One of my most favorite Adriano Celentano movies. Saw that movies in my early teens and now, 12 Years later I still love them! (Other than Bud-Spencer-movies I favored at the same age...)
Traveling from New York to Italia, pretty Mary rushes into moody macho lawyer Tito. As in any Adriano-movie, the girl immediately falls for the guy with the gruffy manners and in an very impertinent way, she leans on him as she gets in trouble: Not only that she gets tied up in her suite by some Gangsters, but also, her new husband is found dead. Together with Tito (whom she obviously prefers a lot to the deceased) and with a secret map, the hunted one searches for her dead husband's fortune...
Quite surprising, partly unbelievable plot elements and cool phrases in an odd slang make it a really fun to watch, even if a few people might consider it dull. Adriano plays with many women's secret liking for macho-men and is charming as ever in his own, special way.

No pun intended - Adriano Celentano ... not really a poster boy for ... well I don't think you could call him good looking. Or accuse him of that - and yet he was quite the ladies man (and I assume some fellas were smitten by him too - most at least wanted to be him or the cult persona he built).
The movie has aged a bit in some regard - being mean does not really make you attractive to all ladies. Of course our main woman character is also blonde - and she has quite a few blonde moments. Cliches are important here - and it is also important that you do not have issues with them ... otherwise the movie will feel like torture.
Cringe and all what you may be saying. The movie is also quite self aware - the dialog is quite funny. Again not always pc, but you shouldn't expect something like that from a movie from that era anyway. Acting is good, some physical comedy and a lot of winking at the audience ... they knew what they had to deliver for them ... and I reckon it still can work ... it's all on you! You do not need to be a detective to solve that case ... or switch them ...
