Sari Mällinen and Allan Tuppurainen in Rölli - hirmuisia kertomuksia (1991)

Trivia

Rölli - hirmuisia kertomuksia

Edit
In his home country the Finnish director Olli Soinio is best known for the successful horror comedy Kuutamosonaatti and its less successful sequel Kuutamosonaatti II: Kadunlakaisijat. His next film Rölli - hirmuisia kertomuksia was a fantasy film mainly aimed for children, but essentially followed the same path by incorporating some darker tones to the lighter storylines. One Finnish critic even called it "trash film for children".
The main villain of the film, the High Priest of the Empire of Evil commands the group of Black Trashers. Ultimately they all worship the Great Trash, which was a rare sight in Finnish movies at that time: A big, slimy, slug-like animatronic monster created by the Finnish special effect artist Esa Parkatti.
