    Ankward but lost little gem.

It is hard to believe that this little crime movie about petty punks, and typical of the eighties, was directed by the film maker who worked with John Garfield in the early fifties, or late forties. Who would believe that the same director dealed with both a young Clovis Cornillac and the great and late John Garfield. Cornillac was his step son, the son of Berry's wife Myriam Boyer. A topic about betrayal and denunciation, something very sensible for Berry who was one of the biggest victim of the Red Scare and Maccarthysm, who was denounced by Edward Dmytryck. It was a very personal piece of work for Berry, who gives here something not so different from his HE RAN ALL THE WAY. But Cornillac is not John Garfield. However this petty and cute little film deserves to be seen. I LOVE it. Gloomy, poignant, with a terrific Eddy Mitchell closing score.
