Le Lendemain... du crime (1986)

Trivia

Le Lendemain... du crime

Edit
This was the only film that director Sidney Lumet ever made in Hollywood, a place that he disliked.
Jane Fonda's performance as Alex Sternbergen in this film was often likened and compared to her performance as Bree Daniels in her earlier film Klute (1971). Fonda had won the Academy Award for Best Actress for the earlier film and was similarly Oscar nominated in the same category for Le Lendemain... du crime (1986).
Jane Fonda has admitted she was actually drunk in several scenes.
The film was Oscar nominated in one category in 1987 - for the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for Jane Fonda, who lost to Marlee Matlin for Les enfants du silence (1986).
Only three actors - Jane Fonda, Jeff Bridges and Raul Julia - are billed in the movie's opening credits.

Cameo

Kathy Bates: As woman neighbor on Mateo Street.
Bruce Vilanch: The comedian as a bartender.
Geoffrey Scott: As pin-up girl publisher murder victim Bobby Korshack appearing on television.
