Lar Park-Lincoln, who played Linda Fairgate in nearly 50 episodes of CBS’ 1979-1993 primetime sudser Knots Landing, died on April 22. She was 63.

A cause of death was not immediately made available. Park-Lincoln had battled breast cancer since 2008, and as of 2012 had already gone through nine surgeries.

Lar Park Lincoln, who played dual characters on “Knot’s Landing” and starred in “Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood,” died April 22. She was 63.

Her company Actors Audition Studios announced her death on Facebook.

For five years, Lincoln played Linda Fairgate, daughter-in-law to the character Karen Fairgate, who was played by Michele Lee. She also appeared as the character known as Sally’s friend — who was a dead body for eight episodes.

Her first screen role was as a young sex worker in TV movie “Children of the Night” opposite Kathleen Quinlan and Mario Van Peebles.

She went on to have roles in “Heart of the City,” “Hunter,” “Outlaws,” “The Princess Academy,” “House II,” and “Highway to Heaven.”

After appearing as Tina Shepard, the teenage protagonist with telekinetic abilities in “Friday the 13th Part VII,” Lincoln appeared in “Freddy’s Nightmares,” “Murder She Wrote,” “Beverly Hills 90210” and “City of Justice.

The Dallas-based actress’ death was announced by her company Actors Audition Studios after she died on Tuesday. A cause of death was not immediately disclosed.

“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lar Park Lincoln, celebrated actress, founder of Actors Audition Studios, and America’s beloved Audition Coach, on April 22, 2025,” they wrote in the post. “Over her 45-year career, Lar left an unforgettable mark on Hollywood through her dynamic performances and dedication to mentoring aspiring actors.”

Born in Dallas, Park Lincoln made her acting debut in the 1985 made-for-television movie Children of the Night, before playing Linda on Season 9 of Knots Landing in 1987 and returning for a larger arc from 1989 to 1991.

Her other TV roles include appearances on Freddy’s Nightmare, Murder She Wrote and Beverly Hills 90210.

Lincoln is best known for squaring off against Jason Voorhees as telekinetic final girl Tina Sheppard in The New Blood.

She reprised the role in the 2021 fan film Rose Blood. She also appeared in House II: The Second Story, 13 Fanboy, Sky Sharks, and an episode of “Freddy’s Nightmares.”

Lincoln’s TV credits include a recurring part on “Knots Landing” and guest starring spots on “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Murder, She Wrote.”

Before we delve into the world of campy horror movies though, we should probably answer the question: What is camp? It's the B-movie that's loud and proud. The intentionally over-the-top horror movie that winks at the audience, saying, “Sure, we might be cheesy and predictable, but isn't that part of the bloody charm?” Camp is a whirlwind of blood-splattered delight, where rubber monsters and questionable dialogue collide in a gleeful explosion of entertainment.

A new episode of the Revisited video series has just been released, and in this one we’re looking back at a movie that some may not consider to be a horror movie, but at the very least it is an “experimental psychological thriller” from a highly respected genre director. Just a couple days ago, DC Studios head James Gunn announced that a Swamp Thing movie will be part of the first slate of DC films he will be producing as he reboots the DC Universe. Yesterday, we heard that Logan director James Mangold is in early talks to direct the Swamp Thing movie. Despite lacking a cool older relative or friend to show me the ropes, my early exposure to the horror genre was fairly conventional. I started with the big slasher franchises then worked my way through other genre classics before seeking out increasingly obscure titles — a journey that continues to this day. After binging through Halloween, Friday the 13th, and A Nightmare on Elm Street, I soon discovered Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead trilogy.

Well before the remake or Ash vs. Evil Dead, I distinctly recall reading about unofficial Evil Dead installments on web forums to sate my appetite while waiting for the franchise’s long-gestating fourth entry. There’s the La Casa series in Italy, wherein unrelated movies were marketed as Evil Dead sequels, and Japan’s Evil Dead Trap, whose similarities to Raimi’s work begin and end with the title. But the one movie that always eluded me was The Japanese Evil Dead.

Hello, dear readers! Fred Dekker, the writer and director of the 1986 horror film Night of the Creeps, is planning a sequel that will bring back the original cast! That cast of the original film includes Jason Lively, Steve Marshall, Jill Whitlow, Allan Kayser, and Tom Atkins.

The news about Night of the Creeps 2 came from Tom Atkins during an interview with JoBlo. He said:

“I would like to see Detective Ray Cameron become resurrected somehow. And Fred Dekker and I, every time we see each other, we talk about that. And he's determined to do a sequel with the three kids and myself. I mean they're no longer kids, they're all in their 50's, but they're all still kicking and healthy and looking good. I would love to do that again. I love Detective Ray Cameron.”
