Was the first film produced by music label Venus. After its release Venus had 6 productions launched. One was Baazigar.
When the film was running to packed houses for 3 months, the producers added the song "Hoke Mann Aaj Magan" . The song was edited out before the films release.
The film had inspiration from 1975 Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh's hit Khel Khel Mein which was directed by Ravi Tandon.
Deepak Tijori went to the media and insisted that he was the hero of Khiladi and he was the main reason it was a hit. This upset Akshay but he remained quiet.
