When the Evil Iron Man Debuts in the MCU, He Needs to Bring the 'Evil Avengers' With Him
Image
While Iron Man is perhaps the greatest hero in the MCU (and one of the greatest in Marvel Comics), there is a version of him that’s actually a villain, complete with an entire ‘evil Avengers’ team. In fact, not too long ago, many fans were convinced that this corrupt version of Iron Man was going to appear in the MCU. Given the level of outcry, it’s only a matter of time before the MCU brings this Iron Man into the fold for real, and when it does, it must include his ‘evil Avengers’.

The evil Iron Man in question is known as Superior Iron Man, which is what became of Tony Stark during Marvel Comics’ Axis event. In Avengers & X-Men: Axis, the Red Skull harnesses the power of Onslaught, and the Avengers and X-Men team up to take him down. When it became increasingly clear the heroes were going to lose,...

8 Alternate Endings For Marvel And DC Movies Which Would Have Been Better (Or Worse) Than The Final Cut
Image
When you think of movies with alternate endings, we'd imagine the likes of Blade Runner and I Am Legend immediately come to mind.

While studios do occasionally test contrasting endings, that's rare, and it obviously helps any movie to have a definitive conclusion set in stone when cameras start rolling. For each of the Marvel and DC Comics adaptations listed here, however, things once looked vastly different to what we eventually saw in theaters.

Whether it's studio interference, last-minute reshoots, or scrapped plans for future stories, each of these blockbusters came close to wrapping up on a-now unrecognisable note.

Would they have been better or worse? We'll leave you to decide, but you can check these out by tapping the "Next"/"View List" buttons below.

8. Suicide Squad - Joker vs. Task Force X

Neither filmmaker David Ayer nor many Dceu fans will stop harping on about the "Ayer Cut" of 2016's Suicide Squad.

Why Pearl Mackie's Bill Potts Left Doctor Who
Image
Bill Potts was a relatable and ordinary companion who showcased courage and curiosity as the 12th Doctor's companion in Doctor Who. As the first openly queer companion, Bill's bond with Heather offered a refreshing look on love. Despite her brief run on the show, Bill Potts got a fitting conclusion and left a lasting impact on Doctor Who.

Doctor Who is well-recognized for its vast portfolio of companions, all of which provide something different to the franchise. Whether it's Ruby Sunday's whimsical sense of excitement or Rory Williams' kind and generous heart, all of these characters ensure that The Doctor can expand his adventures even further. The likes of Adric and Clara Oswald, who left a major emotional impact on The Doctor. Plus, with a new companion arriving in Season 2 of the latest reboot, fans are eagerly awaiting to see how their favorite sci-fi show will change once again.

Captain America 4 Answers A Huge 11 Year Old MCU Mystery In Major Red Hulk Theory
Image
The Red Hulk's MCU debut has been confirmed for Captain America: Brave New World. A major MCU theory suggests President Ross could become the Red Hulk because of Extremis. Extremis has barely been mentioned in the MCU since Iron Man 3, so it's about time it was brought back properly.

One long-running MCU mystery is finally addressed in a new Captain America: Brave New World theory, explaining how the Red Hulk debuts in the upcoming Phase 5 movie. The first teaser trailer for Captain America: Brave New World, released on July 12, 2024, revealed a lot more about Anthony Mackie's big-screen debut as the McU's new Star-Spangled Man-with-a-Plan. Brave New World will not only pit Sam Wilson's Captain America against Tim Blake Nelson's Leader and Giancarlo Esposito's mysterious gun-toting villain, but will also bring him to blows with the Red Hulk.

The introduction of the Red Hulk in the...

All 9 Doctor-Lite Episodes In Doctor Who, Ranked Worst To Best
Image
Doctor-Lite episodes in modern Doctor Who feature companions taking the lead with minimal Doctor presence, each with varying storylines and characters. Some of the greatest Doctor Who stories come from Doctor-Lite episodes, showcasing the impact companions can have in saving the universe. Despite the absence of the Doctor in some episodes, the narrative still progresses with the companions leading the way, showing their strength and bravery.

Doctor Who's modern era includes some Doctor-Lite episodes, stories in which the Doctor is primarily absent on screen, and some are better than others. Classic-era Doctor Who doesnt generally contain episodes or serials where the Doctor is notably missing, but since the shows 2005 reboot, there are now several. The most recent Doctor-Lite episode, 73 Yards, contains quite a few members of the Doctor Who season 14 cast, except Ncuti Gatwas Fifteenth Doctor.

Doctor-Lite episodes all lack the Time Lord but vary in terms of storyline and characters.

Iron Man 3s Lingering 11-Year-Old Villain Mystery Has Only Gotten More Complicated 3 Phases Later
Image
Secret Invasion revealed that the Skrull invaders gained access to Extremis, but didn't explain when or how, and the Skrulls didn't use it to its full potential. Extremis soldiers are still active out there in the MCU, yet most movies and shows ignore the implications of their existence. Armor Wars might revisit Extremis by way of a vengeful Iron Man enemy who continues Aldrich Killian's original plans.

Secret Invasion brought back Iron Man 3's most dangerous MCU weapon and immediately ignored the danger it posed. Despite being based on one of Marvel's most famous comic book events, the McU's Secret Invasion was poorly received by fans and critics alike. The Secret Invasion Disney+ series didn't do its name justice, and it gave little importance to the few MCU connections it contained, including Maria Hill, James Rhodes, the Kree-Skrull war that inspired the Skrulls' invasion, and a few MCU easter eggs.

Iron Man Never Got to Fight His Joker in the MCU
Image
Iron Man's journey from B-list hero to iconic superhero was led by director Favreau and actor Downey Jr. in the birth of the MCU. The Mandarin, Iron Man's archenemy, finally appeared in Shang-Chi, tying to Fu Manchu, but both heroes are now deceased in the current MCU. Early plans for The Mandarin were ultimately changed in Iron Man 3, with a bold narrative twist on the classic comic book villain's character.

It is hard to believe it's been nearly 16 years since Iron Man hit theaters and kicked off the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel Studios took a B-list hero and made him one of the biggest superheroes in the world thanks to the combined talents of director Jon Favreau's unique vision and the inspired choice to cast Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. Iron Man became one of the biggest movies of 2008 and also served as the beginning of...

If you watched the series premiere of “America’s Got Talent: Extreme” on Monday night, you probably found yourself scratching your head when you caught your first glimpse of the judges’ table. NBC Delays ‘American Song Contest’, Slots ‘America’s Got Talent: Extreme’
Image
NBC has tweaked its midseason schedule, pushing the premiere of Eurovision offshoot American Song Contest by a month, from the previously announced Monday, Feb. 21 (8-10 p.m.) to March 21. Taking over the slot is new reality series America’s Got Talent: Extreme, which made headlines last fall when a contestant was badly hurt in an on-set accident.

According to sources, the decision to delay American Song Contest is being done over Covid concerns amid the current Omicron surge as the series consists of live shows whose logistics could be difficult in the current wave of rampant infections nationwide.

AGT: Extreme, which will debut Feb. 21, shut down filming in Georgia after stuntman Jonathan Goodwin was crushed between two cars in a daredevil stunt that went wrong. I hear the show had a few days left when production was halted. Filming wrapped in early January. It hasn’t been decided yet whether...

Full Lineup For 2nd New York Asian Film Festival (Nyaff) Winter Showcase February 14th to 16th, 2020
The New York Asian Film Festival ushers in the new decade with the second annual edition of its Winter Showcase.
