Anirudh Pisharody Addresses 9-1-1 The Possibility Of Ravi Officially Joining 118: "I'm Hoping It Happens"
Image
9-1-1 star Anirudh Pisharody opens up about the chances of Ravi joining the 118 on a more permanent basis. Pisharody has recurred as Ravi Panikkar since season 4, first appearing in the episode "Jinx." But he's been a more regular fixture on the first-responder procedural during season 8, filling the void created when Eddie Diaz (Ryan Guzman) moved to Texas. It's led to speculation that Ravi could be joining the 118 more permanently when the new season of 9-1-1rolls around.

In an interview with Screen Rant's Rachel Foertsch, Pisharody addressed the possibility of Ravi sticking around for season 9. The actor said that he loved the show, expressing enthusiasm about the possibility. In the quote below, Pisharody jokes about petitioning showrunner and co-creator Tim Minear to have Ravi board the show. Read the actor's quote below:

That's a good question. I should ask you that. I think it's just the nature of a show like this.

Dire Wolves Are No Longer Extinct After 12000 Years, and That Makes Me Sad for How Badly ‘Game of Thrones’ Treated Ghost
Image
Did you know that scientists have found a way to de-extinct dire wolves? Yes, they are brought back to life by Colossal Biosciences, a US-based biotechnology company that also plans to revive the woolly mammoth very, very soon.

That being said, it made me remember the dire wolves who were taken for granted in Game of Thrones, especially Ghost. Not only were they treated less significantly in the show, but the writers also made Jon Snow abandon his own pet—the very symbol of House Stark—all for his love for Daenerys Targaryen.

Kit Harington and Ghost in Game of Thrones / Credits: HBO Dire wolves have been brought back to existence—after Jon Snow snubbed Ghost in Game of Thrones

Colossal Biosciences chief scientist Beth Shapiro said via ABC News that they are very confident the experiment will work after they extracted dire wolf DNA from two existing fossils and...

9-1-1 Is Finally Solving Its Eddie Problem — But What’s Next?
Image
9-1-1 fans, rejoice! After 13 agonizing episodes, the show finally appears to be wrapping up a storyline that it never should have started in the first place.

I’ll preface this by saying that I didn’t necessarily object to Eddie cheating on Marisol with a look-alike of his dead ex-wife. Not only was it the kind of big, ridiculous swing we’ve all come to expect from shows with Ryan Murphy’s name attached, but I also had no investment in Eddie’s relationship with Marisol. Heck, I’m still trying to forget the time he got weirded out...

Game Of Thrones: Jon Snow's Family Tree Explained
Image
We may receive a commission on purchases made from links.

This post contains spoilers for HBO's "Game of Thrones" and the "A Song of Ice and Fire" book series.

We're told over and over again throughout "Game of Thrones" that Jon Snow's whole deal is "being a bastard." Played by Kit Harington, Jon shows up in the pilot as the apparent bastard son of the honorable Ned Stark (Sean Bean), the patriarch of House Stark in the northern reaches of Westeros, and some random tavern wench. But when you learn more about Ned and his nature, the idea that Jon could possibly be the result of an affair seems sort of ludicrous. Despite that, Jon is constantly met with hostility from Ned's wife Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley), who thinks Jon is a reminder of Ned's greatest misstep as a husband, and he's not treated with as much kindness and respect...

10 House of the Dragon Fan Theories That Make Sense
Image
This article contains spoilers for House of the Dragon Season 3 and beyond.

House of the Dragon is the newest HBO series based on George R.R. Martin's prequel Fire & Blood, yet another book installment in the growing A Song of Ice and Fire franchise. Although the author's long-awaited sixth and seventh novels are still not here, fans can gorge themselves on epic televised adaptations like this one. Set 200 years before Game of Thrones, the series follows the beginning of the end for the Targaryen dynasty as their house is divided by a war of succession.

As is the case with any popular TV show, fans love to speculate and make their theories about what they think will happen next. Some theories hold more weight than others, and as House of the Dragon progresses, others seem increasingly likely. As such, many fan theories actually make sense, especially with Season 2 finished. There...

