Adriana Lima is one of the most famous lingerie models in the world, and she plans on staying there. The 36-year-old Victoria’s Secret Angel is still working with the brand, despite Internet buzz that she quit her involvement with the lingerie giant.
On Sunday, Lima posted a heartfelt Instagram note saying she would no longer “take off her clothes for empty causes.” Her words sparked some to question whether she would be hanging up her wings for good. But the model, who just walked her 18th Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Shanghai in November, will continue to collaborate...

“I plan to be at 20. Two more years. Maybe more, I don’t know,” the 36-year-old model shared with People.

When I was growing up, there was a show that I loved to watch called Highway to Heaven. It had been years since I had seen the show, then it recently popped up on Netflix and I immediately started rewatching it.
As I watched the show, I was flooded with nostalgia and the memories of the show started flooding back. The show was filled with hard-hitting drama, humor, inspiration, and even action in some cases. One of the things I loved about the series most was the positive heartfelt messages that each episode revolves around.
Most episodes stressed moral themes and dealt with common human failings, such as egotism, bitterness and greed. Other episodes addressed such topics as racism, bullying, Mental illness, self-esteem, the environment, cancer, and more. There are also some big stars that got their start in the series like Paul Walker, Will Wheaton, and Josh Brolin. It...

With a financial backing from Studio Ghibli’s Toshio Suzuki, the sequel to the “Ghost in the Shell” movie had a production budget of $20 million, most of which were allocated towards the visuals. The film went on winning a number of awards, and was the first Japanese animated feature film to be nominated for the Palme d’Or at the Festival de Cannes.
This time is set in 2032, three years after the events of the original, and revolves mainly around Batou. The line between humans and machines has been blurred even more, and is now almost beyond distinction. Humans have forgotten that they are human, and the few who still own an organic body coexist with cyborgs (human spirits inhabiting entirely mechanized bodies) and dolls (robots with no human elements at all).
Batou is partnered with Togusa, one of the few individuals without a cybernetic body, who even has a regular family.

Hi! Welcome to the first installment of Needle in a [Comic] Haystack where I tell you all about the incredibly awesome comics that you’re missing out on because, honestly, there’s just so many of them. For my first column, we’re taking a dive into the past to focus on one of the best comic creators – and my personal favorite writer – the dark fantasy (and a bunch of other stuff) writer Caitlin R Kiernan.
Caitlin R Kiernan is perhaps best known for her work in dark fiction, the writer of novels such as The Red Tree or The Drowning Girl. You might also know her from her dark erotica series Sirenia Digest or, heck, even her novel adaptation of the film adaptation of Beowulf. She’s pretty prolific is the point I’m getting at.
But the thing we’re going to talk about today is her comics, which you should read…...

Lucille Ball: The glamour look. Cate Blanchett to play Lucille Ball: Actress won Oscar for incarnating Ball's fellow Rko contract player Katharine Hepburn Two-time Oscar winner Cate Blanchett is reportedly slated to star in a biopic of former Rko and MGM actress and big-time television comedienne Lucille Ball. Aaron Sorkin, Oscar winner for David Fincher's The Social Network, will be responsible for the screenplay. According to Entertainment Weekly, the Lucille Ball film biopic will focus on Ball's two-decade marriage to her I Love Lucy costar Desi Arnaz. Translators introduction: This article by Mireille Latil Le Dantec, the second of two parts, was originally published in issue 40 of Cinématographe, September 1978. The previous issue of the magazine had included a dossier on "La qualité française" and a book of a never-shot script by Jean Grémillon (Le Printemps de la Liberté or The Spring of Freedom) had recently been published. The time was ripe for a re-evaluation of Grémillon's films and a resuscitation of his undervalued career. As this re-evaluation appears to still be happening nearly 40 years later—Grémillon's films have only recently seen DVD releases and a 35mm retrospective begins this week at Museum of the Moving Image in Queens—this article and its follow-up gives us an important view of a French perspective on Grémillon's work by a very perceptive critic doing the initial heavy-lifting in bringing the proper attention to the filmmaker's work.

