A petition asking Square Enix to release the canceled Kingdom Hearts Missing-Linkhas already gathered over 500 signatures in under a day. Square Enix announced the title in 2022 as a mobile Ar game similar to Pokémon Go, requiring players to get up and go outside to interact with the game. The game was supposed to take place in Scala ad Caelum following bridge the gap after the events of Union X, following a new cast of characters and building on established Kh lore.
Earlier this week, Square Enix announced that Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link was officially canceled, as the developer "determined that it would be difficult for us to offer a service that players would find satisfactory over a long period of time." A petition started by Illty Anon on Change.org asks the company to release the game anyway, to give fans of the series a chance to experience the game in "some form or other.

A small handful of screenshots might not seem like much to go on, until you realize we’re talking about Kingdom Hearts IV . Not only have we not had much to look at for a while, but fans can squeeze blood from a stone when it comes to the rare appearance of new media. One of the screenshots featured appears to show a playable King Mickey. This wouldn’t be a first for the prominent mascot, as Mickey has been playable in a limited capacity in the past. We'll have to wait and see how involved he is in playable form this time around. You can check out the full collage the official X (formerly Twitter) account shared below. Fox is switching things up like never before during the 2025-2026 TV season, and it’s bad news for fans of scripted TV.
The network will air just two live-action scripted dramas: Doc and Murder in a Small Town.
The drama duo will air on Tuesdays, meaning every other weeknight will be devoted to unscripted offerings.

After so many cancellations and so few scripted series in the network’s pipeline, it was inevitable that executives would reach this decision.
But still, it stings for many reasons. It showcases how far the broadcast networks have fallen regarding ratings, impacting profitability.

For as far back as memory goes, Monday has been synonymous with drama on the Fox schedule. Some of the network’s signature series of the last couple of decades like 24, House, Prison Break and 9-1-1 have called the night home for all or significant portion of their run. That will change this coming fall when Monday night will go unscripted in a non-strike year with Name That Tune and Celebrity Weakest Link, leaving Tuesday night as the only night featuring live-action scripted programming on the network.
“Thematically, our goal for Fox is to deliver entertainment that speaks to our strengths. Irreverent. Fun And a place where comedy and emotional connectivity run throughout our schedule,” Fox Entertainment CEO Rob Wade said during the network’s pre-upfront press call Sunday.

While some anime characters amaze viewers with superhuman feats of strength or intellect, sheer speed is one of the most entertaining and impressive physical feats of all. Plenty of anime characters push their mobility to the limit, moving faster than the eye can see to give themselves a serious edge in battle. Being too fast to hit is the best armor of all, most of all for characters who can keep pace with or even surpass the famed Sonic the Hedgehog.
Sonic is one quick character, but even he would fall behind when racing certain anime characters who have become speed incarnate. Some of those characters employ their dazzling speed in short bursts, such as ultra-rapid punches or leaps, while others can cross a long distance and maintain their unbelievable speed for quite some time. Some of those quick-moving characters pair their speed with astonishing strength as well, making them nigh-unbeatable in battle.

The launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 will be a perfect opportunity to add a much-needed update to Nintendo Switch Online. It's no secret that Nso's track record with legacy content is far from perfect. The slow rate at which classic Nintendo titles are added to the service means that certain iconic games have yet to be granted another chance in the spotlight.
However, Nintendo has a chance to improve on Nso's legacy content. The news of Nso being transferred to the upcoming Switch 2 (alongside confirmation of the Switch 2's backward compatability) means that the current library of retro games is only going to get bigger and better. And, if Nintendo decides to add a certain console's library to the service, it would be a huge improvement to the Nso service overall, while making the Switch 2 a far more appealing purchase to players.

Fans of the video game The Legend of Zelda (Live-Action) have been waiting a long time to see the characters come to life in live-action, and despite an announcement for the film's release, I'm more worried than ever about the movie actually being made. Obviously, video game adaptations had a bad reputation for many years. The entire genre appeared to be cursed to only release flops, but that all changed in 2019 and 2020 when Detective Pikachu and Sonic the Hedgehog released live-action adaptations that worked.
Since then, more video game adaptations have come to the big screen, with some in live-action and others animated, but many have been major successes, and I have personally been a huge fan of these adaptations, finally shining a light on some incredible games that deserve more attention. But it also leads to questions about when other fan-favorite games will get their adaptations, and in 2023, Nintendo...

The Legend of Zelda franchise is massive, with over 29 games spanning across nearly 40 years. Throughout the franchise's lifetime, it has largely stuck to the same formula, combining puzzle-solving with adventures and sword-based combat across various dungeons, wastelands, and kingdoms. However, there have been times when the Zelda franchise changed things by leaning more towards certain mechanics, giving Link a brand-new ability, or simply deviating from the series' typically lighthearted tone.
There have been many different variations of the typical Zelda formula over the decades. Many of them have been well-received by critics and players alike, though there has been the occasional blunder. With so many games to choose from, certain entries clearly stand out from the rest, which makes all of them incredibly memorable in one way or another.

