Halloween’s beloved Final Girl, Jamie Lee Curtis, continues to thrive in Hollywood. The 66-year-old thespian finally won her first Academy Award back in 2023, and now the Oscar winner has announced that filming on Season 1 of Prime Video and Blumhouse Television's upcoming streaming project, Scarpetta, has officially wrapped. Curtis, who stars with Nicole Kidman in the crime thriller, wrote in a post she added to her official Instagram account:
"It takes a village to make a TV show from a great book series come to screen life! #scarpetta Season One is done for Jlc and I couldn’t be a prouder producer/actor!"
News that Curtis had joined the Prime Video project broke back in September 2024. The Academy Award-winning performer will not only star in the show, but she will also serve as an executive producer. Oscar-winner Kidman will also be pulling double duty as actress and EP alongside the Halloween icon.

It is not often that a leaked trailer for a canceled project is met with whoops of joy, but that is exactly the reaction that the reveal of The CW’s Powerpuff Girls series has received. It is now almost two years since the plug was pulled on the live-action iteration of the iconic animated series, and while there was outcry from Powerpuff Girls fans everywhere at the time, the only crying going on now is tears of joy that the “god-awful” series never saw the light of day.
Take a trip back to 2020, when the first word of a live-action Powerpuff Girls series was revealed to a reasonable level of excitement. The following year, the lead trio of Chloe Bennett, Dove Cameron, and Yana Perrault were cast as older versions of Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, respectively, and a script by Diablo Cody and Heather Regnier was in place for the pilot episode.

A so-called trailer for The CW’s canceled “Powerpuff Girls” live-action show is circulating online — and let’s just say it’s easy to see why this one didn’t make it to air.
Sources from The CW confirmed to Variety that the video does indeed feature footage from the scrapped series. However, an official trailer for the pilot was never actually made. Instead, the video that’s circulating online as its “trailer” appears to be a fan-made collection of several scenes from the project put together, including an alcoholic Bubbles drunkenly burping and Buttercup refusing to wear her green dress because it’s “normative and ass-ugly.”
This too-real show was ordered in 2020. In the live-action series, the citizens of Townsville turn against the crime-fighting trio, causing them to break up. But when darkness returns to their home, Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup reunite. The series was written by Heather Regnier...

Mayim Bialik became a fan favorite after playing Amy Farrah Fowler on The Big Bang Theory. As Sheldon’s equally awkward yet brilliant girlfriend, she brought a fun element to the show, winning over audiences with her wit and humor. But when it came to appearances, she was never meant to be the standout. That role was reserved for Penny, who fit the show’s idea of the classic beauty.

Mayim Bialik from The Big Bang Theory almost fell prey to Hollywood’s obsession with beauty. While there is nothing wrong with appreciating beauty, holding a certain type of look superior over others is harmful. The damage only increases when people are ostracized for not matching up to that unrealistic standard.

In an industry as competitive as Hollywood the repercussions of that unrealistic beauty standard increase tenfold. Especially when many doors get barred from actresses who do not adhere to the standards that would otherwise be open to them.
The Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik, too, almost came close to caving into the pressure at one point. However, being a part of the industry from a young age made her overcome the pressure at last.

Riverdale has become somewhat of an infamous show in pop culture. Despite being one of the last popular teen dramas to follow the 22-episode format, with seven seasons to its name, most regard it as a very bizarre series. Based on the Archie Comics, the series follows Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, and Jughead Jones in the small town of Riverdale. Unlike the lighthearted comics, the series features dark themes such as murder mysteries, gang wars, cults, and supernatural elements.
While the show is often remembered for going off the rails very early on, many will remember that the first season of the series was rather good, following a simple murder mystery plot. After keeping audiences entertained as the sweet and sassy Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz for a decade in the pop culture phenomenon The Big Bang Theory, actress Melissa Rauch continued her impressive sitcom run with the revival of the popular '80s series Night Court, which she both stars in and executive produces. In the modern day reimagining, Rauch appears as Judge Abby Stone, who heads to New York City to serve as the magistrate for Manhattan's Criminal Court, a position formerly held by her late father Harry Stone (original sitcom star Harry Anderson).
Night Court is currently in its third season and has emerged as a must-see sitcom for viewers, and in the January 14, 2025, episode, Rauch was sensationally reunited with her former Tbbt co-star Mayim Bialik, in which the Blossom icon portrays a sidesplitting, exaggerated version of herself as she is forced to appear in Abby's court to settle a dispute. Jim Parsons, who originated the role of (old) Sheldon Cooper on Chuck Lorre's hit CBS sitcom "The Big Bang Theory," may be hesitant about returning to the role ... but his on-screen wife Mayim Bialik, who played Amy Farrah Fowler on the series, has a very different take on the idea.
Bialik, who recently guest-starred on the NBC reboot of "Night Court", told Yahoo that she had a great time reuniting with Rauch and that she would love to bring "The Big Bang Theory" back in some shape or form. "With all due respect to Jim, I think that there's a lot of interest and love for these characters and I'd be super happy to get to revisit [it] in any way," Bialik told the outlet, keeping Parsons' less optimistic words in mind. Mayim Bialik is well-known for playing Amy Farrah Fowler on the long-running series, The Big Bang Theory. The actress admitted that she herself doesn’t really watch the series. Discussing this in an interview, the star also touched on the end of the show.