The Strongest Female Characters In Game Of Thrones
Image
Strength can be viewed in many different ways, from the conventional might showcased in battle to the strength that comes with power. In a world where men squabble over the Iron Throne and command of Westeros, Game of Thrones introduces a number of strong-willed women who exhibit tremendous strength. Some even surpass their male counterparts, whether in terms of political navigation, determination, or combat capabilities.

While there are strong male Game of Thrones characters from Jon Snow and the Hound to Robert Baratheon, there are plenty of women throughout the series that could give these men a run for their money — and often do, making them fan favorites.

Updated on February 23, by Chen Drachman: The Game of Thrones world is so large and rich, it's always good to take a look back with the perspective of a few years down the line (and a whole new show) and revisit some of the beloved characters,...

‘Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End’ Has an Unbelievable Disconnect Between the Dub and the Sub Because Fans Find Frieren’s Voice “Childish”
Image
The story of Frieren and the acceptance of her immortality is a tale you cannot miss. Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End never fails to deliver an emotional message hidden beneath the laid-back style of the storytelling. It’s a pure fantasy anime that just does it better than most in recent times.

So it’s a surprise that despite being such a success, fans have something to complain about. The titular protagonist of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is an elf who, despite her youthful appearance, is actually over a thousand years old. Still, her physical appearance isn’t akin to a child but a young woman.

Her age is reflected in her personality and voice, but not all fans are convinced of this. In Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, her English, and Japanese voice actresses have very different voices. They argue her Japanese voice actress,...

MCU Rumor Roundup: The Fantastic Four Trailer Description, Red Hulk's Screentime, Sharon Carter's Future, More
Image
The first trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps lands a few hours from now but a description of the long-awaited teaser is already doing the rounds online (and it sounds like we're in for a treat).

According to scooper Daniel Richtman, the sneak peek is only 1:43 and opens in the 4:3 aspect ratio before expanding to look more cinematic. Shots of New York City make it clear this is a different reality and the powers of Marvel's First Family are showcased individually, with Johnny Storm even going into "his full 'Flame On' form."

And, while we don't see Franklin Richard or the Silver Surfer, Galactus is put front and centre.

Meanwhile, we have more from The Cosmic Circus, including an intriguing update on plans for Pym Particles in the MCU. The site explains, "There will be others seeking to abuse the potential of those Pym Particles, since they are now available publicly,...

“It was a comedy between heroes and villains”: ‘Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End’ Almost Became a Disaster Anime Because of the Author’s Original Ideas
Image
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is a magical journey, not just in the literal sense, but also in a metaphorical manner as well. The anime might seem simple at first, with adorable and appealing visuals, but it is so much more.

It has the essence of many concepts that are larger than life, like mortality, regret, and even transcendence and reformation. All of this, when combined with a seemingly ignorant but massively powerful Elven mage, makes it all that more magnetic.

Himmel and Frieren | Credits: Studio Madhouse

The series has captivated the audience with its emotional depth and storytelling of many profound concepts. However, the series wasn’t always planned to be the masterpiece it is. The story had almost taken a drastically different direction to become a comedy. Let us delve into the reason that we have the Frieren of today.

“I was a walking shell”: A Catelyn Stark Scene in Game of Thrones May Have Given Michelle Fairley Lifelong Trauma
Image
Perhaps the wildest and most traumatizing scene in Game of Thrones was the infamous Red Wedding. The whole world tuned in to the episode with utmost attention, unsuspecting of the horrors they will witness after Robb and Catelyn Stark met gruesome deaths at the hands of the Freys, the Boltons, and the Lannisters.

Michelle Fairley in Game of Thrones / Credits: HBO

Fans were shocked and in denial, but no one was more broken than the actors themselves. Filming the scene was too difficult for the cast, especially after they had played their respective characters for so long.

How the death of Catelyn Stark traumatized Michelle Fairley

Michelle Fairley received critical praise for her performance as Catelyn Stark, the noble and loyal Lady of Winterfell. The actress confessed that she had a difficult time dealing with the aftermath of her character’s demise in Game of Thrones, any more than her preparation for the scene itself.

You’ll Forget Chainsaw Man, Dandadan and Jujutsu Kaisen After Watching this Modern Anime With the Best Female Character
Image
In recent years, modern shounen anime has dazzled audiences with spectacular fights, intriguing worlds, and standout characters. Many anime like Dandadan have revolutionized the Shonene genre and changed the position of the female characters from an augmenting or supporting role.