It doesnt take a keen eye to see that The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom builds off of the Links Awakening remake from five years ago, but whether its an improvement over its predecessor could be a more contentious point. Like the original Links Awakening, the remake showcases the Zelda formula at its best, delivering classically great dungeon and puzzle design while exploring its own setting and tone. Im already loving Echoes of Wisdom more, however, and something that didn't really click for me in Links Awakening is actually part of whats winning me over this time around.
From my perspective, the Link's Awakening remake faced an uphill battle from the get-go, as bringing an 8-bit game back to life is never an easy task. Finding a way to replace classic pixel art isn't easy, and remasters that make the attempt often fall flat with artwork that looks...

With the wild success of games like Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, fans of classics like Link to the Past and Link Between Worlds have recently begun to question whether there's a future for that style of Zelda game. Echoes of Wisdom is the first top-down since 2019's remake of Link's Awakening, and it won't be the last.
Speaking during the latest installment of Nintendo's Ask the Developer, Legend of Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma confirmed that the so-called "2D" Zelda games will exist in tandem with bigger titles like Breath of the Wild. Aonuma insists that he's always wanted to make the 2D series feel distinct and separate from the 3D games,...

The Transformers franchise continues to move forward by looking to the past, with the Transformers: Missing Link subline updating classic toys from Generation 1. Now, the line is continuing with a toy based on two classic Autobots, one of whom never had her official G1 figure actually produced.
Via TFW2005, Arcee and Sunstreaker are the next characters in the Missing Link line, with these figures expertly recreating their original toys with modern engineering. Ironically, the Arcee figure is based on an unproduced prototype of the female Autobot's corresponding concept art. While it never saw a release in the 1980s, the neo-retro toy finally puts her in the palm of fans' hands.

Of all the characters he has embodied to date, perhaps Topher Grace’s most iconic one still ranks as that of Eddie Brock aka Venom in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man saga. Immaculately embracing his character like he was made for it, the actor gave the performance of a lifetime in the trilogy as he rivaled Tobey Maguire’s Peter Parker.

But while his onscreen hatred for the friendly neighborhood superhero while still in character was one thing, it seems like Grace actually held onto that feeling even after leaving his character behind. This is because, even when he was asked to meet and greet the web-slinger in real life, the actor didn’t hesitate to let his dislike for the character be known!

The Marvel Comics character Thor officially made his live-action debut in the 1988 TV movie The Incredible Hulk Returns. But the year before that, Thor was a major presence in a teen comedy film about a group of youngsters having a wild night in downtown Chicago. The kids deal with gun-wielding car thieves, knife-wielding gang members, a homicidal tow truck driver, and a lot of other odd characters and dangerous situations. Their lives are put at risk on multiple occasions. And throughout, Thor’s iconic helmet is worn by an eight-year-old girl who looks up to the character… and believes he’s real. By the time the night is over, she might be proven right… Or maybe not. Whatever the case, there’s a whole lot of Thor in the 1987 film Adventures in Babysitting (watch it Here). And it’s time for it to be Revisited.

When you look at the true legacy of a scream queen there are a lot of options out there to choose from. When looking at the top of the heap though? I’d argue that there really is only one option. Jamie Lee Curtis has been making horror movies in 6 different decades now and while a lot of them are directly tied to her most famous franchise with 7 of her horror films being in the Halloween series, there’s so much more. In fact, her run from 1978 to 1981 includes the likes of Halloween 1 and 2, The Fog, Terror Train, and Prom Night. All of those movies have now been remade and are considered classics but there is one in there that doesn’t get talked about enough, was a bomb when it came out, but keeps getting better with age. While Halloween II came out and stole the spotlight in 1981, Road Games...

Echoes of Wisdom straddles the line between innovation and an embrace of the series' roots. A once-popular style of side quest hasn't been present in the Zelda series for 14 years. Echoes of Wisdom could bring back trading quests, first introduced by Link's Awakening, and appearing in six subsequent games.
Following two games that redefined the series' 3D ventures, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom seems to at least in part bring such innovation to the classic 2D side, though I'm hoping the game embraces tradition with one specific kind of quest. Playable Princess Zelda is clearly the most novel aspect of Echoes of Wisdom, but its Echo and Bind abilities also position it as a clear extension of Tears of the Kingdom's design ethos. Simply revisiting the overhead perspective of the 2D Zelda games gives it an inherent retro quality, however, and I expect to feel the influence...

