In a sit-down a year after the release of Investigation Discovery’s Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, Drake Bell — whose revelations of experiencing sexual abuse at the hands of his former Nickelodeon dialogue coach/manager Brian Peck triggered massive shockwaves throughout the industry — said he has experienced a “roller coaster of emotions” amid the support he’s received.
“It’s been a really nice weight lifted,” he told People. “It’s a roller coaster of emotions. I don’t want to sugarcoat it and make the message, ‘Hey, all you got to do is just tell somebody and get your story out and when you wake up the next day, it’s going to be gone and everything’s going to be fine and you’re going to walk through life without any pain or sorrow or sadness!’ It’s always going to be there, but...

Drake Bell told People magazine that a weight has been lifted, one year after the airing of ID Discovery’s “Quiet on Set.” The documentary series featured Bell going public for the first time about being sexually assaulted as a teenager by his Nickelodeon dialogue coach Brian Peck. It was perhaps the biggest bombshell to emerge from “Quiet on Set,” which also detailed claims of misconduct behind the scenes at Nickelodeon during the 1990s and early 2000s.
“It’s been a really nice weight lifted,” Bell said while marking the one-year anniversary of the “Quiet on Set” premiere. “It’s a roller coaster of emotions. She ruled the Billboard charts in 2024 with her hit songs "Espresso," "Please Please Please," and "Taste." Her "Short n' Sweet" world tour filled arenas across the United States and Canada. To top it all off, she walked away from the 2025 Grammys with two awards for Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album. Of course, we're talking about the entendre-loving pop superstar and short queen, Sabrina Carpenter.
To the casual pop culture consumer, it might seem like Sabrina Carpenter popped up out of nowhere in 2024 to take the music world by storm, but that's hardly the case. Carpenter has been a dedicated performer since she was a pre-teen, finding success as a star on the Disney Channel and releasing her debut album, "Eyes Widen Open," all the way back in 2015. However, it wasn't until her 2022 record, "Emails I Can't Send," that established her as a mainstream pop star in the making,...

Former Disney actress Maitland Ward has spoken about the level of respect she has received since transitioning from mainstream acting to the adult film industry. Ward, best known for her role as Rachel McGuire on Boy Meets World, said she feels that people—especially within Hollywood—treat her with greater respect now than during her time in traditional entertainment.
Ward, who began her acting career in the mid-1990s on The Bold and the Beautiful and later appeared in Home Improvement, Killing Mr. Griffin (1997), Dish Dogs (2000), and White Chicks (2004), said she has found empowerment in her new career. Speaking to Fox News Digital, she explained that she has been able to take full control over her work and artistic vision, stating, “I’m creating full-length movies. I’m doing things like making projects that I really feel passionate about. I work with a female director, who has been amazing.”

Maitland Ward, who made her name on the 1990s Disney-produced sitcom Boy Meets World, says she enjoys more industry respect now that she has branched out into pornographic filmmaking.
The former starlet found success in seasons six and seven of Boy Meets World, where she played Rachel Maguire. Previously she had broken through on CBS TV soap The Bold and the Beautiful in the mid-1990s.
Ward has since moved into a different field, and she told Fox News Digital of the empowerment she now feels in her new career.
She told the news outlet:
“I really think people treat me with more respect now, honestly, especially even in Hollywood right now. I’m pitching my memoir into a TV format and talking with people. They’re so respectful, and they’re so positive about my story, especially younger people and different people that I speak to in Hollywood and stuff.

While “Friends” remains one of the most beloved sitcoms of all time, actor Stephen Park, who appeared in Season 2 episode “The One With the Chicken Pox” and Season 3’s “The One With the Ultimate Fighting Champion,” doesn’t remember his time on the show fondly.
“It was at the time, I felt it was kind of a toxic environment,” Park said during a recent appearance on the “Pod Meets World” podcast. “James Hong was the actor who was also on the episode with me, and [the assistant director] was calling him to the set and you know, essentially saying, ‘Where the fuck is the Oriental guy? Get the Oriental guy.’”
He continued, “This isn’t the first time that this happened, you know, but this is the environment where this is business as usual in Hollywood in 1997, I guess it was. And nobody felt the need to correct this or say anything about it.

