She briefly appeared in ‘Chapter 3’ — offering a graceful interpretation of “The Nutcracker.” Director Len Wiseman, along with screenwriter Shay Hatten, crafted this upcoming action film about beauty, death, and the dance between it all.

It is safe to say that the Culkin brothers had a hand in making our childhood so much more memorable with the Home Alone movies. Over the years, both Macaulay and Kieran Culkin have impressed the world with their performances. Whether it is becoming the publisher and CEO of Bunny Ears or ruling our hearts with incredible work in Succession, both the brothers have had something or the other going for them.

However, the question is, which of the two has seen more success over the last few years? Is it Macaulay Culkin who, just a couple of years ago, received his Hollywood Walk of Fame star, or is it Kieran Culkin who just bagged his very first Oscar? We will let you decide.

When it comes to representation in media, Christmas is almost certainly the most popular holiday of them all. Christmas is at the center of countless films and television specials across nearly every genre, not to mention mediums. From fan-favorites like Peanuts to anime like Sailor Moon, every IP got into the Christmas spirit at one point or another.
There is still a wide gulf between the number of Christmas-themed productions created in American and Japanese studios. This is to say nothing of the stylistic differences between the two, some of which rarely, if ever, overlap. Then again, on those special occasions when they do, what becomes of their pairing stands out as truly unforgettable, and there simply aren't any so memorable as Sanrio's very own stop-motion Nutcracker Fantasy.

Madison Square Garden was sold-out and packed with screaming fans on Friday night, but it wasn’t for a Grammy-winning artist or New York sports team: It was a group of “intrepid heroes” who have taken over the world of Dungeons and Dragons.
Dimension 20, a group of D&d players who specialize in monster slaying and absurd improv on the streaming service Dropout, took Msg by storm for their first major live show, “Gauntlet at the Garden.” Led by their dungeon master Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Dimension 20 crew, made up of Zac Oyama, Emily Axford, Lou Wilson, Brian Murphy, Ally Beardsley and Siobhan Thompson, revisited their popular NYC-inspired Unsleeping City campaign. However, D20 fans were in for a treat as surprise crossover characters from other games popped into the show after being influenced by random dice rolls from the audience. First-time screenwriter Kate Gersten had one actress in mind to play the heroine of “The Last Showgirl”: Pamela Anderson. The problem was, Anderson’s then agent didn’t bother to forward the script about a 50-something Vegas dancer struggling to pivot to her next act.
“He threw it in the trash within the hour and never called me,” Anderson says of her former representative. “This was not an agent. He was just someone who brought me work for money.”
Undeterred, the film’s director, Gia Coppola, tracked down Anderson’s son Brandon through mutual friends, and he promised to pass the screenplay along to his mother, who had largely given up on acting and moved to British Columbia.
“I remember coming out of my garden, getting a message from Brandon and sitting at my computer and reading it. And I thought, ‘This is it,’” Anderson recalls. “This is my...

Ava enlisted Steve’s Black Patch skills to help her track down the identity of the person who had been sending threatening texts via a burner phone. While she remained in the dark, viewers discovered the identity of her mysterious texter in the Thursday, December 26 episode of Days of Our Lives.
The Burner Phone Texting Culprit
Until now, most signs pointed toward Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) until you really broke down what was happening. Ava (Tamara Braun) and Brady (Eric Martsolf) went on a date that was supposed to involve going to The Nutcracker. Unfortunately, Brady’s tickets disappeared, and Ava’s Wi-Fi went out when they attempted to watch a movie on TV.
However, tickets disappearing from Brady’s jacket pocket and a series of simply worded texts seemed too small to be Kristen’s doing. When she decides to sabotage, she goes big or goes home.

In the Friday, December 20 episode of Days of Our Lives, Brady and Ava simply wanted to see The Nutcracker on their first date. But they never made it to the theatre. Instead, the overdressed duo stayed at Ava’s and attempted to salvage something. While they enjoyed spending time together, the date was a bit of a disaster. And it’s likely we can all point fingers at Kristen Dimera for ensuring the date didn’t go well.
Stalker Tendencies
First, we need to remember that Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Ava (Tamara Braun) were going to see The Nutcracker because Kristen went to see it with Rachel (Finley Rose Slater). Even though she knew Brady wanted it to be a special father-daughter outing. So, she only had herself to blame.
When Brady showed up at Ava’s room at The Pub, he couldn’t find the tickets. Ava immediately blamed Kristen.

