Plot

After inheriting a diner, Garr moves her family from the city. Her kids learn tricks from Aunt Zena and get expelled. Garr threatens orphanages for kids and asylum for Aunt Z if pranks continue.

It is not about Aunt Z moving her niece and family....The niece, Garr, moves her family away from the city. The kids enjoy playing tricks, learned from Aunt Z (MacLaine). The kids get kicked out of school one too many times and after inheriting the diner, they move. Garr promises them if they don't quit embarrassing her with their foolishness, she will put the kids in separate orphanages and MacLaine in a mental institute!. All turns out well.—Shirlee Rogers

A former vaudevillian magician (MacLaine) moves her straight-laced niece (Garr) and her two mischievous children to a small town. When the two kids get in trouble with a neighbor for stealing vegetables from his garden, the aunt concocts an illusion of ghosts in revenge.