Yesterday, we featured Psycho II director Richard Franklin’s 1986 killer ape movie Link (watch it Here) as one of our picks for the Best Horror Movie You Never Saw – and when we started putting that video together, we had no idea that there was some cool Link news right around the corner: Kino Lorber has announced that they will be giving the film a 4K release on September 10th, and pre-orders are available at This Link!
Starring Elisabeth Shue (The Karate Kid) and Terence Stamp (The Limey), Link has the following synopsis: Young graduate student Jane Chase (Shue) becomes the new assistant to an eccentric zoology professor (Stamp) at the remote home he shares with two brilliant chimpanzees and an elderly orangutan butler named Link. Intro: What is the first movie that comes to mind when you hear the name Elisabeth Shue? Do you think of her as the Karate Kid’s love interest? The babysitter who went on an adventure through downtown Chicago? The Oscar-nominated prostitute from Leaving Las Vegas? Chances are, the movie that comes to mind is not Link. A horror movie where Shue shares the screen with a homicidal orangutan that’s passed off as being a chimp. Link isn’t very well known, but it should be. Echoes of Wisdom features a new Princess Zelda and Link design, hinting at a fresh era in Hyrule's history. The game's setting draws inspiration from A Link Between Worlds, but with enough differences to suggest a new storyline. Where the game could take place on the complex Zelda timeline hasn't been confirmed, but clues suggest there's a clear answer.
The newly-announced The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will notably feature a playable Princess Zelda as its protagonist, but the glimpses of her Hyrule seen so far also carry some interesting implications for the games position on the franchises timeline. The Legend of Zeldas timeline is both complex and subject to change, making it hard to piece together all Zelda games into a cohesive whole. Nevertheless, the footage released of Echoes of Wisdom does carry some clues as to which era of Hyrules history it most likely belongs to.

Weakest Link –Pictured: Jane Lynch — (Photo by: Chris Haston/NBC) Before conquering Hollywood, Jane Lynch spent her early career in Chicago, where she spent time at The Second City and Annoyance Theater, two institutions well known for their emphasis on improvisation. Lynch’s improv abilities have served her well, especially when she was cast in several of Christopher Guest’s largely improvised mockumentaries, and they continue to help her in her latest endeavor: hosting NBC’s new version of Weakest Link. Game show hosts thrive on being able to react to things on the fly, and Lynch, who previously hosted Hollywood Game Night, says that running a game show is a skill that seems to come naturally to her. According to industry insider and leaker Midori, also known as MbKKssTBhz5, a Kingdom Hearts and Fortnite collaboration is in the works. While no official date has been set, the news is definitely exciting for fans of both franchises.
The buzz regarding the beloved gaming franchise joining Fortnite’s ever-expanding universe suggests that the series is continuing its recent revival and expansion, and given Disney’s connection to the developers of the two projects, Square Enix and Epic Games, it’s easy to believe this pretty convincing leak.
The Series Joining Fortnite Makes a Lot of Sense
Disney invested $1.5 billion in Fortnite to create an expansive universe.
Firstly, the Disney connection is very relevant. Both of these franchises have strong ties to Disney, making this collaboration a natural fit. This partnership would also be mutually beneficial, as Kingdom Hearts would gain exposure to Fortnite’s vast and younger audience, introducing it to the series.

Neal Mohan wants the Television Academy to watch more YouTube videos. The CEO of the Google-owned platform recently penned a guest column in The Hollywood Reporter. His thesis was a simple one: The work creators are doing is excellent enough to deserve Emmy consideration.
“Creators are defining a new era of entertainment,” Mohan wrote. “And they deserve the same acclaim as other creative professionals.”
Mohan supported his case by citing several of YouTube’s biggest channels. He sees the Sean Evans-hosted interview series Hot Ones as a show that is “reinventing” its genre, and he celebrated Good Mythical Morning hosts Rhett & Link for the “speed of their creativity and their strategies to respond to viewer feedback.” Michelle Khare, the creator behind Challenge Accepted, is another YouTube-based personality who is “pushing the envelope,” according to Mohan.
Why is YouTube so keen on the idea of the TV and creator worlds colliding?...

If you were a kid growing up in the ’80s, one thing was true. Video games were the spawn of Satan. Okay, we know that isn’t true. But our parents? Adults were terrified of your Atari and your Nintendo, and filmmakers made all sorts of movies that painted games in a negative light. In Wargames a nuclear war was damn near started! While there were plenty of films that understood the imagination and the creative spirit that video games could foster, such as Tron and The Last Starfighter for examples, there’s also a film such as Cloak & Dagger, which goes to some really dark territory to teach a lesson to kids that, honestly, everyone could stand to learn.

Ocarina of Time's Link was once deemed the hero of every Zelda game due to an early official timeline. The early Zelda website timeline contradicted established lore, causing confusion among fans. The Legend of Zelda timeline is constantly changing, making it difficult to create a perfect, cohesive narrative.
Although the incarnation of Link seen in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is certainly one of the most influential in the franchise, an early version of The Legend of Zelda’s timeline actually magnified his importance even further. As a result of reincarnation, there have been many Links seen throughout The Legend of Zelda, allowing for the series to continually reset the status quo whilst keeping all previous games canon.

Over twenty years and eight series, Yu-Gi-Oh! has established itself as a franchise on the level of some of the biggest in anime. Fans love seeing how the franchise continuously reinvents itself, creating brand-new worlds to feature the latest cards and summoning mechanics of the card game.
