Dolph Lundgren in Au-dessus de la loi (1993)

Goofs

Au-dessus de la loi

Edit

Continuity

During the car garage shoot-out, a Chinese gunman on a balcony drops a sawed-off shotgun after being shot. Midway falling through the air, the gun changes into a totally different style shotgun with a shoulder-rest attachment.
An older Toyota pickup was used in the scene where it is pushed down the hill. Different type of rollbar is visible-the one on the '92 is mounted on the fender wells, whereas the one on the rollover truck is mounted on the floor of the bed.
Rita is seen wearing panties in the motel restroom; in a later scene, where she and Santee are under a railroad trestle, she is wearing a thong bikini bottom instead.
During the garage shootout, Santee fires eight shots from a six-shooter revolver.
When Santee is drinking water obtained from the dug-out dirt, there is late evening sky in the background, but shots of coyote Santee observes while drinking are shot against night sky. Few seconds later, when Santee departs, the sky behind him is also pitch-black.

Factual errors

Once Santee has stolen Severence's Ferrari F40, Severence comments that the vehicle is capable of doing 160 mph. In fact, the top speed of the car is 201 mph, the first production vehicle to exceed 200 mph.
The Ferrari F40 and Lamborghini Countach are depicted as being quite evenly matched during the car chase sequence. In fact, the F40 is much faster and more nimble in all respects.

Revealing mistakes

As Santee approaches the roadblock in the Ferrari and slams on the brakes the black skid marks from a previous take are visible.

Crew or equipment visible

Reflected in villains' car (pan and scan video only).
Film crew helicopter shadow visible in the mountain car chase.
You can see a crew members face in the reflection of the black sports car in the chase scene.
When Santee (Lundgren) and Rita (Alfonso) are escaping from Jimmy Shoeshine's warehouse, and shoot the white silos as they drive by, the camera shot from up on the hill showing the explosion shows a crew member sitting on the ground also watching the explosion. He has equipment with him, and could possibly be one of the crew in charge of remotely detonating the explosives.
When Santee uses the chewing gum to stick the lighter to the hanging sling traces of gum from a previous take are visible.

Plot holes

When the Deputy at the warehouse goes to look at the CCTV recording of the shootout from the night before, the tape is ready to play at the exact moment to reveal who the guilty party really was - so - if Santee left it cued up for the cops to find why did he not just take the tape and hand himself in to the nearest Police Station.