Did Ryan Reynolds’ co-stars have a hard time with his comic nature? (Photo Credit – Facebook)
Ryan Reynolds is one of the most beloved actors in Hollywood. He is known for his razor-sharp wit, self-deprecating humor, and improvisational genius. His natural charisma and comedic timing made Deadpool a global success, earning him a devoted fan base that loves him for both his on-screen antics and his real-life personality. Whether roasting fellow celebrities on social media or delivering hilarious ad-libs in his movies, Reynolds has built a reputation as an actor who always brings his style to a role.
However, this same quality that made him a superstar hasn’t always been easy for those around him. Early in his career, before he became the megastar he is today, Reynolds’ insistence on “doing his own thing” caused friction on set. A former co-star said his approach frustrated the production team and led to some severe behind-the-scenes tension.

If you're a Millennial (especially of the elder variety), it's safe to say that you have some memory of "Family Matters" buried deep down in your psyche. Or perhaps it's not that deep down, and that's okay too. The 1990s-era sitcom was one of the biggest parts of ABC's famous "Tgif" lineup for most of the decade. Like shows such as "Full House" and "Step by Step," "Family Matters" was a lighthearted, low-stakes family sitcom about a big, rowdy family and the misadventures they got into. "Family Matters" was specifically set in Chicago and focused on the Winslow family along with their obnoxious neighbor Steve Urkel. Of course, Urkel very quickly became the biggest part of the show, vastly outshining the Winslow kids and often being paired with harried patriarch Carl.
In a way, it's kind of funny to think that "Family Matters" only became a big hit thanks in...

Before his Emmy Award nomination for "Severance" (the mind-bending second season of which is currently underway on Apple TV+) playing a man who literally splits his working and personal lives, or starring on the beloved sitcom "Parks & Recreation," Adam Scott was one of several guest stars on "Boy Meets World" who went on to make it big. The ABC sitcom was part of the popular T.G.I.F. Friday night programming from 1993-2000 before re-running on the Disney Channel and ABC Family. "Boy Meets World" follows a neurotic 11-year-old through his school years as he navigates becoming a better person with the help of his wise teacher Mr. Feeny, a romantic relationship with his one true love Topanga, and social class differences with his best buddy Shawn.

Behind-the-scenes drama is far more common in Hollywood than you’d think, and sometimes, the stories that emerge from it are more entertaining than the films themselves. Ryan Reynolds also has an anecdote that falls into this category, which has recently been narrated by his co-star.

Girl Meets World, the sequel/spinoff show of Boy Meets World, has had quite a few storylines that haven't sat well with viewers. From religious intolerance to problematic age gaps, this show has unsettled even the most die hard Disney Channel fans. Perhaps one of the most controversial episodes premiered on September 11, 2015: Season 2, Episode 15, "Girl Meets I am Farkle."
The episode follows the friend group as they learn that spunky and smart Farkle may have a form of autism. Farkle takes this information with pride in this new facet of his identity, but his friends are discouraging and dismissive of the possibility that this is something Farkle could have.

Ryan Reynolds is a fan-favorite actor, whose role as a leading actor grossed over $4.4 billion at the worldwide box office. Now synonymous with the role of Deadpool, the actor is easily defined by his cheek-in-tongue, self-deprecating humor.
Over the years, Reynolds made a name for himself with roles that often poked fun at himself, whether in action, comedy, or more. While the actor proved his range in films like 2008's Fireflies in the Garden, 2010's Buried, and 2014's Voices, it was his comedy roles that won the public over and enchanted the critics. However, in a new episode of Brotherly Love Podcast, hosted by actor Matthew Lawrence and his brothers Joey and Andy, Matthew opened up about his experience with Reynolds on the set of 1998's Boltneck, where the Canadian actor reportedly "really upset" the crew.

According to his costars, Boy Meets World actor Ben Savage has ghosted his former castmates in recent years, and there may be a few reasons why.
Savage played the lovable main character of the hit ABC comedy, Cory Matthews, for seven seasons from 1993 to 2000, following his growth through middle school, high school, and college.
He would then return to the franchise in 2014, reprising his role in the show's spiritual successor, Girl Meets World (which starred My Life With the Walter Boys' Corey Fogelman). He would help lead that series for three more seasons before it came to an end in 2017.

Danielle Fishel and Maitland Ward had it out.
A lot of drama has emerged from the Boy Meets World cast’s podcast. From memories of predators who manipulated them to hide to recollections of what it was like to film, they’ve shared a lot.
This time, the drama erupted on the podcast itself.