Bialik first came to prominence as a child star in the television series Blossom, playing the title character. Over the years, she’s had many notable roles, such as appearing as a Jeopardy! host from 2021 to 2023.
However, she notably had a career resurgence through playing Amy Farrah Fowler on The Big Bang Theory. Starting to play the character in 2010, the shy neuroscientist, who served as Sheldon Cooper’s love interest, quickly became a fan favorite. Notably, the character was a good fit for Bialik, as she also has a PhD degree in neuroscience in real life.

Ahead of the show's return on January 14, two new preview images from Night Court season 3 have teased a reunion between Melissa Rauch and a fellow Big Bang Theory alumni. The NBC sitcom revived the 1980s series for a new generation, with Rauch taking on the role of New York City Judge Abby Stone as she becomes the magistrate assigned to Manhattan Criminal Court's night shift. Rauch previously starred in The Big Bang Theory as Bernadette Rotenkowski-Wolowitz with a PhD in microbiology who joined the show in season 3, becoming a main character in the following season.
With Night Court set to return after a seasonal hiatus, Entertainment Weekly has revealed both images and a new clip from season 3's fifth episode, including its highly-anticipated Big Bang Theory reunion. So, imagine you’re on a super celebrated TV show. You’re playing a beloved character for nine whole seasons, and millions of people know your face. You’d think you’d be glued to the TV, watching every single episode, right? Well, not Mayim Bialik.
In fact, she’s never actually watched herself on The Big Bang Theory. Can you believe that? The very actress who played Amy Farrah Fowler, one of the show’s most requisite characters, has openly admitted that she never watches her performances on the show. Ever.

Actress Mayim Bialik played the role of Amy Farrah Fowler, the equally straight-shooting girlfriend of Sheldon Cooper in The Big Bang Theory. The actress reportedly began her career as a child actor and even headlined the sitcom Blossoms before she took a break to focus on her education.
While she played a genius neuroscientist in the sitcom, her real life was not far from that as she had already received a PhD in neuroscience before she joined the show. The actress mentioned that her academic career actually helped her land the role as the writers would ask for suggestions from her to see if they had got the information right.

The feud between Cm Punk and Seth Rollins has quickly become WWE's hottest rivalry. A match that was originally in the cards for one of the main events of WrestleMania 40 has managed to stretch its storyline eight months after Mania without either man laying a finger on the other until recently. It's a testament to how invested fans are that both men were able to maintain fan interest.
The only ingredient that WWE failed to apply over a year's worth of storytelling between Seth Rollins and Cm Punk is a clear-cut reason as to why they hate each other. That may have been intentional, as WWE has become known for its long, drawn-out storylines as of late (with Bloodline being a prime example).
It wasn't until the December 9th episode of Raw that WWE finally gave Punk and Rollins the space to explain their grievances. Now, audiences can better...

The Powerpuff Girls meet The Simpsons in a new animation mashup. The Powerpuff Girls was an animated series created by Craig McCracken, which began telling the tale of Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles in 1998. The series ran for six seasons, from 1998 to 2004. The Simpsons, on the other hand, is a less kid-oriented animated series that started almost a decade earlier than The Powerpuff Girls, airing its first episode in 1989. The show has continued on since, and The Simpsons season 36 is currently in progress.

The best The Powerpuff Girls quotes show why the adventures of Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup are fondly remembered as one of the most memorable Cartoon Network series of their era. Although the show was generally geared towards young girls, audiences of all genders and ages warmed to the feminine superhero cartoon, which twisted or outright broke many of the sexist stereotypes and tropes of the 1990s and early 2000s.
The Powerpuff Girls is so fondly remembered because of the girls themselves. Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup were all incredibly endearing, but each had distinct personalities. The many lessons both the reboot and the original run taught audiences contributed to the show's staying power, and all three of the super-powered sisters have provided some of the best Powerpuff Girls quotes from the show's initial six seasons and the 2016 reboot.

