AMC's preparing for the pulpit. Today, the network released a short teaser for the full-length trailer of their new series, Preacher. 

The trailer will premiere on November 1, alongside the trailer for another of AMC's anticipated action dramas, Into the Badlands, during an extended episode of The Walking Dead. 

Based on the popular comic book series from Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon, Preacher centers on a Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), a small town Texan priest who becomes possessed by a supernatural creature. Together, he, his ex-girlfriend, and his Irish Vampire best friend "embark on a journey to, literally, find God."

The series comes from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, who directed the first episode, and Breaking Bad writer Sam Catlin.

Though only a few seconds long, the teaser promises plenty of gore and God to be had.

Though it doesn't come as much of a surprise, AMC has officially renewed The Walking Dead for a seventh season that will debut next October along with new episodes of Talking Dead.

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s small-screen adaptation of Garth Ennis’ Preacher is set to air sometime next year, though no exact date has been announced. Thus far, we’ve had some set snaps and a promo poster (see above) to feast our eyes on, but not so much as an official character image – and yet the first trailer will be with us next week.

AMC has announced that we’ll see the very first footage from the show on November 1st during a special 90-minute long episode of The Walking Dead, which is expected to include a Morgan flashback. The network’s press release also includes a Preacher synopsis, and from the sounds of it, the basic premise of this take, at least, will be faithful to Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s source material.

Though most new shows of the Fall have already premiered, four of the biggest have yet to come starting with next week's launch of Starz' "Ash vs. Evil Dead," followed two weeks later by AMC's martial arts drama "Into the Badlands".

But the most high-profile, aside from Netflix's "Marvel's Jessica Jones" of course, is that of Amazon Studios' most ambitious production to date - a TV series adaptation of Philip K. Though there was a location-centric teaser back in March, today comes the first real footage from AMC's much anticipated spin-off series "Fear the Walking Dead" as part of a trailer for the network's 2015 line-up.

The clip includes a first look at Cliff Curtis and Kim Dickens's characters in the series which kicks off in the Summer and still has yet to lock a specific premiere date.

Press Release -- "New York – May 11, 2015 – AMC announced today the start of production on its highly anticipated new series, “Fear the Walking Dead,” in Vancouver. Additional filming will also take place in Los Angeles at a later date.

A companion series to “The Walking Dead,” the #1 show on television among adults 18-49, “Fear the Walking Dead” is executive produced by Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero, David Alpert and showrunner David Erickson and produced by AMC Studios. Co-Executive Producer Adam Davidson, who directed the pilot, is also directing the second and third episodes. The series’ first season, consisting of six one-hour episodes, will premiere on AMC in late summer.

Ahead of network upfronts next week, a number of channels put in notices for pickups and cancellations over the week. Fox’s Backstrom, CBS’ Battle Creek, The McCarthys, and Stalker, NBC’s Marry Me, One Big Happy, State of Affairs, and Constantine all became one-season shows. NBC’s About a Boy also got a cancellation notice this week, as did Fox’s The Mindy Project and The Following.

Fox has also given series orders to Minority Report and Lucifer, while CBS has picked up Supergirl. Among returning shows, The Simpsons got a two-season renewal, while IFC renewed Comedy Bang! Bang!, and The Playstation Network gave its original series Powers a second season. NBC also renewed The Mysteries of Laura and The Night Shift, as well as the sitcom Undateable, whose entire third season will consist of live episodes.

AMC Networks took advantage of all the eyeballs glued to The Walking Dead season five finale to give audiences a glimpse of its two upcoming drama series Humans and Into the Badlands.

Humans is an eight-part sci-fi drama jointly produced by Channel 4, Kudos, and AMC. It centers on the disturbing events that take place when a suburban family obtains a refurbished ‘Synth,’ a highly-functional humanoid servant.

The series, based on the acclaimed Swedish drama Real Humans, stars William Hurt, Katherine Parkinson, Tom Goodman-Hill, Colin Morgan, Rebecca Front, Neil Maskell, and Gemma Chan. It was penned by British duo Jonathan Brackley and Sam Vincent. The show will premiere on AMC in the summer of 2015.

During tonight's season finale of AMC's The Walking Dead, the network released the first trailer for their upcoming spinoff Fear the Walking Dead. AMC also showcased another new series during the finale, Into the Badlands, which is slated for release sometime this fall.
