Playboy: Wet & Wild III

'Wet & Wild III' earns points with lovely Playmates of the past - some big names too - but it's still bogged down by series problems. Short scenes that lack nudity still run rampant here and setups take up too much time. Like the past two entries there's still good pieces to enjoy, but it's not a wall to wall winner.

"Intro" is unique footage and not your typical upcoming montage so I give credit where it's due. A bevy of hot Playmates (Corinna Harney, Rebecca Ferratti among others) get naked in a warehouse as shots of them being drenched in water from above are intercut (2.5 mins). "All Fired Up" sees ladies posing as firefighters complete with a working hose, real fire, truck. After the flames are out, they ditch the uniforms (at least partially naked), but it takes a moment to arrive at this point and it's not like the scene is super long. Only real joy was catching Playmate Petra Verkaik albeit briefly. Honestly the good shots are few and far in between (2.5 mins).

"Wet & Wonderful" is a clip I've seen countless times, but Pam Anderson wet in a see thru black top, naked is perhaps the best piece of video she did for them (2.5 mins). "Day Dreams" is ladies (Ava Fabian, Eloise Broady, Rebecca Ferratti) at a pool. Good shots but also artsy style, simple (4 mins). "Designer Water" has ladies (Eloise, Rebekka Armstrong, Jacqueline Sheen) working in a bottled water factory that sees them get out of their uniforms, get wet. Not enough visuals to really please (3 mins). "Beat the Heat" gives you Wendy Kaye naked quick in simple fashion, but also short (2 mins). "Hidden Treasures" is an Indiana Jones inspired piece where the man uncovers a tomb with Playmates (Rebecca, Renee Tenison, Karen Foster) as quasi-Egyptian gods come to life. Decent in the visuals category if not corny (4 mins).

"Fun in the Sun" finds ladies (Ava, Rebecca, Eloise) twirling umbrellas or in a pool in see thru swimsuits that never come off (2 mins). "Sun Showers" is wall to wall Corinna naked with desert wall of rock for a background. You can't fault the simplicity when it gives nonstop nude sights and Corinna is complimented by many close-ups (3 mins). "Wet & Wild A Go Go" has a janitor cleaning up which leads to a 70's throwback segment where women (Wendy, Corinna, Ava, Kerri Kendall, Deborah Driggs) dance, strip (5 mins). "Lemon Coolher" per the title is a hot day, lemonade and Playmate Brittany York laid out with her boobs, buns given the once over (2.5 mins). "Splash Dance" is a 'Flashdance' element again (original used it too) where three ladies (Rebecca, Brittany, Diana Lee) get soaked in a chair (2.5 mins).

"Fill'er Up" is a gas station bit where the male attendant gets to soak up the naked Playmates (Kerri, Rebekka, Corinna, Eloise) with an obvious ZZ Top feel. They use a hose to get wet, but honestly not great (3 mins). "Party Time" goes from B&W to color in the desert with high energy. Vibe is good, but you're settling for quick shots that don't come often enough (3 mins). "Waltzing Waters" has ladies laying in shallow water, but right away the emphasis is a little too artsy and the camera doesn't stay still for the good shots that are fleeting (2 mins). "All Fired Up Again" returns to firefighter Playmates for round two. First minute delivers many topless shots on the truck as it drives along. Second, third see the views move inside for blink & you'll miss it shots of the topless kind (3 mins).

Quite honestly I'm running out of ways to sum up the early entries in the 'Wet & Wild' series. 'III' continues being a mixed bag with a few good spots, but little to truly get excited about. It's an improvement from 'II' and Playmates Kerri Kendall, Petra Verkaik, Rebecca Ferratti, Corinna Harney & Pamela Anderson are always a pleasant sight to see.

I enjoyed the whole Wet and Wild Series but this one was the best in my book due to the firefighter scene. There was one particular model that I rewound and played again so many times I wore out the tape. Renee Tenison has one of the best figures of any playboy model in history. Do yourself a favour and buy this tape.

Three lovely playmates report for duty at the Fire Department. They strip naked and give the engine a good old wash and then they don fire helmets, climb on board and go flying down the street on a call to put out a fire. Started deliberately, I should think.
