Former Disney actress Maitland Ward has spoken about the level of respect she has received since transitioning from mainstream acting to the adult film industry. Ward, best known for her role as Rachel McGuire on Boy Meets World, said she feels that people—especially within Hollywood—treat her with greater respect now than during her time in traditional entertainment.

Ward, who began her acting career in the mid-1990s on The Bold and the Beautiful and later appeared in Home Improvement, Killing Mr. Griffin (1997), Dish Dogs (2000), and White Chicks (2004), said she has found empowerment in her new career. Speaking to Fox News Digital, she explained that she has been able to take full control over her work and artistic vision, stating, “I’m creating full-length movies. I’m doing things like making projects that I really feel passionate about. I work with a female director, who has been amazing.”

Maitland Ward, who made her name on the 1990s Disney-produced sitcom Boy Meets World, says she enjoys more industry respect now that she has branched out into pornographic filmmaking.

The former starlet found success in seasons six and seven of Boy Meets World, where she played Rachel Maguire. Previously she had broken through on CBS TV soap The Bold and the Beautiful in the mid-1990s.

Ward has since moved into a different field, and she told Fox News Digital of the empowerment she now feels in her new career.

She told the news outlet:

“I really think people treat me with more respect now, honestly, especially even in Hollywood right now. I’m pitching my memoir into a TV format and talking with people. They’re so respectful, and they’re so positive about my story, especially younger people and different people that I speak to in Hollywood and stuff.

While “Friends” remains one of the most beloved sitcoms of all time, actor Stephen Park, who appeared in Season 2 episode “The One With the Chicken Pox” and Season 3’s “The One With the Ultimate Fighting Champion,” doesn’t remember his time on the show fondly.

“It was at the time, I felt it was kind of a toxic environment,” Park said during a recent appearance on the “Pod Meets World” podcast. “James Hong was the actor who was also on the episode with me, and [the assistant director] was calling him to the set and you know, essentially saying, ‘Where the fuck is the Oriental guy? Get the Oriental guy.’”

He continued, “This isn’t the first time that this happened, you know, but this is the environment where this is business as usual in Hollywood in 1997, I guess it was. And nobody felt the need to correct this or say anything about it.

According to his costars, Boy Meets World actor Ben Savage has ghosted his former castmates in recent years, and there may be a few reasons why. 

Savage played the lovable main character of the hit ABC comedy, Cory Matthews, for seven seasons from 1993 to 2000, following his growth through middle school, high school, and college. 

He would then return to the franchise in 2014, reprising his role in the show's spiritual successor, Girl Meets World (which starred My Life With the Walter Boys' Corey Fogelman). He would help lead that series for three more seasons before it came to an end in 2017.

It was a tense reunion between Boy Meets World stars Danielle Fishel and Maitland Ward on the latest episode of the Pod Meets World podcast.

Ward was a guest on the podcast hosted by Fishel, Rider Strong, and Will Firedle, as the Boy Meets World alum talked about Season 6 of the ABC sitcom. Ward joined the show in 1998 and stayed with the series until its end in 2000.

Midway through the podcast that premiered on February 24, Fishel asked Ward, “Do you hate us?”

“No, I don’t hate you,” Ward said, adding, “I think that you hate me because you wouldn’t speak to me on Girl Meets World and that was hurtful.”

Ward was referring to the Boy Meets World spinoff sequel series, Girl Meets World, which aired on Disney Channel for three seasons. In 2013, Ward shared a photo from the set of the series alongside stars Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter.

In a podcast first, “Pod Meets World” included the following warning at the top of their latest episode: “This episode contains a bunch of adult language and subject matter. Please proceed with caution.”

The Feb. 23 episode featured Maitland Ward, the actor best known as Rachel McGuire on “Boy Meets World.” After visiting the “Girl Meets World” set in 2015, Ward began growing her personal brand and later went on to become an adult film star. While they did discuss that transition and her work now, it wasn’t until after that discussion that things got extremely tense.

The tone changed about 55 minutes in, when co-host Danielle Fishel asked, “Do you hate us?” Ward replied, “No, I do not hate you. I think that you hate me, because you wouldn’t speak to me on ‘Girl Meets World,’ and that was hurtful.”

From there, the pair went back and forth about their relationship through the years.

The creator of ABC‘s “Tgif” is setting the record straight.

Jim Janicek created the popular programming block back in the 1980s, and it has featured such shows as Roseanne, Full House, Family Matters, Step by Step, Boy Meets World and more.

While many thought it stood for “Thank God It’s Friday,” Jim reveals that the Friday night block’s acronym actually stood for something else!

On graduation day, Justin had planned a surprise for the students that involved unicorns and fireworks, which backfired when the fireworks went off too early and spooked the unicorns. Even all these years later, people still love the original 1970s Muppet Show — with the exception of all of those episodes featuring “negative stereotypes,” and also that one where the guest hosts were a creepy as hell mime couple.

Danielle Fishel has officially completed her treatment for breast cancer.

The 43-year-old Boy Meets World star confirmed she was “officially” done with treatment on her Pop Meets World podcast on Monday (January 13).

While that’s great news, she is now dealing with the painful side effects following 20 rounds of radiation.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported that Hussey died due to cancer. Filmmaker Marc Huestis confirmed her passing, telling the outlet, “I just heard some sad, sad news. I adored her. She had so much love, and was the most beautiful Juliet ever. On screen and in real life she exuded love and life.”

Born in Argentina in 1951, Hussey was still a child when she began her acting career.
