Karla Souza may play meek and mild Laurel on the ABC hit How to Get Away with Murder, but the actress's bold and daring personality in real life may surprise you.

As Mike Tyson once said, "everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face."

Well, Hank Moody's plan to turn down Samurai did not go as scripted, but somehow taking a punch from Peter Berg came across like a fitting moment in this week's "The Way of the Fist." Just like driving a Porsche with both headlights intact seemed out of character for Hank last episode, it didn't really feel like the season was under way until Hank got into fisticuffs with someone. 

Despite the fresh shiner, Hank still seemed off his game when he decided against telling Becca about Tyler's extra curricular activities at the club. The overly protective Hank has given Becca numerous reasons to hate him over the years, so why in this case would he care about hurting her one more time if it served to only benefit her in the end? Adorable Felicity Jones (The Tempest) stars in the snowy 2011 romantic comedy film Chalet Girl.

Reminiscent of a female Aspen Extreme, the movie stars Jones as pretty tomboy Kim, a one-time champion skateboarder who now flips burgers to support herself and her dad. Opportunity comes knocking when she lands a winter-long catering job in a plush ski chalet in the Austrian Alps.

At first, Kim is overwhelmed by this bizarre new world of champagne-sipping posh people, epic mountains and waist-deep powder. But then she discovers snowboarding, and her natural talent soon sees her training for the end-of-season competition, which could win her major prize money and maybe even the affections of her boss’ handsome son Jonny (Ed Westwick, TV’s Gossip Girl).

I have quite the variety of films I watched this week from the random early '90s sports flick, to the small Gus Van Sant flick, to the late '40s near-noir. In short, it was a good week of movie watching. Let's get to it...

Paranoid Park (2007) Quick Thoughts: This had been in my Instant Queue for about a year or so based on a lot of good things I'd heard about it. The less-than-90-minute runtime was the reason I finally decided to watch it as I wanted something that wasn't too long to watch one night before calling it a day. If I wanted to simplify it down to a sentence, I'd say Paranoid Park proves Gus Van Sant is a true storyteller.

The film deals with Alex (Gabe Nevins), a skateboarder that finds himself working out just what he should do following the accidental death of a security guard.

The other day I started the Inglorious Basterds Blu-ray at a friends place and was greeted by an extra-hairy, gunslinging Paul Gross in a trailer for the upcoming Canadian comedy Gunless.* It's the story of -- get this -- a gunslinger who calls out a surly blacksmith (played by Tyler Mane, the new Michael Myers), only to find out that the town doesn't have one working pistol for the showdown. I laughed, put it on my mental movie to-do list, and carried on. But then I watched it again over at Quiet Earth (embedded after the jump), and found myself wondering: When will we get a Paul Gross v. Bruce Campbell showdown?
