Troppo forte (1986)

Trivia

Troppo forte

Edit
Carlo Verdone stated that a stand-in for actress Stella Hall was used for Nancy's skinny-dipping scene.
Carlo Verdone stated that he had wished the character of lawyer Giangiacomo Pigna Corelli in Selci to be a little less surrealistic to better fit with the other characters. Verdone always considers actor Alberto Sordi one of his mentors and they had already starred together In viaggio con papà (1982).
Carlo Verdone stated that the movie was inspired by his wish to tell a story of a Roman bully without the excesses of the character of Enzo he played in Un sacco bello (1980).
US model Stella Hall was chosen for the role of Nancy because they needed someone looking much different by the other people appearing in the movie. The difference is even more marked by the presence of many non-professional actors coming from the Roman outskirts in minor roles.
Many critics consider the character of Oscar Pettinari (Carlo Verdone) an evolution in the style of the 1980s of Nando Mericoni, a character played several times by young Alberto Sordi (playing the lawyer in this movie) in movies like Un giorno in pretura (1953) and Un americano a Roma (1954), as a young Roman bully who aspires to live like the Americans seen in movies.