In Dandadan, Momo is at the center of the narrative even though Okarun takes the limelight sometimes. However, there is one anime that is the gold standard when it comes to how to craft an individual female lead who does not need to be around any other characters to shine brightly.

Enter Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, this is an anime that not only changes the set standards in Shonen but completely flips them over. With Frieren being the entire point of the narrative, the show showcases female character development that is rarely seen in the world of Shonen.

‘2000 Meters to Andriivka’ Review: A Shattering Expedition to the Frontline of the War in Ukraine
Image
As Russia’s unconscionable war on Ukraine wears on, the local and global response to it has shifted from shock to fury to numbed despair — and the already substantial library of documentaries made in response to it has likewise varied in focus and tenor. Two years ago, Ukrainian journalist and filmmaker Mstyslav Chernov premiered “20 Days in Mariupol,” a bruisingly effective, ultimately Oscar-winning immersion into civilian panic and terror in the first weeks of the Russian invasion in 2022: a tough, in-the-moment watch, colored by raw trauma, but also a streak of fighting fury. Now, Chernov follows up that unrepeatable work with “2000 Meters to Andriivka” — an ostensible companion piece, as indicated by its similar numerical title, and another full-tilt, you-are-there plunge into the living hell of war, this time from the perspective of Ukrainian soldiers on the frontline.

Like its predecessor, this is an angry, viscerally illustrative film — but...

“It’s my first time sharing R18 content”: ‘Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End’s Animator Contributed to a Stark x Fern H*ntai
Image
The anime industry is no stranger to unexpected crossovers and creative reinterpretations. But among them, the adult-themed animations; often crafted by independent artists, have grown into a thriving niche, sparking both curiosity and controversy. While such parodies are commonplace, a recent development involving Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End has made the anime community speechless. Gone are the days when R18 parodies revolved around low-budget!

MapleStar, a prominent creator of R18 anime, recently unveiled an ambitious parody titled Fern and Stark Need to Warm Up. While the animation’s high quality and widespread attention are noteworthy, what truly set it apart is the involvement of Yuuta Suzuhana; a professional animator who worked on the original Frieren anime.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Ditched Himmel and Frieren’s Past for One of the Best Aspects of the Anime
Image
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is on the up and up with its soaring popularity. It is a trailblazer in most aspects, especially through its articulately penned characters. Madhouse brings these elements to the fore through their finesse.

This is especially true for the subtle and slow-burn romance in Kanehito Yamada’s series. While most fans fawn over the elf mage and Himmel’s past, they often overlook a key aspect of the series.

Other than adventure, Yamada beautifully portrayed relationships in the most wholesome manner. This ties well with the side characters in the series. From rifts to rapture, the series projects different hues of love.

But that is not all considering its decentering of the romance between Himmel and the Elf Mage. The series reigns supreme in capturing the profundities of love and loss in general.

The Avengers Have Some Great Bases, And Here's 8 We Need
Image
The Avengers have a long history of bases that they have used, going back as far as the 1960s when the team had its comic debut. From temporary bases to long-term headquarters, only a few of the Avengers' centers of operations have been seen. These have included Avengers Tower, the Avengers Compound, and the Sanctum Sanctorum. While not used as a base for the team in the MCU, the New York City home of Stephen Strange has seen its share of varied uses within Marvel Comics.

Contrarily, the comics have had an additional eight headquarters for the team to live in and work out of throughout the past several decades. These have included staples like the Baxter Building, which will likely be seen when the Fantastic Four finally makes its long-awaited MCU debut. However, the Avengers' other bases are just as notable, and a select few would be exceptional choices to see on-screen,...

Game Of Thrones Left Out One Of The Most Important Parts Of House Stark's Story, And It Hurt 6 Characters
Image
Game of Thrones left out one of the House Stark's most important characteristics in A Song of Ice & Fire. When adapting a book series for a TV show, the writers must prioritize what to keep and discard. Game of Thrones notoriously left out several A Song of Ice & Fire characters, while House of the Dragon eliminated Maelor—a decision George R. R. Martin critiqued. The writers make some choices for practical reasons, such as cutting Aegon Targaryen in Game of Thrones. Other decisions improve the story, such as giving Helaena Targaryen prophetic dreams in House of the Dragon.

