‘Moonlight’: How the Transformative Power of An Unexpected Role Changed Naomie Harris’ Career — Consider This
Trevante Rhodes, Ashton Sanders, and Alex R. Hibbert in Moonlight (2016)
So often, actors and actresses are lauded for undertaking jaw-dropping physical changes to play what frequently amounts to their most important roles. Time and again, performers who are willing to mold their bodies to a part – think Christian Bale in “The Machinist,” Charlize Theron in “Monster” or Matthew McConaughey in “Dallas Buyers Club,” just to name a very recent few – reap the biggest rewards.

For “Moonlight” star Naomie Harris, her greatest challenge wasn’t of the physical variety, it was the emotional. In order to play Paula, the mother of the film’s central character Chiron, over three different time periods, the British actress didn’t need to make adjustments to her body, but to her own heart.

Harris has worked steadily in both film and television since she was a kid – as a youngster, she had recurring roles on British series like “Simon and the Witch” and “Runaway Bay,...

Sir Christopher Lee, one of the world's most celebrated actors, has died at the age of 93.

In a career spanning seven decades, Sir Christopher had over 280 screen credits in film and TV, and brought some of cinema's most iconic characters to life - Dracula, Saruman, Mycroft Holmes, Count Dooku, Frankenstein's monster, The Wicker Man's Lord Summerisle and James Bond villain Scaramanga, to name just a few.

El James’ Husband To Whip Fifty Shades Darker Script Into Shape
Book author El James has tightened her iron grip over the creative direction of Fifty Shades Darker, the green-lit follow-up to this year’s hit erotic romance, now that her husband Niall Leonard has closed a deal to pen the script for the sequel.

Rumor had it that James herself wanted to scribe the adaptation of her bestselling book, after being dissatisfied with the experience of working with director Sam Taylor-Johnson and screenwriter Kelly Marcel on Fifty Shades of Grey. Leonard, though obviously still close enough to his wife that she’ll be able to have the final say over every aspect of the sequel, may be better-qualified. He’s a novelist with titles like Crusher, Incinerator and Shredder, but he’s also written scripts in the past, for shows like Ballykissangel, Holby City, Monarch in the Glen and Wild at Heart. He landed the job after writing an outline for the sequel,...

E L James' husband, Niall Leonard, to pen Fifty Shades Darker
Niall Leonard will be writing the screenplay to Fifty Shades Of Grey follow-up, Fifty Shades Darker...

With over a half a billion dollars banked from this year's Fifty Shades Of Grey movie, it's surprising that it's taken Universal Pictures so long to get moving on the second book of E L James' trilogy, Fifty Shades Darker. But, as you probably know, things haven't really been too straightforward.

Director Sam Taylor-Johnson, who was signed up to direct the entire trilogy of Fifty Shades films, quit the sequel. It had been little secret that she and E L James didn't exactly see eye to eye, and given that James has creative sign-off over the movies, it was a fight that ultimately only one person could win.

Also not returning is screenwriter Kelly Marcel. And the report had been that James herself was to have a go at penning the script for Fifty Shades Darker.
