Summaries

  • A group of troubled teenagers are led by social workers on a California wilderness retreat, not knowing that the woods they are camping in have become infested by mutated, blood-sucking ticks.
  • Problem teens in Los Angeles join an inner-city wilderness project in and attempt to get back in touch with life's priorities, led by do-gooders Holly and Charles. When they get to the campsite, they begin having problems adjusting to the wild life, particularly local marijuana growers using herbal steroids to accelerate plant growth, and the mutated ticks that the leaky steroid system has created.—Ed Sutton <esutton@mindspring.com>
  • Traumatized by a childhood experience in the woods, Tyler hopes to overcome his anxiety by attending a mountain wilderness retreat for troubled teens. Unfortunately, the toxic sludge produced by a Rube Goldberg marijuana processing plant has mutated the area's wood ticks into rat sized, slimy killers.—Molly Rose Steed
  • In Los Angeles, six problematic teenagers are sent to the Wilderness Project, led by the couple Holly Lambert and her boyfriend Charles Danson. They take the van of the project and Charles drives them to spend a few days in the woods. They stumble upon the drug dealers Sir and his hick minion Jerry that advise that they are in a dangerous area. When the dog Brutus of Darrel 'Panic' Lumley mysteriously dies, Charles, his daughter Melissa Danson that is also participating in the project and Tyler Burns take Brutus to the veterinary Dr. Kates. Soon they learn that the dog has been attacked by a giant mutant tick transformed by the pesticide used by illegal planters of marijuana, and they return to rescue the rest of the group. But something unexpected happens to all of them.—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