It was a tense reunion between Boy Meets World stars Danielle Fishel and Maitland Ward on the latest episode of the Pod Meets World podcast.
Ward was a guest on the podcast hosted by Fishel, Rider Strong, and Will Firedle, as the Boy Meets World alum talked about Season 6 of the ABC sitcom. Ward joined the show in 1998 and stayed with the series until its end in 2000.
Midway through the podcast that premiered on February 24, Fishel asked Ward, “Do you hate us?”
“No, I don’t hate you,” Ward said, adding, “I think that you hate me because you wouldn’t speak to me on Girl Meets World and that was hurtful.”
Ward was referring to the Boy Meets World spinoff sequel series, Girl Meets World, which aired on Disney Channel for three seasons. In 2013, Ward shared a photo from the set of the series alongside stars Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter.

In a podcast first, “Pod Meets World” included the following warning at the top of their latest episode: “This episode contains a bunch of adult language and subject matter. Please proceed with caution.”
The Feb. 23 episode featured Maitland Ward, the actor best known as Rachel McGuire on “Boy Meets World.” After visiting the “Girl Meets World” set in 2015, Ward began growing her personal brand and later went on to become an adult film star. While they did discuss that transition and her work now, it wasn’t until after that discussion that things got extremely tense.
The tone changed about 55 minutes in, when co-host Danielle Fishel asked, “Do you hate us?” Ward replied, “No, I do not hate you. I think that you hate me, because you wouldn’t speak to me on ‘Girl Meets World,’ and that was hurtful.”
From there, the pair went back and forth about their relationship through the years.

Sabrina has dominated the airwaves with tunes like “Espresso” and “Please Please Please.” Plus, her Short N’ Sweet tour was one of the hottest tickets of the summer.
While the tour may be done, Sabrina is still keeping in the conversation. She recently released the very funny musical holiday special A Nonsense Christmas on Netflix.

Before Adam Scott became a household name for his comedic roles in TV and film, he was a serious actor with a steady career in drama. However, his path would take an unexpected turn in 2008 when he appeared in Step Brothers, a role that not only gave Scott a name, but made him completely rethink his career path.
What followed was almost two decades of standout roles in some of the best comedies of the era. From Parks and Recreation to Party Down, Scott proved he could be much more than a drama actor – he could be effortlessly funny. However, despite his success in comedy, he never lost his dramatic instincts, finally returning to his roots in Severance, delivering a performance that feels like the culmination of both sides of his career.

Coming-of-age tales are a dime a dozen and standard fare for the famed Nickelodeon network. The beloved staple of network television has dazzled children, tweens, and teens since 1979. Its name is on theme parks, toys, and media empires. Even now, over a decade since its rebranding, the network’s iconic “slime splat” motif is as famous as ever. Much of this fame comes from its beloved lineup of cultural touchstones — big names like Danny Phantom, Fairly OddParents, Rugrats, and SpongeBob Squarepants.
However, not all of Nickelodeon’s shows are massive hits. One of the network’s best coming-of-age tales ran for three seasons and spanned a mere four years of broadcasting space. As Told by Gingerwas just one of many shows bridging that tricky tween-to-teen age bracket. Even now, decades after its end, the show’s themes and ideas remain relevant. After all, growing up has always been hard. Everyone endures the same challenges.

It's not unusual for an actor or stunt person to play multiple characters in the same movie, especially when they're bogged down in prosthetics and make-up, which makes it hard to recognize them. But 20 characters? That's definitely more than average. For stunt actor and little person Kevin Thompson, though, it was worth it to be a part of the Star Wars universe in Return of the Jedi, even if the Ewok costumes he wore were a little constricting.
Thompson appeared on a recent episode of Pod Meets World hosted by Rider Strong, Danielle Fishel, and Will Friedle, who are just three stars from the hit '90s sitcom Boy Meets World. They regularly re-watch old episodes of their series, and were joined by Thompson – who was a stand-in for the child actors – and his wife, Tracey. The subject of Star Wars was eventually brought up, and it was then that...

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place fans finally got an answer to what actually happened during the “Unicorn Accident” at WizTech.
In the pilot episode of the Wizards of Waverly Place sequel series, it was revealed that David Henrie’s Justin Russo was fired as the headmaster at the wizarding school due to the mysterious accident, which is no longer a mystery.
The latest episode of the Disney+ series saw Billie (Janice Leann Brown) using a potion to enter Justin’s mind and discovering that Justin’s underling, who eventually took over as headmaster when the eldest Russo was fired, sabotaged him. On graduation day, Justin had planned a surprise for the students that involved unicorns and fireworks, which backfired when the fireworks went off too early and spooked the unicorns. When Justin tried to use his wand to stop the herd from stampeding on students,...

