From Real Housewives … to past Olympians… to a couple of Survivors… to Taylor Swift’s potential future mother-in-law, Peacock has announced the cast for The Traitors Season 4.

The popular competition takes a number of famous contestants, places them under the control of host Alan Cumming in a Scotland castle and involves them in the ultimate murder-mystery game.

The stars are split groups, traitors and faithfuls, as the faithfuls must determine who the traitors are and banish them from the game in order to win a grand cash prize of $250,000.

Renewed for a second season earlier this month, CBS inadvertently revealed in a press release that veteran writer Tracey Thomson had joined the show as an executive producer, replacing Guza.

It’s unknown at this time whether Thomson will also serve as the show’s new co-head writer, working alongside creator and head writer Michele Val Jean in crafting the show’s long-term story, though it is likely considering her extensive writing career in daytime that also includes writing episodes of “General Hospital...

Rinna appeared on the Still the Place podcast alongside her former Melrose Place co-stars Courtney Thorne-Smith, Daphne Zuniga, and Laura Leighton. The soap alums talked about their time on the juicy primetime soap. Rinna also got candid about her time on Rhobh. She admitted that starring on the reality show came with a hefty price tag.

Production doesn’t pay for the lavish parties and trips that the cast goes on every season. The cast members have to pay for everything, including their makeup and hair. “You said that each cast member has to pay for her own parties?” Thorne-Smith asked.

Jack Wagner joined General Hospital as Frisco Jones. When he left, he thought his soap opera past was behind him. He had no interest in joining Melrose Place. At first, he nearly skipped the audition.

It wasn’t the genre that he was against. Wagner feared that he would get typecast. When his agent suggested the role as Dr. Peter Burns, he tossed the thought aside. Wagner was asked to audition for the show. His initial reaction was, “No chance. I’m not doing it. It feels like a soap.”

Jack Wagner says that starring in soap operas is no easy feat.

The 65-year-old actor, who has famously had roles in General Hospital, The Bold and the Beautiful, and Melrose Place, opened up about what he’s learned about the challenges of starring in soap operas since the 1980s.

“I gotta tell you honestly, people that are from A-list films have no idea what it’s like to have 60 pages of dialogue on one day of a soap opera and work 14 hours and get it all right. Soap opera actors really have an edge. They work their a– off,” he told Us Weekly.

Born Mark Steven Dobies on April 3, 1959, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the late actor passed away on Tuesday, March 11 in Dunellan, New Jersey, although no official cause of death was announced.

An obituary posted on the Apyre National Cremation Services website notes Dobies was a “loving father, accomplished athlete, and talented actor.”

During his school days, Dobies earned a football scholarship to attend Delaware Valley University (then Delaware Valley College), where he and his teammates won the school its first Middle Atlantic Conference football championship in 1980. Exclusive: Emily In Paris creator Darren Star and New Amsterdam creator David Schulner have teamed for Uncorked, a half-hour, single-camera dramedy that has landed at Netflix with a script-to-series commitment, sources tell Deadline.

Details of the premise are being kept under wraps, but I hear the series is set in Napa Valley and, like many of Star’s series, has a female lead.

Star and Schulner are co-writing and executive producing Uncorked through Universal Television, part of Universal Studio Group, where Star has an overall and Schulner a first-look deal.

The duo recently pitched the show, which had five buyers pursuing it in a competitive situation, I hear. Uncorked ultimately landed at Netflix, home of Star’s rom-com hit Emily In Paris, with a significant script-to-series commitment.

Reps for Netflix and Universal TV declined comment.

On Feb. 19, Deadline revealed that Peacock has snatched a script-to-series commitment for Climbing in Heels, the first new show under Star's new overall deal at Universal Television. Universal snapped up the rights to the debut novel by Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas last year, with Star attached, even though the book still hasn't even been published. The novel hits shelves on April 29.

Peacock has won the rights to develop Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas’ upcoming novel “Climbing in Heels” into a TV series, Variety has learned.

Peacock has given the drama project a script-to-series commitment. It was first reported in December that Universal TV was taking the show to market, with Goldsmith-Thomas and Darren Star set to serve as co-writers and executive producers.

“I am thrilled that ‘Climbing In Heels’ was taken off the table so quickly by Peacock,” Goldsmith-Thomas said. “It is the perfect home for Darren and I to bring these fabulously complicated and colorful characters to life”

The official description of the show states that it is “a fictional tale following the rise of five ambitious secretaries navigating the glitzy world of 1980s Hollywood while offering a glimpse into the boys-will-be-boys club and the women who wanted a seat at a table where they were expected to serve.”

A different comedy series stands out — Younger. The comedy-drama series, which premiered in 2015 on TV Land, received positive reviews and ran for seven seasons. In a statement shared on social media, Egglesfield opened up about his diagnosis and his determination to confront it with a positive mindset.

Reflecting on an interview he gave at 25, Egglesfield recalled saying, “It’s not the hand that you’ve been dealt because you can’t change that. It’s how you play the cards that counts.” He shared that this perspective has helped him navigate life’s challenges, including his recent prostate cancer diagnosis.

Egglesfield emphasized that his cancer was detected early, and after thorough research and consultations with doctors, he decided to take proactive steps by undergoing surgery. He expressed gratitude to his medical team and supporters, stating, “Thank you to everyone else who has supported me and extended your well wishes!
