand diss track or public spat, but with the most unexpected of sources, Black Panther. Yes, the Marvel movie.

Michael B. Jordan played one of the McU's best villains in 2018's Black Panther when he suited up as T'Challa's cousin, Erik Killmonger.
The character died but returned in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever when Shuri encountered Killmonger in the Ancestral Plane. He attempted to mould her into a Black Panther like him, and their impactful exchange played heavily into the sequel's final act.
During a recent interview with GQ, Jordan reflected on his surprise MCU return and revealed that filmmaker Ryan Coogler never provided him with the movie's full script.
That ultimately didn't matter, because, for Jordan, it was about doing right by the late Chadwick Boseman.

Captain America: Brave New World North America Box Office: Crossed A Major Milestone In 4 Days (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Captain America: Brave New World’s weekend actuals came in slightly lower than initially reported. However, even though the film’s first major milestone has not been taken away from it, Anthony Mackie impresses with his satisfactory performance as the new Cap. The film has a long way to go, but this milestone has undoubtedly lifted its makers’ spirits. Scroll below for the deets.
The movie opened to mixed reviews and might not be garnering the same attention as Deadpool and Wolverine, but if it keeps performing steadily, it might become a blockbuster. The film’s aerial actions are commendable and have been well-choreographed, which is a positive thing. Overall, the MCU movie looks good on the 3D screen. However, it, too, has its flaws.

With so many classic shows getting reboots or remakes, Michael B. Jordan hopes one beloved series won't be revisited. The Sinners star shares his thoughts on a potential revamp of the acclaimed crime drama, The Wire, and why Hollywood should "leave it where it is."
During a career retrospective feature with GQ, Jordan addressed his most iconic characters in TV shows and films, including his breakthrough turn as Wallace in The Wire. According to the award-winning actor, Jordan believes The Wire doesn't need a reboot given how revered the original is among critics and fans. "I would love to see that just remain, you know, without a reboot, without a recast, any of that stuff. Just leave it. Leave it where it is," he said. "I mean, maybe I’m biased because I’m a part of it, you know what I’m saying? I don’t want to see The Wire rebooted at all.

Quick LinksBlack Panther Recasting Rumors Invalidate Wakanda ForeverThe Next Black Panther Movie Has Nowhere to GoOne of the McU's Biggest Heroes May Have a Fading Star
The 2018 Marvel Studios movie Black Panther was a major success, with the film following the character's cinematic debut two years beforehand and cementing him as one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's most notable heroes. Sadly, things were derailed due to the tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman, who portrayed Black Panther/T'Challa until the release of Avengers: Endgame. Now, at least one more movie is planned, but the franchise itself might not be where it once was.
Rumors persist that T'Challa will soon be recast in the next few years, and this act would only make 2022's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever completely pointless. Furthermore, that movie already furthered a problem of the series not having much material to organically use for the property. Add in...

Marvel Studios tapped an Oscar-winning A-Lister, Mahershala Ali, to play the McU's Blade in 2019. However, nearly six years after the actor hit the stage at Comic-Con, the Daywalker's movie has yet to materialise.
In the meantime, Black Panther director Ryan Coogler has enlisted Michael B. Jordan to star in Sinners, a vampire movie that will see the Erik Killmonger actor play twin brothers. If Blade ever becomes a reality, it will be impossible for it to avoid comparisons to Coogler's horror debut which, in many respects, has beaten Marvel Studios to the punch.
Talking to GQ, Jordan showed empathy for the studio's repeated attempts to get Blade off the ground. "Launching any franchise, it’s tough," he acknowledged. "I hope it gets together. I want to see a Blade movie, you know what I’m saying? The Blade franchise was everything."

Ke Huy Quan has his face plastered everywhere. The screen icon, noted for his roles in The Goonies, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and most recently, his Oscar-winning turn in Everything Everywhere All At Once appears on posters, cardboard cutouts and even throw pillows all over the suites of The Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles. The reason? Quan opens the action-comedy Love Hurts on February 7. It marks his first leading role in a feature since his Oscar win.
Love Hurts sees Quan step into the role of Marvin, a hard-working real estate agent with a hidden past. Once upon a time, he worked as an assassin for his mobster brother. When an old flame, Rose (Ariana DeBose), reappears one Valentine’s Day, Marvin must fight to defend his new lifestyle — not to mention his actual life — from a group of bumbling hitmen tasked with bringing him back to the mob.