For the week of December 16-20, Days of Our Lives spoilers focus on corporate battles, long-term grudges, and potentially disastrous dates.
Succession
This coming week — specifically on Tuesday — Xander (Paul Telfer) and Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) finally learn who has the rightful claim to Titan. For once, Xander’s on the right side of history. Meanwhile, Philip is on the totally opposite side. All he has is a forged letter, a desperate PR campaign, his mother, and a prayer. However, thanks to Xander’s schemes, Philip was forced to enlist Belle as his new lawyer. That is encouraging for him.
Should Xander win this case outright, will Philip accept the outcome? Or will he come up with another angle to try to dethrone Xander? What happens if Philip wins? Does he really get Titan outright? Is there a world where Philip and Xander are forced to run the Kiriakis universe together?...

Ben Stiller showing up in a Christmas family dramedy was not on the cards for me this holiday season. Nutcrackers tells the story of 4 boys who have recently lost both their parents in an accident and need to be taken into foster care. However, when it’s nearly Christmas time and there’s no one to take the boys in, their uncle, Michael, has to step in and look after them. Early on in the film, you know that Michael has no interest in looking after the kids. It doesn’t matter if they’re his dead sister’s kids, or the fact that they’re homeschooled boys who wreak havoc wherever they go; just as his sister once told the boys, he’s incapable of love. These are no ordinary boys. They’ve grown up on a farm with animals and been homeschooled because their father didn’t want...

Warning! This post contains spoilers for Nutcrackers.
Ben Stiller's brand-new Christmas comedy, Nutcrackers, is officially streaming on Hulu, and these songs play throughout the movie. Nutcrackers centers on Michael (Ben Stiller), a commercial real estate agent living in Chicago who must leave his professional life behind to go tend to his four orphaned nephews in rural Ohio. In addition to Stiller, Nutcrackers' cast of characters includes Linda Cardellini as social worker Gretchen Rice and real-life brothers Homer, Ulysses, Atlas, and Arlo Janson as the Kicklighter boys.
Surprisingly, despite being one of several new Christmas movies released in 2024, Nutcrackers' soundtrack does not feature traditional holiday songs. Instead, Nutcrackers includes a number of instrumentals from the movie's original score, composed by Aaron M. Olson, and features a host of songs not often associated with Christmas. Here's every song used in Nutcrackers and when it appears in the movie.

One of several new Christmas movies in 2024, Ben Stiller's heartwarming Christmas comedy Nutcrackers is now streaming on Hulu, and its ending is chock-full of touching moments, reveals, and resolutions. Nutcrackers' cast of characters stars Ben Stiller as Michael, a wealthy commercial real estate agent living in Chicago who is called to act as temporary guardian of his four nephews—played by real-life brothers Homer, Ulysses, Atlas, and Arlo Janson—after their parents tragically die in a car accident. In classic Christmas movie fashion, Michael must transition to life in rural Ohio and his nephews' farm.
Over the course of the movie, Michael becomes better acquainted with this way of life, even killing a chicken for them to eat at one point, and he begrudgingly accepts the nickname 'Mike' that he had resisted for the first half of the movie. Even as Uncle Mike,...

Plot: A Chicago executive (Ben Stiller) must look after his late sister’s four rambunctious children while trying to find them a foster home the state won’t separate them.
Review: Believe it or not, it’s been seven whole years since Ben Stiller last headlined a movie. Granted, he hasn’t exactly been idle, with him making a whole new name for himself as a director with the limited series Escape at Dannemora and then his major hit for Apple TV +, Severance (which has a second season on the way). Given this new move behind the camera, outside of cameos, he hasn’t headlined a movie since the one-two punch of Brad’s Status and The Meyerowitz Stories back in 2017. The last Frat Pack-style Stiller movie was Zoolander 2 from the year before (a movie whose failure reportedly deeply shook his confidence).