For all the great changes the Song of Ice & Fire adaptations have made, there are just as many that resulted in the narrative suffering. Game of Thrones left out several major things about Daenerys Targaryen, including her prophetic dreams. Game of Thrones also eliminated the critical importance of Lyanna Stark, Rhaegar Targaryen,...

After defeating the Roxxon forces, Tony Stark agrees to recognize the union’s demands. However, he is later ambushed, and his armor malfunctions, leading to a crash that leaves him injured and hospitalized.

Upon recovering, Tony faces a corporate battle when A.I.M. and Roxxon plan to acquire Stark Unlimited and keep it as a weapons manufacturer. Tony discovers that his armor’s malfunction was caused by magic, orchestrated by Justine Hammer, who has created her own Iron Monger armor.

She reveals that she has allied with one of Tony’s old Avengers teammates and plans to use Stark’s technology for global domination. Tony vows...

A Captain America: Brave New World Theory Teases Iron Man's Biggest Failure
Image
Quick Links Brave New World May Have Proven What Happened to Stark's Tech Tony Stark Has Broken His Promise Many Times Brave New World is the Perfect Setup For Armor Wars

At its core, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has always been about rectifying past sins. For Captain America, Hulk, and Thor, it was about the sins of past creators or fathers, while Tony Stark was about right a legacy of sin that went as far back as World War II. While Howard Stark's weapons development was necessary to help in the war effort, Stark reaped the benefits and, in his words, grew comfortable with zero accountability for the lives lost or the weapons lost in conflict. Even the Avengers was about rectifying mistakes already made and avenging the people and things lost in the scuffle. This idea is also what made Iron Man such a powerful foundation for the ambitious franchise.

Sophie Turner Is In Talks To Lead Amazon And Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Tomb Raider Series
Image
She's fended off White Walkers, The Night King, and Ramsay Bolton as Sansa Stark in Game Of Thrones. She's absorbed a cosmic entity, become the Dark Phoenix, and nearly-destroyed-but-then-actually-saved the universe as Jean Grey in X-Men: Dark Phoenix. And now it looks like Sophie Turner may just be about to add another iconic heroine to her acting resumé. As reported by THR, the in-demand star is in advanced talks to take on the role of British archaeologist and video game legend Lara Croft in Amazon and Crystal Dynamics' currently in development Tomb Raider series adaptation.

According to THR's sources, screen tests for Amazon's Croft took place in October, with Turner having appeared alongside Mackenzie Davis (Terminator: Dark Fate), Emma Mackey (Sex Education), and Lucy Boynton (Sing Street) on the shortlist to play the dual-wielding explorer. Masterminded by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who's set to serve as both writer and executive producer on the upcoming series,...

Arya Stark is a character etched deep into the memory of every Game of Thrones fan as a girl who turned out to be the biggest underdog of the show as she transformed from being the youngest member of the Stark family to a ruthless assassin who took on the most significant enemy all by herself and came up trumps.

The character was brought to life by talented actor Maisie Williams, who has since ventured into many shows, such as The New Look and Pistol. Game of Thrones universe has since moved on to making shows like ’House of The Dragon’, which has already generated a buzz with its first two seasons, and are now looking forward to more shows and even a film.

From the moment Game of Thrones ended in 2019, fans have been eagerly waiting for HBO to greenlight an official spinoff for its Emmy-winning drama.

Why Iron Man 4 Was Never Made, The Surprising Reason Marvel Decided Against It!
Image
Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, standing in his iconic suit with a determined look, highlighting the character’s journey (Photo Credit – Facebook)

Iron Man changed the game, putting the MCU on the map and transforming Robert Downey Jr. into Hollywood’s most iconic (and highest-paid) hero. So, it begs the question: Why did Iron Man 4 never fly into theaters? Spoiler alert—it’s not because Tony Stark’s arc was neatly tied up. This decision has multiple layers, and here’s the twisty backstory behind it.

Right after Iron Man 3 blasted into theaters in 2013, talks of a fourth film were happening. Marvel’s golden goose was hotter than ever, and the fans wanted more. But Marvel Studios had a vision: a more giant sandbox with an entire team of heroes, and they needed Tony to hold the squad together—not hog the spotlight solo. So, just as Marvel’s big boss,...