Today's Mppa ratings bulletin has at least one interesting title, that being William Monahan's Mojave, which stars Oscar Isaac and Garrett Hedlund and is still not only without a release date, but without a distributor. At least now it has an R-rating, but not that's not likely going to help sell it. Next is Guy Ritchie's The Man From U.N.C.L.E. starring Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer, which won't be hitting theaters until August 14, 2015, but at least we can now confirm it has PG-13 rating. Ron Howard's In The Heart of the Sea, starring Chris Hemsworth, will be hitting theaters March 2015 and it too has a PG-13 rating, just as does the upcoming Left Behind feature starring Nicolas Cage, arriving in theaters this October 3. The complete bulletin is listed directly below, including a rating for Cymbeline, which stars Ethan Hawke and Milla Jovovich and recently played the Venice...

If you could run faster than any human being in history, is there anything you would still be too late to stop? That’s the question posed in the latest trailer for The Flash, highlighting the fact the beneath the red leather and lightning, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) is one truly troubled soul. His CW sibling may be the one defined by loss and torment, but as the newest trailer featuring Central City’s ‘Guardian Angel’ shows, The Flash and Arrow have both had their share of tragedies to overcome.
Ever since the first words broke of a Flash spin-off tied to the world of Arrow, skeptics have wondered if the darker, more stern approach taken for Green Arrow’s TV adaptation (often likened to Batman Begins) could work for Barry Allen’s world of metahuman villains. With Parker out of the office (and off the show), the law firm needed someone to step up and take over. On the latest episode of Drop Dead Diva. Kim made a huge call and hired Owen to be a partner at the firm.
Needless to say, "Surrogates" brought a lot of tension to the workplace.
Up until this point, Jane and Owen still haven't really confronted each other much about what happened at the wedding. What Jane said to Owen at the end was right. More than anything she just wanted him to speak to her. Even if it was yelling, which is something Owen deserved to do, the silence was what was weighing on Jane the most.
The conversation that followed was heartbreaking, but truthful and necessary. If Owen won't be able to move past what took place between Jane and Grayson, it's time for them to move...

Amid the deluge of stories about the post-election meltdown of the right, last night we saw an epically demented manifestation of conservative America's mental breakdown. In an eleven-minute video, the fruitbat right-wing radio personality Glenn Beck donned a tweed jacket, then switched to a painter's smock and a red beret that made him look like a geezer Guardian Angel. He carried a pipe, and spoke in an accent that bounced back and forth between French, English, and his own American. And then Glenn Beck made a piece of art.Inspired by the news story of Michael D'Antuono's long-hidden painting of a crucified Barack Obama finally emerging on the walls of a Boston community college art gallery, Beck set out to make a point about censorship and art and filth and liberals by using his own waste and trace amounts of satire. The segment started with a series of riffs: railing...

Oliver spends a lot of time taking down the bad guys on The List while trying to protect the ones he loves, doesn't it?
On "An Innocent Man," though, he took his job as the Starling City vigilante one step further when he went out of his way to exonerate, Peter Declan, an innocent man on death row.
Of course there was the convenience that Declan was framed by one of the guys on Oliver's list, but he still got the job done; largely thanks to Laurel.
This wasn't the first time that Oliver has teamed up with Laurel on the case, but usually it's indirectly, with both of them set on taking down the same person. Here, Oliver went directly to Laurel for help. He realized Declan must've been set up by Jason Brodeur and he needed a lawyer to help him get the case stalled. So why does...

The first Darksiders was a surprise hit for developer Vigil Games and publisher Thq. The concept--let's remake Zelda as a mature title--might not necessarily seem like the easiest pitch in a marketplace already crowded with remakes, demakes, reboots, and sequels, but Vigil's designers were very clever in the ways they stitched together so many points of reference beyond Zelda into an action adventure game that was thrilling in its own right.
Two and a half years later, Vigil is back with another Rider out to undo the apocalypse, Death, the very motivated brother of Darksiders protagonist War. And with a new protagonist, the sequel also gets some modifications to its gameplay with a greater emphasis on loot, a deep combo-based combat system, and some technical issues that mar what's otherwise one of this year's most exhilarating action games.

Perhaps best known internationally for his part in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds, the German writer-director-actor Til Schweiger returns behind the camera next month with Schutzengel (roughly translated: Guardian Angel).
The first poster and a handful of new images, along with hi-res versions of a few that have already surfaced, have now made their way online.
“A troubled former soldier works to protect an orphan who witnessed a murder from the assassins out to get her.”
Schweiger stars in the lead as the troubled former soldier, once more alongside his daughter Luna Schweiger (Keinohrhasen, or Rabbit Without Ears), and Moritz Bleibtreu (Run Lola Run).
Schweiger is directing from a script he co-wrote with newcomer Paul Maurice and Stephen Butchard (Vincent).
Schutzengel will be released by the German arm of Warner Bros. on 27th September, and as yet, there’s no word on if/when it will arrive in the UK or Us.