When it comes to Christmas films and shows, virtually no genre stone has been left unturned. We've had festive comedies (Home Alone), holiday romances (The Holiday), seasonal musicals (Nativity!), yuletide horrors (Terrifier 3), and even holly jolly action movies (Die Hard — shh!). But with Giri/Haji and The Lazarus Project scribe Joe Barton's upcoming Netflix six-parter Black Doves, we're about to get something a little more rare — a Christmas thriller. The snowy spy series stars Keira Knightley, Ben Whishaw, and Sarah Lancashire as a covert agent, an asssassin, and their spymaster (now that's our kind of Three Wise Men) who get caught up in London's criminal underworld, and it looks like another Barton banger. Check out the new trailer below:
Now, clandestine car meetings, assassinated paramours, late-night strangulation, and close-quarters hand-to-hand combat — stylishly, er, executed as they may be — don't immediately scream "Deck the halls!", we'll admit. However, that is not the full picture here,...

Netflix's Meet Me Next Christmas includes an exciting score and soundtrack packed with Pentatonix Christmas music and lesser-known but equally entertaining songs for the season. The rom-com follows a woman named Layla who tries to get a ticket to the sold-out Pentatonix Christmas Eve concert so that she can meet the man of her dreams. The first Netflix Christmas movie of the 2024 season has immediately become a hit with viewers because of the fun premise, superb acting, and head-bopping soundtrack.
Though Meet Me Next Christmas' cast is packed with actors who have singing and rapping backgrounds, the only cast members who sing during the movie are Pentatonix the pop acapella group who play an exaggerated and fictionalized version of themselves. That doesnt stop the film from having A+ songs and a fun lipsyncing and dancing competition. Combining this with...

“The timelessness of stories that affirm our faith, the love and joy of being present with family and all those we love, and the hope that the season transcends us all into our best selves. These values are the heart of Great American Christmas, Christmas as it’s meant to be.”

In what seems almost like a cleansing ritual after wrestling with studio horror franchises, David Gordon Green’s Nutcrackers sees the director return closer to his indie roots, observing characters that sprout organically from their rural or small-town environments. This cute fish-out-of-water comedy about the unexpected rewards of a found family tries to approximate the naturalism, lyricism and raw emotion of Green’s early works George Washington and All the Real Girls, but it’s too predictably sentimental to have a comparable effect.
The idea came from Green meeting the four spirited young sons of an old friend, and Leland Douglas’ screenplay appears to allow latitude for semi-improvisation from those boys, playing versions of themselves. That gives the film a disarming sincerity that dovetails with Ben Stiller’s sensitive, understated performance as an uptight Chicagoan thrust into the inconvenient role of parent. But the abundance of montages and exuberant slo-mo...

David Gordon Green has never shied away from wearing his influences on his sleeve: There’s little question his recent trio of “Halloween” reboots were beholden to the original Michael Myers features (how couldn’t they be?) and his lighter features have always smacked of the classic comedies of his youth. For his latest film — and his first feature after that run of “Halloween” films and his one-shot of “The Exorcist” — the indie darling is again turning to some of the films that he built his taste on, the “Uncle Buck” and “Home Alone” types, the “Six Pack” joints, the kind of stuff we don’t get so much of anymore.
Billed as a “heartfelt comedy,” Green’s latest — “Nutcrackers,” which just opened this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, where it is looking for distribution — is somehow a classic Green offering and another swerve in a career built on them.

After successfully reviving one legendary horror franchise and not quite managing to relaunch another, David Gordon Green needed a “bit of a palate cleanser.”
Since Halloween, his 2018 reboot of the John Carpenter slasher pic, Green has become a bit of a go-to-guy for mid-budget horror masters Blumhouse, delivering a full trilogy of new Halloweens — with Halloween Kills in 2021 and Halloween Ends in 2022 — as well as last year’s The Exorcist: Believer, an unsuccessful attempt to bring back the spinning-head world of demonic possession created by William Friedkin in his 1973 classic.
But after six years of screams and jump scares, “it felt like a time to reset,” Green says. “After doing a run of horror movies, I felt like switching gears.”
What Green did next was Nutcrackers, a family-friendly comedy starring Ben Stiller as Mike, an uptight workaholic who is forced to take over guardianship of his rambunctious, newly orphaned nephews.