Sophie Turner talks divorce fallout, eating disorders, and her Game of Thrones castmates

Most people came to know Sophie Turner through her role as Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones, where she was a main player for all eight seasons. “I went from 13 to 23 on that show – it was my whole childhood," she told Bazaar for a recent interview. "We’re all still on a massive group chat, and we try and meet each other whenever we’re in the same country... they’re family.”

Turner was only 15 years old when Game of Thrones came out and even younger when she was cast. According to her, pretty much everyone in her school auditioned, but she got the part. “I don’t know how it happened, because my audition tape was absolutely horrific. But, somehow, they ended up casting me.”

That would obviously be very exciting for a young actor just starting their career, but it also meant that Turner grew up in the public eye,...

I Predicted Marvel's Biggest Character Death Of 2024 (And I'm Thrilled They Didn't Pull This Punch)
Image
Warning! Major spoilers for Ultimates #6!

A few weeks ago, I predicted that Marvel was going to kill off the Ultimate version of Iron Man, as a major turning point for its relaunched Ultimate Marvel line of titles and I was right. I say this not to brag, though I certainly am pleased about it, but because I'm thrilled they followed through on this storyline.

The Ultimates #6 written by Deniz Camp, with art by Juan Frigeri finally brings its incarnation of the Avengers together fully for the first time to battle the Hulk, leading to the team's first casualty: their leader, Tony Stark, known in this continuity as Iron Lad.

It wasn't a "gut feeling" that made me think this would happen, or a lucky guess; rather, there was no better choice for a character death to take The Ultimates in an unexpected new direction, and I'm glad Marvel allowed the...

Iron Man Permanently Loses His Most Powerful Armor (That Made Him Thor's Equal)
Image
Warning: Spoilers for Iron Man #1 Tony Stark has no shortage of incredibly powerful Iron Man suits of armor, though one of them easily stands above the rest: mysterium. Iron Mans mysterium armor effectively makes him Thors equal, as it is utterly unbreakable, strong enough to bend adamantium like a tin can, makes him invisible to Spider-Mans spider-sense, and makes Iron Man impervious to all magic. Unfortunately, he lost it.

In Iron Man #1 by Spencer Ackerman and Julius Ohta, Tony Stark is reclaiming Stark Unlimited after it was stolen from in the previous story arc by the villain, Feilong. Feilong brought Stark Unlimited back into weapons manufacturing, which included the Stark Sentinels contracted by Orchis during the X-Mens Fall of X era. Now that Feilong and Orchis have been defeated, Stark is free to reclaim his company. Unfortunately, there are more than a few hurdles.

What if Jon Snow became the villain of Game of Thrones? Wild, right? Fan theories hint that Bran Stark has been pulling the strings and forcing Jon out of Westeros. Twist or not, Jon’s sequel still needs a clear villain. That’s HBO’s plot pickle! It’s headed into uncharted territory that even Martin’s books haven’t mapped out yet. What lies beyond the Wall? Nobody knows, which has fans buzzing with theories.

Bran Stark: The Hidden Puppet Master?

The Bran-as-the-villain theory came from the investigators at Comic Book Resources, who believe he could be the next big bad in Jon Snow’s story. According to this theory, Bran Stark used his supernatural foresight to manipulate the events of Game of Thrones, nudging things into place so Jon would be exiled from Westeros.

Image
There's been a sudden resurgence of interest in Tomb Raider, the long-running video game series about international treasure hunter Lara Croft, who's kind of like a British Indianan Jones. Netflix recently premiered an animated series called Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft. According to Deadline, Sophie Turner and Lucy Boynton are testing for the role. Turner is best known for playing Sansa Stark on HBO's fantasy megahit Game of Thrones. She's done a fair amount of TV and film afterwards, most recently playing real-life diamond thief Joan Hannington in the crime drama Joan. Image
Did Marvel play with Rober Downey Jr’s career? (Photo Credit – Facebook)

Hollywood’s household name, Robert Downey Jr.’s journey to becoming Iron Man is legendary. Not only was Iron Man the beginning of Downey’s successful journey, but it was also the beginning of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The first Iron Man film started a massive six-phase run introducing some of Marvel’s greatest superheroes, eventually leading to their epic union as the Avengers. However, Downey’s journey as part of Marvel wasn’t always smooth, as the sequel to the first Iron Man derailed Marvel’s momentum. The tension escalated when a high-profile actor was demanded to play the antagonist.

