‘DinoGator’ Review
Image
Stars: Michael Madsen, Bryan Clark, Paul Logan, Aaron Groben, Grace West, Lauren Parkinson, Savannah Goldstein, Jesse Bernstein, G.J. Echterkamp | Written by Blake Miller | Directed by Jim Wynorski

DinoGator is one of those movies I never thought I’d actually get to see, at least not this side of a bootleg copy. Originally shot in 2016 under the more accurate title CobraGator, it came close to release in 2018, only to disappear into the murky depths of the swamp of lost films. Not even the involvement of the legendary Roger Corman, who served as executive producer, could convince distributors to lure it out, until now. So, was it worth the wait? Well, that really depends on how much you enjoy the taste of cheese.

The story kicks off with a trio of doomed characters venturing into a cave. One of them plays a recorder like a snake charmer’s flute. But instead of charming any creatures,...

This Popular '90s Sitcom Has A Hidden Easter Egg Reference To Jurassic Park
Image
The Jurassic Park franchise is one of the most iconic franchises in the world, so its no surprise that the popular 90s sitcom Seinfeld managed to include a cheeky dinosaur reference in the show. It wouldnt be the first time an unrelated movie or TV show referenced an aspect of the dinosaur series, especially since Jurassic Park has such a long-running timeline and expansive lore.

Seinfeld might be a television show about people doing nothing, but Seinfeld was very up-to-date with its pop culture references. In one episode, Jerrys artist ex-girlfriend plagiarizes a monologue from the Neil Simon movie, Chapter 2, in her apology letter to him. Another episode parodied the magic bullet theory from the 1991 film JFK with Jerrys magic loogie theory. However, Seinfeld managed to hide a Jurassic Park Easter egg, and its really exciting.

Now, Universal has issued a statement to ComicBook.com firmly negating the rumor.

"Any reports indicating that Jurassic World: Dominion has halted production are categorically untrue. The production is headed into its fifth day of shooting tomorrow, and we're thrilled to be back in front of the camera on this incredible project."

The filming of Jurassic Wolrd: Dominion is being studied with bated breath by studios the world over. ‘Dinosaur Island’ & ‘Totally Liquid’ Expansion Board Game Review
If you’ve been following board games for the past couple of years, you will almost certainly heard of Dinosaur Island, which debuted last year in a blockbusting Kickstarter. Finally, after a few relatively modest print runs, the game is back in print and available to buy, and along with it is a big box expansion called Totally Liquid. Today, we’ll be looking at both the base game and the expansion in a back to back review.

For those who haven’t heard of Dinosaur Island, it can broadly be summarised as the board game interpretation of Jurassic Park, albeit with a highly individual art style that uses neon colours like hot pink and bright green to accentuate its features. The game itself is built around a worker placement mechanism and split across several phases, making Dinosaur Island a relatively complex game that will appeal mostly to experienced gamers.

Party Favors: Restoring Sanity
Burbank - Traci Lords was the biggest name in showbiz in 1986, but for all the wrong reasons. She had become a major star in the adult industry. Her run started as Penthouse Pet of the month for the issue that exposed Vanessa Williams in September of 1984. Dozens of video titles appeared as she became the it girl noted for her youthful looks.

There was a reason for her looking so young: she’d used fake IDs to appear 20. She was under 18 in dozens of her adult films. Only one was made after she turned 18. The FBI and other police agencies poured over the valley investigating everyone connected to the industry. In the midst of this ugliness, Traci Lords still dreamed of being an actress. Luckily she found entry into the profession through the gates of Roger Corman’s studio.

She was signed to remake Not of This Earth with Jim Wynorski directing.