On my way out from my interview with Sophie Dulac I picked up the magazine Signe Barriere and found this important quiz by Ariane Massenet in Signe Barriere, Spring 2012. Oh la la, so French!
Les ateliers du court metrage offer you more below.
This is for all you French film lovers!
1. In the kitchen, are you
A. Cesar salad made in 2 minutes, including bacon
B. Palm oil
C. Starter(s), main course(s), cheese dessert(s), petit fours, the visitor’s book and the bill
2. A film
A. Cesar and Cleopatra starring Vivien Leigh
B. Uncle Boonmee, Who Can Recall His Past Lives (and the film?)

A. The compressed Cesar trophy
B. Obviously the film that won the Palme d’or
C. Abstract
4. You favorite hobby
A. Exhibitions in the city
B. Flippers, masks and snorkels
C. Slot machines at Caesars Palace
5. What is your astral sign?
A. Sagittarius
B. Aries
C. Whelk
6. For a fancy dress party, you dress up as
A. Cesar
B. A prophet
C. Donald Duck
7. An award winning actress’s speech is

8. The place to be

A. Anywhere near Paris
B. Anywhere in the south
C. Anything!
Majority of A answers: You are more of a Cesar, more of a prophet than Uncle Boonmee. In fact you do not like Thailand for its films, but for its beaches and cuisine. Anyway, subtitles annoy you because, you must admit, you have never been able to do two things at once, and even if you did not know who Tabar Rahim was to begin with, your ignorance has been repaired thaks to Jacques Audiard. So, Gentlemen, without letting the prophet notion go to your head, there’s only one thing left to do: after a concert, head for the red carpet with Melanie Thierry, Emmanuelle Devos or Mademoisellle Chambon on your arm, you can pretend to be a good-looker! What? You are a woman? No problem. For you, Ladies, at the end of the day, you will be dressed in Coco Chanel when you arrive at the ceremony, escorted by Niels Arestrup. Plans for the end of the evening? Ok, after the Cesar awards, what could be nicer or simpler than enjoying one for the road at Fouquets? (Please note the author’s huge effort to quote as many names from the 2010 Cesar Awards, Applause)
Majority of B answers: You are more of a Palme d’or, Lung Boonmee raluek Chat (Bless you! Translated Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives) directed by Apichatpong Weerasethakul (if you manage to pronounce his name correctly first go, you’ll win a free cocktail at the bar). Like Mathieu Amalric, who is away on tour, what matters for you are these actors and gods who deserve Grand Prizes, in Cannes, you can pretend to be Juliette Binoche, female replica of your husband who thinks he is (depending on the day) the Biutiful Javier Bardem, or Elio Germano, the hero of your Nostra Vita…But never mind, for you la nostra vita puts the leap years into rhyming poetry; he’s the man who asks who told you from the top of the stairs (This time it was far more complicated trying to discreetly slip in a Cannes Film Festival 2010 winner!) If you have seen all these films, another free cocktail awaits you at the bar.
Majority of C answers: You may be completely exhausted; you still haven’t got a clue! No Palmes or Cesars for you! So not interested in Deauville, Dinard, La Baule or La Rochelle? Toronto, Venice Film Festival, Golden Globbes or Marrakech? Still nothing? And what about Les Victoires de la Musique (an annual French awards ceremony that recognizes the best singers of the year), Nrj radio station awards, Mirande Country Music Festival or Enghien Jazz Festival? Still fail to ring a bell? Don’t despair, try musical chairs. There are 2 of you and 1 chair. When the music stops, you must rush to sit on the chair first. If you are the one still standing, you’re lost. If this is the case, you’re having a bad time and I’m afraid your lucky number is 0 and your favorite color black. My advice: Stay in your hotel room and order room-service.

He is actually better than most rappers out today. The film follows a shy, talented musician who pens romantic hip-hop verses only to stand idly by as they're delivered to the girl of his dreams by a proxy, his best friend. The film was directed by Paul Hoen and written by Eric Daniel and Don D. Scott.