Iron Man 2 lived up to its predecessor, thanks to Downey’s magnetic portrayal of Tony Stark and Mickey Rourke’s commanding performance as the menacing Ivan Vanko, also known as Whiplash. While Rourke’s intense portrayal perfectly complemented Downey’s Stark,...

Game Of Thrones Star Sophie Turner Has One Condition To Return As Sansa Stark
Image
"Game of Thrones" came to an end in May of 2019 — enraging fans with its lackluster final season — but people are still asking its stars, years later, if they'd consider returning to Westeros somehow. The latest "Game of Thrones" veteran to answer this question? Sophie Turner — who made her industry debut playing Sansa Stark, a shrewd strategist and eldest daughter of the powerful Northern family House Stark.

While speaking to Variety about her newest project "Joan," interviewer K.J. Yossman brought up the show that made Turner famous, asking, "Could we ever see the return of Sansa Stark?" Turner basically said no, but also admitted she's curious about how the character would be faring today.

"Maybe," Turner said. "I mean, it would have to be the exact same cast and the exact same crew otherwise I wouldn't go back and that would just be season 9, and I don't think we're going to do a season 9, but,...

Sophie Turner's Biggest Game Of Thrones Season 9 Questions Prove Why It Wouldn't Work
Image
Sansa Stark star Sophie Turner revealed her conditions for returning to the world of Westeros, but her biggest Game of Thrones season 9 questions show why another outing wouldn't work. Game of Thrones came to a close in 2019, finally revealing who wound up on the Iron Throne and it wasn't who most viewers expected. Bran Stark becoming the new ruler of the Seven Kingdoms wasn't the only reason Game of Thrones' final season was so divisive, and viewers have since discussed the possibility of bringing the show back for another go-round.

HBO's canceled Jon Snow spinoff would have shed light on what happened after the events of Game of Thrones, but according to Kit Harington, it was axed when the creators realized there wasn't much of a story to tell. When asked if she would ever return to HBO's Game of Thrones universe, Turner gave a hesitant "maybe," saying the same...

Actor Cooper Koch, who portrayed real-life convicted killer Erik Menéndez in Netflix’s Monsters: The Erik and Lyle Menéndez Story reportedly met him when he went to their correctional facility. The actor reportedly joined Kim Kardashian for a prison reform project and had conversations with his real-life counterpart.

The Netflix series came under fire for its sensational portrayal of the Menéndez Brothers and their alleged crimes. The Brothers themselves put out a statement accusing creator Ryan Murphy of an inauthentic portrayal of the incidents and disregarding their defense of the crime being a response to years of abuse.

Who Is Aegon The Conqueror? Game Of Thrones First Targaryen King Explained
Game of Thrones (2011)
Aegon the Conqueror is one of the most famous names in Game of Thrones history, so there's a lot to know about the first Targaryen king. By the time of Game of Thrones season 1, Daenerys and her older brother Viserys are believed to be the last survivors of the Targaryen dynasty, a noble family that had been usurped from the Iron Throne of Westeros after a civil war called Robert's Rebellion. The history of House Targaryen is essentially the history of Westeros in the era leading up to Game of Thrones, and there's a ton of fascinating lore to break down.

Aegon II from House of the Dragon and Jon Snow (officially named Aegon Targaryen) from Game of Thrones are both named after Aegon the Conqueror, as are many other characters in Targaryen lore.

Much of what's known about Aegon the Conqueror, or Aegon I Targaryen comes from George R.R. Martin...

The Thunderbolts Trailer Has A Sentry Easter Egg Only Hardcore Marvel Fans Noticed
Image
After years of rumors, hints and teases (both in the press and within the body of Marvel movies and television themselves), the first look at the Thunderbolts has finally dropped today thanks to the release of the "Thunderbolts*" trailer. Even though the footage seems to promise a fairly predictable gritty, action-oriented antihero team up movie, all is not quite what it seems. First and foremost, we have yet to find out just what the heck is up with the asterisk being attached to the title. Is it to indicate that the team name will be changed at the close of the movie, and reveal that they're going under another recognizable name from the comic books? Or is it merely there to indicate these characters' expendability?