Fans of “The Big Bang Theory” and “Blossom” are in for a treat during Mayim Bialik’s upcoming “Night Court” guest star spot, which Melissa Rauch teases includes “many” Easter eggs for both shows.
“People can expect to see many ‘Big Bang’ Easter eggs, both ‘Big Bang’ Easter eggs and ‘Blossom’ Easter eggs throughout the episode,” Rauch told TheWrap of the Season 3 episode.
The sitcom will serve as an on-screen reunion for Rauch and Bialik after last starring together on “The Big Bang Theory,” with Rauch saying, “We have, of course, kept in touch since ‘Big Bang,’ although we haven’t been on set together since our season finale.” Bialik will also reunite with John Larroquette after she appeared on “The John Larroquette Show” in the ’90s.
In the upcoming episode, Bialik will play what Rauch calls a “bizarro version of Mayim” as the former takes the stand as a night court defendant.

When a show runs for a really long time, continuity mistakes and storyline errors are bound to pop up — but this one from "The Big Bang Theory" feels just a little bit egregious, to be honest. So what is it? Sheldon Cooper, as played by Jim Parsons, is supposed to be allergic to cats, but then an entire episode centers around the fact that he adopts like, a dozen cats.
At the very beginning of the series — the show's third-ever episode "The Fuzzy Boots Corollary" — it's firmly established that Sheldon is allergic to felines, which doesn't feel particularly surprising based on his character; he's obsessed with cleanliness and order, so an allergy to household pets dovetails nicely with his need for everything to be proper and perfect.
This character trait only becomes a problem in the show's fourth season — specifically, in the season's third episode "The Zazzy Substitution" — when Sheldon,...

Did The Big Bang Theory foreshadow Sheldon’s relationship with Amy? (Photo Credit – Instagram)
When The Big Bang Theory first aired, it focused on four geeky scientists. But then Penny entered, and the whole scenario changed. But then, in season 3, Mayim Bialik appeared as Amy Farrah Fowler. Although Amy officially debuted in the Season 3 finale, hints of her arrival had been dropped since Season 1. In The Bat Jar Conjecture, Raj (Kunal Nayyar) jokingly mentioned, “You know who is very smart is the girl who played TV’s Blossom,” referring to Bialik herself.
Sure, it was just a throwaway gag at the time, but it indicated that the writers had Bialik—and, by extension, Amy—on their minds long before they pulled the trigger on her character. Who knew a simple joke about a sitcom star would one day lead to Sheldon’s perfect match?

Get ready for a Big Bang Theory reunion on Night Court! See who Mayim Bialik is playing on the NBC sitcom!
Fans of Night Court are already used to the comedic styling of star Melissa Rauch thanks to her years on The Big Bang Theory. While she wasn't part of the original cast, Rauch soon connected with fans as Bernadette, showing fantastic comedic chops and a great style. She rose up with a marriage to Howard as well as raising a family.
She was a good contrast to Mayim Bialik as the former Blossom star was also notable on the series as Amy, Sheldon's future wife. After Tbbt ended, Rauch moved on to Night Court, a sequel series to the 1984-1992 NBC sitcom. She plays Abby Stone, daughter of Judge Harry Stone (the late Harry Anderson), who now presides over the same Manhattan courthouse that sees a flood of weirdos.

"The Big Bang Theory" may have broken its own reality by casting Mayim Bialik in its third season. That's because the show mentioned the actress back in season 1 -- a reference that made her later appearance a bit more meta and paradoxical than the show usually gets.
Bialik comes up in the show's thirteenth episode, "The Bat Jar Conjecture," when Sheldon (Jim Parsons) gets booted from the core group's physics bowl team. In search of a new fourth member, the guys start brainstorming, and Raj's first idea is a bit out there.
Ask nearly anyone to describe Mr. T. and you’ve got the same description: the mohawk, the gold jewelry, the tank top, the muscles…It’s so distinct that it must be planned. And it is. But we bet you couldn’t tell us the significance of any of it: what the mohawk and chains symbolize, what the “T” really means deep down. And we bet you couldn’t tell us Mr. T.’s real name if your mama’s life depended on it. Is it for Tender? Or Tough? Maybe a little of both, depending on if he’s spitting motivational phrases or ready to whoop some butt at the club.
But rest assured, every move of Mr. T.’s – ever since being discovered by Sylvester Stallone – has been calculated, whose presence and aura – despite being tied to one specific moment in time – remains unforgettable. And yet, we know so little about the man.
