On Monday, there were some uncharacteristic bad feelings at Hallmark HQ. According to Deadline, the usually feel-good network has eliminated the EVP of Programming position, meaning Lisa Hamilton Daly is no longer with Hallmark Media.

The highly experienced Daly joined the network late in 2021, having worked for Netflix and Lifetime.

Dye will appear in the role of Bombsight. Exact character details are being kept under wraps, but the character was previously mentioned in Season 4 of “The Boys” as a Supe who starred in the early Vought superhero film “The Curse of Fu Manchu” in the 1950’s.

According to sources, Bombsight could also potentially appear in the upcoming prequel series “Vought Rising” opposite Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash. Reps for Amazon and Sony Pictures Television declined to comment on the “Vought Rising” component of the casting.

The network had already produced popular feature-length adaptations of the author's most famous works, starting with Flowers in the Attic in 2014. Deadline reports that Thomas will star opposite Craig Roberts on the Apple TV+ comedy series Still Up.

Filming is already underway on the new series.

What have you liked the most about being a part of Flowers in the Attic: The Origin?

Working with the cast and creative team was an absolute joy. I’ve made friendships for life, and we just had the best four months making this project.

Other than that, it was a really challenging role for me!

It was really fun to spend so long with a character, taking her from 16 up to her 30s and what that means from an acting perspective.

She experiences so much trauma throughout that time.

If a man is handsome, rich and charming, he’s probably trash.

That’s certainly the case in Lifetime’s Flowers in the Attic: The Origin, which explores Olivia Winfield’s twisted backstory and the complex reasons that led her to lock her grandchildren in an attic.

Lifetime is doubling down on the work of V.C. Andrews.

The cabler announced Wednesday that it had acquired rights to the author's entire library of best-selling novels.

News of the landmark deal broke during Lifetime's turn at the Television Critics Association, where Lifetime also announced some exciting projects based on the late author's work.

On an exciting note, Lifetime confirmed that it would develop Andrews' five-part Cutler series for the screen.

Fans of the novels have long asked for a book-to-screen adaptation, and they're finally getting their wish.

The book series followed Dawn Longchamp, whose world is blown to smithereens when her mother dies.

As for Flowers in The Attic: The Origin, the highly-anticipated TV series will bow on the linear cable network in the summer.

The project's existence was revealed in August.

The “V.C. Verse” has found its official home at A+E Networks. The Lifetime parent company has acquired the rights and licenses to “Flowers in the Attic” author V.C. Andrews’ entire library collection, including all new releases.

As part of the deal that gives A+E Networks exclusive access to more than 138 Andrews books, Lifetime — which has found much success with its “Flowers in the Attic” and “Casteel” TV movies — has put into development an adaptation of Andrews’ “Culter” series of books, following the twisted tale of Dawn Longchamp, whose entire world crumbles after the sudden death of her mother.

The next project to make it to the screen in the “V.C. Verse” will be the previously announced prequel limited series “Flowers in the Attic: The Origin,” which stars Jemima Rooper and Max Irons as Olivia Winfield Foxworth and Malcolm Foxworth along with Kelsey Grammer, Harry Hamlin, Paul Wesley and Kate Mulgrew.

Lifetime will further expand its V. C. Andrews programming, with A+E acquiring rights to the author’s library of bestselling novels.

The cable network revealed Wednesday during its Television Critics Association press tour session that it will develop Andrews’ five-part Cutler series for screen. The books follow the twisted tale of Dawn Longchamp, whose entire world crumbles after the sudden death of her mother. The book series begins with Dawn, which was published in 1990, and includes Secrets of the Morning, Twilight’s Child, Midnight Whispers and Darkest Hour.

A+E Networks, the parent company of Lifetime, announced Wednesday that it has acquired rights and licenses to the entire collection by author V.C. Andrews. The deal covers 138 books and all new releases.

Lifetime also announced during Wednesday’s Television Critics Association Winter Tour presentation that the network is currently in development on Andrews’ “Cutler” series, which follows the twisted story of Dawn Longchamp as her world crumbles following the sudden death of her mother.

On Wednesday, Lifetime revealed that limited series “Flowers in the Attic: The Origin,” a prequel to “Flowers in the Attic,” will debut this summer. The Full House star is headlining the Fox comedy series Grandfathered set to premiere next month and he’s a big part of Netflix’s Fuller House reunion series. Stamos was also part of The Unauthorized Full House Story that aired on Lifetime on Saturday – at least a version of the actor and the Jesse Katsopolis character he played on the eight-season ABC show. Part of that grand tradition of behind-the-scenes bios from the A+E Networks-owned channel, the TV movie pulled in 1.6 million viewers with 777,000 adults 18-49.

That’s even with the 1.6 million total viewers that The Unauthorized Saved By The Bell Story had on September 1 last year, meaning the latest bio was bit of a disappointment for Lifetime like Saved By The Bell Story, which had a stronger 1.1 million in the demo. It’s no secret that Darren Lynn Bousman has had his sights set on both the Leprechaun franchise and Flowers In The Attic for some time now, but why haven’t his wishes been honored yet?
