Chuck Lorre and Nick Bakay are back together for the next chapter of their hit comedy with Bookie season 2. The 10-time Emmy nominee and Bakay's history of collaborations goes back to the former's second-ever created show with 1994's Grace Under Fire, in which the latter made a guest appearance, before later reuniting on Two and a Half Men, in which Bakay worked both in front of and behind the camera on Mom, Young Sheldon, The Kominsky Method and Bob Hearts Abishola. The Max show also served as Bakay's debut in the creator's chair, co-writing every episode with Lorre.

Bradford English had a screen acting career that spanned from 1971 to 2010, and over those 39 years he racked up more than 70 credits – but for many of us, he’s best remembered for playing the drunk, abusive blowhard John Strode in the 1995 horror sequel Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers. Sadly, we lost English right before Halloween this year, as it has been reported that he passed away on October 25th in Pasadena, California at the age of 82.
English was born in South Orange, New Jersey on January 16, 1942. His obituary can be found online and says he “was a true force of life and was filled with love. He was a husband and a family man who was survived by his loving wife and high school sweetheart Cecelia Gail English. Together they created a beautiful family of four children: James Bradford English Jr., Jeffrey Brennan English, Kristin Lunney English and Colleen Margaret Theresa English.

Heartbreak comes frequently for Friday the 13th fans. The franchise has had a rough ride over the last couple decades, getting bogged down in legal issues and creative false stars. We get a video game, then the rug is pulled out from under it when it’s just getting started. A movie almost happens, then gets scrapped just weeks before filming was scheduled to begin. The Crystal Lake TV show was just a couple months from filming, then the showrunner gets fired. But worse than all of that is the fact that we’re in a time when actors from our beloved films are passing away very often. Just last month, we lost Erich Anderson, who was in the cast of Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter. Now Jason Lives: Friday the 13th Part VI director Tom McLoughlin has broken the news that Whitney Rydbeck, who played the ill-fated paintball player Roy in his film,...

Some '90s sitcoms, like Townies, struggled to differentiate themselves from more popular shows, leading to their cancelation. Shows like Hangin' With Mr. Cooper and Two Guys and a Girl had unique elements but still faced cancelation due to low ratings. Despite talented casts and well-written scripts, sitcoms like Sports Night and NewsRadio failed to attract a strong audience, leading to their decline.
The affection for many '90s sitcoms persisted into the subsequent decades, but a few series have been neglected. Certain sitcoms like The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Friends have become synonymous with the decade and the legacy of such shows has overshadowed some overlooked gems. While a few of the forgotten '90s shows only lasted for a few episodes, others have multiple seasons to their names. Shows like NewsRadio and Grace Under Fire lasted for a few years, but aren't widely discussed anymore.

Will Ferrell's Land of the Lost underperformed due to a lack of humor and adventure promised in its sci-fi premise. This movie's failure was mainly due to its inconsistency in tone and narrative, making it difficult to attract a specific audience. Despite its shortcomings, Land of the Lost offers lighthearted escapism with memorable funny moments and Will Ferrell's comedic talent on display.
Netflix is now the home of a Will Ferrell sci-fi movie that performed terribly at the global box office. Best known for his comedy roles in movies, like Anchorman, Elf, and Step Brothers, Will Ferrell's career as a comedian started slowly when he saw little success in the standup space. Even in the world of acting, Ferrell took his time to find his feet as he took small roles in TV shows like Grace Under Fire and Living Single during his early years.