Even all these years later, people still love the original 1970s Muppet Show — with the exception of all of those episodes featuring “negative stereotypes,” and also that one where the guest hosts were a creepy as hell mime couple.
But there is seemingly less affection for Muppets Tonight, the ‘90s Muppet Show reboot that aired for just two seasons (first on ABC and then the Disney Channel). In its defense, Muppets Tonight was the only TV show that gave us legendary comedian Don Rickles dressed as Kermit the Frog and Coolio dressed as Steve Urkel in the same episode.
Weirdly, one episode of Muppets Tonight ended up being more controversial than the later series in which Fozzie Bear dates a human woman, and was yanked from the schedule to avoid offending the public. The 1996 episode featured host Sandra Bullock appearing in a variety of typically wacky Muppet sketches, including comedic riffs of her own films,...

Can I let you all in on a little secret?
I watched the entirety of Xo, Kitty Season 2, and by the time the credits rolled, I had forgotten everything important that had happened.
It genuinely sucks when that happens, but it’s worse when it’s something that happens with a show that genuinely has great potential.
(Park Young-Sol/Netflix) Xo, Kitty is One of the Few Teen Series in a Disappearing Market
One of the biggest takeaways from Xo, Kitty is that the season came to a quick end by the time it started to find its rhythm, which sums up the series itself.
Kitty is a cute and fun teen protagonist in an age that lacks them.

Seth Meyers went on an epic Boy Meets World rant on his show Late Night with Seth Meyers, and didn't hold back that Topanga Lawrence (Danielle Fishel) made a mistake by proposing to Cory Matthews (Ben Savage) during their high school graduation. Boy Meets World originally ran on ABC for seven seasons between 1993 and 2000 and followed Cory growing up. One of the main storylines of the show was his relationship with Topanga, showing them growing closer together and eventually getting married.
During the "A Closer Look" segment on Late Night with Seth Meyers, the host reacted to a social media post from Vivek Ramaswamy, which said, "A culture that venerates Cory from 'Boy Meets World,' or Zack & Slater over Screech in 'Saved by the Bell,' or 'Stefan' over Steve Urkel in 'Family Matters,' will not produce the best engineers." “I am officially done with radiation,” she declared, going on to say she is “officially done with what is considered active cancer treatment.”
If you didn’t know, she revealed her diagnosis of ductal carcinoma in situ (Dcis), a form of breast cancer, in August of last year.
“I did 15 rounds of whole breast radiation and then five rounds of targeted radiation, which just means they focus in on the very small area where my cancer was versus treating the entire breast,” she explained.

Michelle Randolph won over viewers as Elizabeth Strafford in the Yellowstone prequel 1923, but her role in Taylor Sheridan's modern-day drama Landman couldn't be more different from Liz. Randolph stars as Ainsley Norris, the free-spirited daughter of Tommy Norris and Angela Russo, who joins her father at the oil house and gets herself into plenty of trouble. Most recently, Ainsley has started a flirtation with the local star quarterback -- much to Tommy's annoyance.
In an interview with Cbr before the Landman season finale, Randolph spoke about working on her second Taylor Sheridan series. She also talked about working to make Ainsley and her storyline distinct from other parent-child relationships seen in TV dramas. Fans can also learn about her experience behind the scenes.
Cbr: You're a series regular in 1923, and then you're also a series regular in Landman - but the two shows and the two characters are completely different.

WWE's flagship show Monday Night Raw premiered on Netflix on Jan. 6, 2025, to bizarre results. The Netflix and WWE partnership—two unmatched juggernauts in their respective entertainment domains—was a seismic shift for both companies, particularly for the iconic, albeit checkered, wrestling empire. Live from the new Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, the debut broadcast careened between soaring highs and deliciously awkward lows. The Rock and John Cena made appearances, Rhea Ripley claimed a star-making victory, and Cm Punk wrestled his first Raw match in over a decade—an instant classic against recent Captain America: Brave New World cut, Seth Rollins.
Among the chaos—from Hulk Hogan's hasty retreat amid a tsunami of boos to Macaulay Culkin's surprise appearance earning a thunderous ovation, one cringe-worthy sequence left fans stunned: WWE cameras zeroed in on Boy Meets World star Danielle Fishel while completely ignoring her co-star Will Friedle, who sat mere inches away,...

