Dolly Parton is coming home for the holidays once again, as CBS Television Network has announced the legendary singer and actress will star in a new Christmas television special next month. Aptly called A Holly Dolly Christmas, the hourlong special will air on Sunday, Dec. 6 on CBS and its streaming service CBS All Access. Per the press release, the special will see Parton "performing from an intimate, candlelit set" and provide "much-needed joy and holiday cheer at the end of this challenging year."

Dolly Parton will be ringing in the holidays this year with a new Christmas musical on Netflix, appropriately starring as an angel in the movie. Known for appearing in multiple Christmas specials and TV movies over the years, the Grammy-winning singer took to Twitter to announce her next holiday project. Dubbed Dolly Parton's Christmas on the Square, the holiday musical will debut on Netflix on Nov. 22. Parton also released the official poster for the movie, revealing some of the other cast members.

"Christmas on the Square is more than just a song...it's also a musical! Watch my newest movie, directed by Debbie Allen and starring Christine Baranski, Jenifer Lewis and so many other talented folks," Dolly Parton posted on Twitter, including the key art for the movie.

Q: Do you have any guilty pleasures when it comes to gay movies? I like the good ones (to me anyway) like Ciao and Guys and Balls. But there are some I like where the dialogue is terrible and the acting is very questionable: Angora Ranch and An Angel Named Billy. A: Do I have any guilty pleasures?!

First, yes, there are a few micro-budgeted gay films where the acting and production values are questionable, but that are still worth watching. I’m willing to forgive a lot if I get some sense that the actors and producers believe in what they’re doing, if they created an unintentional comedy, or if there's full-frontal male nudity.
