Trivia

Recruits

Edit
Over 20 minutes were cut for time.
Part of a cycle of American cop comedies that got made after the box-office success of Police Academy (1984). The films include that movie's numerous sequels, Deux filles au FBI (1988), Recruits (1986), Le flic était presque parfait (1986), Patrouille de nuit (1984), Les Zéros de conduite (1985) and Hollywood Vice Squad (1986).
Dominique St. Croix was discovered when scriptwriter Charlie Wiener spotted her walking down the street in Toronto. Dominique said, "I was wearing shorts and halter top and sunglasses, and he fell for the look. I never figured in my wildest imagination that something like that would happen. It has opened a lot of doors since." She went immediately for a test video shooting in Toronto, and tape was then taken to producer Maurice Smith. A more formal test shooting was arranged. She and an actor worked briefly together from a script, and she was hired.
The heavy metal band Thor (who lead singer is Jon Mikl Thor) released their third album titled Recruits- Wild in the streets in 1986. The album is the original soundtrack for the movie Recruits and it also has a song of the same name in it's track listing.
Doug Annear is now a teacher in Brantford ON. He has two children with his ex wife Jennine.