Or maybe it's a secret third thing, given the Easter eggs that are hidden in plain sight throughout the trailer. Around about the preview's midpoint,...

Quick Links The Final Swing Suit is Spider-Man's Best Costume Yet The Brilliance of Spider-Man's Final Swing Suit Goes Beyond Aesthetics Spider-Man's Final Swing Suit Might Not Stick Around

The ending of Spider-Man: No Way Home made some major changes to the status quo for the Marvel Cinematic Universe's version of Peter Parker. To prevent the multiverse from tearing itself apart, he asked Doctor Strange to cast a spell that would make everyone forget him. Though this stopped the alternate-dimension supervillains from hunting him down, it also ripped his entire support system away. He no longer had friends and family to whom he could turn for comfort or advice, and he no longer had connections to Stark Industries or the Avengers to aid in his heroic endeavors. The spell even erased all records of his education, so he needed to study for a General Educational Development test before he could hope to go to college.

“His death was more shocking than that of Ned Stark”: Game of Thrones Fans Absolutely Hated to See the Downfall of the Promising Richard Madden’s Robb Stark After His Romance With Talisa Maegyr

In Game of Thrones, marrying for love is few and far between, as it is seen as counter-intuitive to duty, with one example being Jon Snow and Ygritte’s romance. On the contrary, unlike Snow, who prioritized his duty over love and returned to Castle Black, Richard Madden’s Robb Stark chose his love for Talisa, thus dishonoring the Freys by breaking the marriage pact.

This eventually contributes to his tragic downfall, with his mother Catelyn, wife Talisa, and Stark himself, meeting a brutal end at the Red Wedding, which fans are still not over yet.

MCUs Biggest Current Iron Man Theory Would Mean Thanos Was Right About Tony Stark
Image
Downey Jr. being cast as the McU's Doctor Doom has raised theories about him being a Tony Stark variant in Avengers: Doomsday. This would change how Thanos' line about himself and Stark being "cursed with knowledge" looks. Speculation about Downey Jr.'s performance suggests he could be the Avengers' most terrifying villain yet.

Robert Downey Jr.'s new role as Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday recontextualizes a number of Marvel Cinematic Universe moments from the past. Downey Jr. is the first confirmed Doomsday cast member, and will play an instrumental role in the film, similar to Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. While Marvel has taken its time building up its characters throughout the franchise, it is worth remembering that, other than a few short teases, Thanos barely appeared onscreen in the MCU before Infinity War. Following this, the film spent much time and effort building up the villain to his iconic status.

Why Days Of Our Lives Leo Stark Is The Best Character In Daytime Soaps
Image
Days Of Our Lives Leo Stark, played by the immensely talented Greg Rikaart, first burst onto the Salem scene in March of 2018 when he was hired by Vivian Alamain to seduce Sonny Kiriakis, hopefully resulting in a scandal and forcing Sonny out of his position as CEO at Titan. The scheme ultimately backfired, eventually leading to Leo’s untimely (and unsuccessful) death.

Days Of Our Life Spoilers – Leo Stark Is The Best

Originally the Dool writers had no plans of reprising the role, but the overwhelming response could not be ignored. Fans could not get enough of the dastardly, sinister, yet undeniably charming and witty, Leo Stark.

The character would return for a four-month stint later that winter, appear in both Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem and Days of Our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas, and finally return to Salem for good in 2022 where, much to viewers’ delight, he has remained ever since.

Robert Downey Jr. Is Officially Returning As Marvel's Iron Man, But There's A Twist
Image
Marvel Studios can't help but make things complicated when it comes to Robert Downey Jr.'s return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The latest development will see the beloved actor once again don the armor after having left the MCU behind with 2019's "Avengers: Endgame." But this return isn't quite what most fans were expecting.

Those fans have been on a bit of a roller coaster in the last few years. First, they were heartbroken to see the character that helped establish the MCU and change Hollywood forever, Iron Man, perish at the end of "Endgame." Then, they were even more dismayed to see what happened to that shared universe in the post-Tony Stark age, as Marvel began to pump out a mediocre run of streaming shows and movies. So excessive was this cavalcade of unremarkable MCU "content" that it nearly spelled the end for what had previously been...