Black Panther's Lupita Nyong'o Reacts to Potential T'Challa Recasting, Denzel Washington Involvement
The Black Panther franchise could be in store for major changes as it anticipated threequel approaches amid speculation regarding a Chadwick Boseman successor as T'Challa and the potential involvement of Academy Award winner, Denzel Washington. One of the film series' stars, Lupita Nyong'o, weighs in on the possible additions.
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Nyong'o was asked about the possibility of Marvel recasting T'Challa for Black Panther 3 and other Marvel Cinematic Universe projects, plus Washington's potential role in the upcoming superhero blockbuster. While the possibilities are intriguing and have stirred up many debates, the Oscar-winning actor isn't getting caught up in the hype, claiming she'll wait until director Ryan Coogler confirms anything. "Well, I won't believe it until I hear it from Ryan himself, because what if Denzel has a role and I don't?" she said. "Let me stay humble and ignorant until the leader of the pack actually says something.

Sometimes, you have to lose yourself to find who you really are. In the case of Chadwick Boseman, who was taken from us far too soon, this quote rings true not only in his career choices but also in his personal battle. In a world where superheroes are meant to wear capes and conquer impossible odds, the late MCU actor was fighting a different kind of battle—a real one.
And while he was busy portraying royalty on the big screen, the reality was that the star of Black Panther was privately waging war against colon cancer, a fight he never publicly acknowledged until his death in August 2020.

Ryan Coogler has finally come clean about Sinners, his mysterious upcoming movie.
The Warner Bros. movie stars frequent Coogler collaborator Michael B. Jordan and hits theaters April 18. And while during the casting stage of the buzzy production many speculated it was a period vampire piece, the studio and Coogler camps strongly insinuated it was more than that.
At a virtual press conference for the movie’s trailer launch, Coogler, whose previous two outtings were the two Black Panther films for Marvel Studios, teased that although vampires were definitely in the film, the movie has a lot more going on.

Snowfall and Black Mirror star Damson Idris has long been a fan-favorite for several major roles, including the MCU’s Black Panther and James Bond. Rumors that have since claimed he turned the likes of Black Panther and 007 down. Now, the actor has taken to X/Twitter to set the record straight.
With a wonderfully sarcastic edge, Damson Idris took to his official X account to let all the fans know that, no, he has not turned down anything of the sort. Responding to a fan who said he “reportedly turned down the role of Black Panther. He would have been perfect for it too. Oh well,” Idris said this was not even close to being the case. Thanks to her roles in Quentin Tarantino films like Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill, Uma Thurman is nothing short of a Hollywood icon. She's also no stranger to either blockbuster fare or comic book movies after playing the sultry Poison Ivy in 1997's Batman & Robin.
Could a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe be next? According to scooper @MyTimeToShineH, Thurman has had talks with Marvel Studios for an MCU role.
There's no word on who the studio is eyeing her for, but with Avengers: Doomsday, Avengers: Secret Wars, and the Mutant Saga on the horizon, there are any number of iconic characters Thurman could bring to life on screen.
Talking of possible MCU castings, much has been said this week about the new T'Challa/Black Panther. While a few names have already done the rounds online, we can remove one possible contender from the list: Damson Idris.

Michael B. Jordan has a Marvel superhero he has been dreaming of playing since he was a child, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe has now made that casting possible seven years after his debut in the franchise. Jordan is no stranger to superhero films. He has played two Marvel characters in the past. First, the actor gave life to Johnny Storm in 2015's ill-received Fantastic Four. After that, Jordan found success as Killmonger in Black Panther, being a key element of one of the McU's best movies.
Michael B. Jordan has appeared in Black Panther, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and the animated What If...? series as Erik Killmonger, playing both the original version of the villain — alive and as a spirit — and different multiverse variants of the character. Despite his MCU role, many fans have asked Marvel to bring back the actor. With the Multiverse Saga still having a few years left,...