Netflix is ready to tee off with Will Ferrell.
In his first scripted TV comedy series, Ferrell will star in a scripted comedy series titled Golf. The streamer has picked up 10 episodes of the series, which is co-created by Ferrell, Ramy Youssef — who will also have an onscreen role — and Josh Rabinowitz (Babes, Ramy, The Carmichael Show).
In Golf, Ferrell will play a fictional golf legend. Details on Youssef’s part are being kept under wraps though sources say the show isn’t a two-hander. (Netflix also stresses that Golf should be capitalized, though it’s unclear if it’s an acronym.)
Youssef and Rabinowitz, who previously teamed for Hulu’s critically praised comedy Ramy, will serve as showrunners and exec produce Golf alongside Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum and Alix Taylor for Gloria Sanchez Productions. The streamer has given a 16-episode order to an untitled multi-cam sitcom, headlined by Morgan in her TV acting debut and executive produced by top comedy showrunner Chuck Lorre. Additionally, Netflix has picked up two more stand-up specials from Morgan following the success of her first one, the 2023 Leanne Morgan: I’m Every Woman.
Co-created by Morgan, Lorre and Susan McMartin, the Untitled Leanne Morgan Project will follow Leanne whose life is upended when her husband of 33 years leaves her for another woman. For most of his childhood, Cole Sprouse was naturally lumped together with his identical twin brother, Dylan Sprouse. They started their acting careers while still in diapers, unaware of the future fame their first commercial would bring. When the boys were 12, they were cast to star in their own Disney show, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. The pair spent six years in the roles due to the success of that series as well as the spin-off series The Suite Life of the Deck and then, finally, The Suite Life Movie.
At the age of 18, the twins decided to take a step back from child stardom and pursue a college education. Both were adamant about studying something other than film to gain perspective of the world outside of countdowns and stage lights. Once out of college, the two split off into different career paths. As comedian Will Ferrell walked across the magnificent stage of The Kennedy Center to accept the greatest honor an America funny person can receive, The Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, something happened that made us all remember why he is getting this prestigious honor. The award instantly slipped from Will’s hilarious fingers, shattering this legendary humorist’s bust all over the floor. An obvious gag, that was so damn fitting to what Will represents in the history of the art of doing silly stuff. Without breaking character for a second, Will hilariously tries to pick up the pieces as the world just sat back and laughed… but not laughing at him, we were laughing with him. The appeal of Will Ferrell comes from his innocent “I don’t give a f*ck” attitude that elevates simple stupid jokes to performance art. As Mr. Ferrell once said, “What I...

The last time Chuck Lorre and Charlie Sheen were co-workers was early in 2011, when the producer-actor duo were in the middle of making the eighth season of the CBS smash hit comedy Two and a Half Men. Sheen’s addiction problems flared up again, landing him in the hospital, then in rehab, and then giving a series of incendiary interviews — notably one with Alex Jones where Sheen derisively called his boss “Chaim Levine” (Lorre’s birth name is Charles Levine). Sheen was eventually fired from the show, and his character,...

Kim Kardashian is embracing developing her acting chops in the newest season of Ryan Murphy’s “American Horror Story.”
“Anytime you try something, you just have to have the intention of growing and challenging yourself,” the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star said in a behind-the-scenes teaser for the upcoming FX series’ latest season, subtitled “Delicate.” “Then you just kinda release and have fun.”
“American Horror Story: Delicate,” which premieres Wednesday, centers on actress Anna Victoria Alcott (Emma Roberts) who struggles with multiple failed attempts of IVF to achieve her dream of starting a family. “As the buzz around her recent film grows, she fears that something may be targeting her — and her pursuit of motherhood,” according to the official logline.

The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. ran for just a single season in 1993, but it quickly developed a cult following thanks to star Bruce Campbell and a quirky steampunk concept. The show also featured classic Western tropes such as train robberies and high-noon-style shootouts that weren't prevalent at the time. Episodes can be downloaded from Amazon Prime and other outlets.
The pilot sends the title character after notorious outlaw John Bly to avenge the death of his father, Brisco County, Sr. And along the way, he becomes entangled in the search for a mysterious Orb that contains great power and great danger in equal amounts. Brisco County also features a series of strange clockwork inventions, some of which are provided by Brisco's ally, Professor Wickwire. The cast formed a big part of the show's appeal, with Campbell leading a bevy of funny and talented supporting performances.

The first trailer for “American Horror Story: Delicate” has arrived, and Kim Kardashian is demanding to know which is more important: an Oscar or a baby?
“Do you want an Oscar? Do you want it as much as a baby?” Kardashian’s Siobhan Walsh asks Emma Roberts’ Anna Victoria Alcott.
Though “American Horror Story” Season 12 has already released several unsettling and stylized teasers, this clip is the first look into what this new season is about. Based on Danielle Valentine’s book “Delicate Condition” and showrun by playwright Halley Feiffer (“I’m Gonna Pray for You So Hard”), fans already knew this season would center around a Hollywood star who’s desperate to have a child. But as she gets further and further down the path of motherhood, she starts to believe several people are trying to stop her from having this baby, including her own husband.

