Creepshow 2 (1987)

FAQ

Creepshow 2

FAQ

Creepshow 2 was originally intended to have five stories like the original installment. These stories were however dropped from the film by producer Richard P. Rubinstein, due to budgetary concerns. This is somewhat unusual considering the original Creepshow performed very well at the Box Office upon its initial release.

The two missing stories are: "Pinfall," about rival bowling teams coming back from the dead to wreak havoc, and "Cat From Hell," about an evil feline. Cat From Hell however was later filmed in the similar horror anthology film, "Tales From The Darkside: The Movie," which was Stephen King and George Romero's extremely similar successor to their two "Creepshow" films, and the official third "Creepshow" installment.

Also of note is the fact that in Romero's 2nd draft script for "Creepshow 2", there were actually four stories in the following order: "Old Cheif Wood'nhead," "Pinfall," "The Raft," and "Cat From Hell." This version of the script completely omits the film's final segment, entitled "The Hitch-Hiker."
