The exclusivity window is closing on the mysterious Jack White album that arrived to his Third Man Records stores in Nashville, Detroit, and London earlier this month. After giving the record away for free to whomever could get their hands on the limited vinyl copies, the musician is sharing the wealth. The previously untitled album — officially called No Name — will receive a wide release on Aug. 2.

No Name is a one-man job. White has spent the past year recording, producing, and mixing the album himself at his Third Man Studio.

Jack White has announced a proper release for his new solo album. Titled No Name, the 13-track LP will be available beginning Thursday, August 1st, on limited edition vinyl at all Third Man Records locations. A wider vinyl release at select independent record stores, as well as a global digital release, will follow on Friday, April 2nd.

White initially unveiled No Name by slipping vinyl copies of the album into the bags of unsuspecting shoppers at Third Man Records on July 19th. He subsequently encouraged fans to rip copies of the album and upload the recordings online.

According to a press release, the album was recorded, produced, and mixed by White at Third Man Records’ Nashville studio throughout 2023 and 2024. It marks White’s sixth solo album to date, following the one-two punch of Fear of the Dawn and Entering Heaven Alive in 2022.

Amazon Prime has confirmed that several of its original series will be debuting new episodes on the streaming service in July, including the first seasons of both the Indian reality competition series “Comicstaan” and the Tour de France travelogue “Eat.Race.Win” and season 4 of the charming children’s series “Tumble Leaf.”

And there will also be new to Amazon Prime seasons of some of your favorites from other networks, including the final episodes of the Emmy-winning FX drama “The Americans,” all 12 seasons of the groundbreaking police drama “NYPD Blue” and all seven seasons of the Kyra Sedgwick crime series “The Closer.”

Likewise, there will be plenty of movies making their first appearances on Amazon Prime including the four films in the “Jaws” franchise and the Oscar-winning “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.”

The Delivery

It was in and out of theaters in a flash, but People Like Us is a nice little dramedy from an unlikely duo: Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. The pair have brought us some of the biggest of the big-budget Hollywood offerings, incuding films like the Transformers series, Star Trek, Cowboys and Aliens, and TV shows Fringe, Hawaii 5-0, and Alias.

For People Like Us, Kurtman (serving as producer, writer, and director) and Orci (who wrote and produced) bring us a very personal tale, based partly on their real-life experiences. It tells the story of Sam (Pine), who finds his busy life complicated when he returns home after his estranged father dies.

An eleven year-old boy (newcomer Thomas Horn, in an incredible debut) discovers a mysterious key amongst the possessions of his late father (Tom Hanks) who perished in 9/11. Determined to find the lock it matches, the boy embarks on a Picaresque odyssey across New York City. Director Stephen Daldry and screenwriter Eric Roth have fashioned a film both grand and intimate, beautifully-adapted from Jonathan Safran Foer’s novel, thought by most who read it to be unfilmable.