My first and only previous experience with WWE was a brief episode in 1990 during which my childhood neighbors, the Broders, recruited me for a letter-writing campaign to lift Hulk Hogan’s spirits.
The “Come Back Hulk” crusade, a mere half-sentence in the wrestler’s 16,000+-word Wikipedia biography, was a staged bit to coax the de facto star of the league (then known as WWF) back into the ring after a man called Earthquake broke his ego and several of his ribs. Its limited real estate in Hogan lore confirms this was just a blip in his and WWE history, but it burrowed into my seven-year-old brain to become its lone point of wrestling reference for decades. I thought of it when Hogan sued Gawker out of existence, when he flashed his Trump-Vance tank top on the RNC stage over the summer and, really, almost anytime I see a yellow Speedo.

One of the hottest debates will always rage over who's the best Batman. Live-action fans are torn between Michael Keaton and Christian Bale. Of course, Zack Snyder fans love Ben Affleck's Dark Knight. On the cartoon front, Kevin Conroy stands atop the list. But Will Friedle is another iconic name associated with the genre due to his role, not as Bruce Wayne, but as Terry McGinnis from Batman Beyond.
Many loved how Friedle went dark and bleak, switching things up from his other most famous role: Eric Matthews on Boy Meets World. Interestingly, Friedle had a hilarious role in a 1997 teenage rom-com, Trojan War, that didn't go quite as dark as Terry, but just far enough to subvert what he was as Eric: a clumsy charmer. Prolific character actor John Capodice passed away this week at the age of 83. But that’s no excuse for anybody to pour out a bag of cement into a washing machine in his honor.
In his nearly five decades working in film and on television, Capodice accrued an absolute laundry list of credits that includes so many all-time classics like Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Boy Meets World, Speed, Independence Day and, of course, Seinfeld, on which he played the honest laundromat owner Vic whom Jerry and Kramer victimize because they don’t understand how liability works. The cast of Boy Meets World candidly reacts to Mr. Turner's one-sentence sendoff. Appearing in 51 episodes, which went from season 2 to season 4, Turner develops a fatherly relationship with Shawn Hunter (Rider Strong). Sabrina Carpenter is one of the most popular music artists working today, and her 2024 was nothing short of extraordinary, resulting in a huge net worth. Carpenter released her album Short n' Sweet in August, which debuted atop the Billboard 200 list. Three of the album's singles — "Espresso," Please Please Please," and "Taste" — spent weeks on the Hot 100 charts. Carpenter also embarked on her first arena tour, released an incredible music video "Taste" that paid homage to cult classic Death Becomes Her, received six Grammy nominations, and debuted her Netflix special, A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter.
While many may think she got famous overnight, Carpenter's success is the result of years of hard work. Carpenter began her career in 2011 with a guest appearance on Law and Order: Svu. Her big break came in 2013 when she was cast on the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World, a spin-off of the beloved 90s show Boy Meets World.

Disney Channel has launched the careers of several young actors who are still working in the industry today. Disney stars like Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, and the Jonas Brothers began their careers in popular Disney Channel shows like Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, or the iconic film Camp Rock, before becoming international superstars. Yet sometimes, child stars have a hard time growing up in the entertainment industry or maintaining the same level of success in their different projects throughout time.
Disney Channel has many original movies and TV shows that have won over audiences worldwide and taken its stars to new levels of popularity. Vince Vaughn was once the torchbearer for rapid-fire, coked-up shenanigans. His high, gravelly laugh is probably ringing in your head right now. But after his run of over-quoted crass comedies of the aughts, Vaughn took a very laudable swing at serious acting roles in the True Detective series, Brawl in Cell Block 99, and Hacksaw Ridge. His latest project, the crime comedy Bad Monkey for Apple TV+ has just been renewed for a second season.

The '90s was a complicated time to be a TV teen. While the kids of "Beverly Hills, 90210" and "Melrose Place" were entrenched in constant scandalous teen drama, a gentler, more family-friendly version of teen life was drawing in audiences on ABC. "Boy Meets World" ran for an impressive 158 episodes, from 1993 to 2000, and remains a pop cultural touchstone — albeit not quite as potent of one as its cattier primetime counterparts — to this day.

If you watched the show at a young age, though, you'd be forgiven for not recognizing the industry veterans and...