Sctv alum Dave Thomas has teamed with actor and son Harrison Thomas to develop the dark comedy The Orange for the CBC and BBC Studios.
The father-son sitcom, produced by Canada’s Project 10 Productions, follows a family that witnesses a gangland bombing and is placed by The Royal Canadian Mounted Police in a witness protection program in Rye, England. Only when they reach their new U.K. home does the family realize the Mounties have been dumping all their witnesses and informants in Rye, including Canada’s most hardened criminals who are now their next-door neighbors.
Canadian comic and actor Dave Thomas and Rick Moranis played Sctv‘s and Saturday Night Live’s beer-loving McKenzie brothers during the 1980s. Their act, which was launched to mock government mandated Canadian TV content rules, was spun off into the 1983 cult comedy Strange Brew, and that year also made the late-night transition stateside to SNL.

At Carsey-Werner, Lazarus put into place massive global deals for its comedies including The Cosby Show, Roseanne, That ‘70s Show, 3rd Rock from the Sun, A Different World, Cybill, Grace Under Fire and Grounded for Life — – many of which remain in place today.
“He saw the lighter side of our business and always said that we were lucky it didn’t involve decisions of life and death,” said Alexandra Taylor, Carsey-Werner’s London-based EVP international. Cole Sprouse has claimed that Hollywood “encourages the worst qualities” in actors.
The Riverdale star made his screen debut in commercials as a baby, before starring in the sitcom Grace Under Fire alongside his twin brother Dylan when they were both toddlers.
Appearing on The Diary of a CEO podcast, Sprouse opened up about his youth spent as a child star and said that many young actors got into the industry to “put food on the table”.
“I think the pressure of my upbringing really compelled me to keep doing what I am today,” he told host Steven Bartlett.
“I cannot live without the arts… without performance or expression of some kind, because truly it’s all I know and have known since I was eight months old.”
Sprouse said that he “loved being on stage” growing up, but added that he “didn’t like the s*** that came with it”.

The ‘90s comedy Grace Under Fire followed a family much more hardscrabble than that of Home Improvement, the sitcom it was initially paired with on ABC. The show, created by Chuck Lorre, starred Brett Butler as Grace Kelly, a single mom raising three kids, while recovering from alcoholism and an abusive marriage, with the support of her colleagues and neighbors in the fictional town of Victory, Missouri. Unfortunately, Butler was struggling with addiction in real life, dealing with Vicodin abuse off-screen. And after a curtailed fifth season, a ratings downfall, and plenty of behind-the-scenes tumult, ABC pulled the plug in 1998. “At the bloody, bitter end, I really was difficult,” Butler told The Hollywood Reporter in 2021. “I was out of my mind. Drugs will do that to you. The show should have been pulled sooner than it was.” Nevertheless, the show started off a big hit with viewers, ranking as the...

“The following is a true story. Except for cutting the boring shit and making up a bunch of stuff, this really happened.”
So opens Sex, Drugs and a Sitcom, a wild TV pilot script written by überproducer Chuck Lorre about the tumultuous time he spent steering the ship at Two and a Half Men. The series starred, of course, Charlie Sheen, then one of the highest-paid actors on TV, before he was fired in 2011 after publicly attacking Lorre, launching antisemitic insults and calling him a “turd” and a “clown.”
The script, obtained by THR, is dated June 15, 2022. According to a source, Lorre shopped it around town but didn’t set it up — though there’s little doubt it dropped a few jaws with its raucous, no-holds-barred account of what (possibly?) went on behind the scenes.

It seems like Hayley Atwell just can't seem to get away from the spy game. Perhaps best known for taking on the role of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Peggy Carter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the actress has now entered another major motion picture spy franchise, Mission: Impossible with her entrance to the franchise coming in the still filming seventh movie, which had its release date delayed earlier today.
