An upcoming evening will feature Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. in a singular storyline.

It has been many years since the Chicago shows had a true crossover, with things upended by what happened in 2020.

Since then, specific characters have crossed from one show to another, like Officer Kevin Atwater showing up to help Sharon Goodwin on Chicago Med.

But the casts have been largely kept isolated from each other, disappointing fans who loved seeing them intermingle during dramatic past storylines.

We’re still more than a month out from FBI: International‘s season opener, but TVLine already has an exclusive first look at Chicago P.D. vet Jesse Lee Soffer’s debut on the well–watched CBS drama.

Soffer joined the CBS series in June, and as TVLine was first to report, he will play Supervisory Special Agent Wesley “Wes” Mitchell. Wes is described as charming and rakish, an agent whose impeccable instincts and unconventional tactics fuel his drive to stop at nothing to achieve justice.

After 7 seasons, the time has finally come to say goodbye to Seattle’s hardest-working firefighters on ABC’s Station 19. As they say, all good things must come to an end. But, thanks to some gifts left behind in the finale by showrunners Peter Paige and Zoanne Clack and the writers, fans can expand on the firefighters’ stories well beyond tonight.

The episode titled “One Last Time” continues the story from last week’s episode as Station 19 is battling a raging wildfire targeting Seattle. Everyone is in danger but they’re keeping cool heads and working together to protect anyone else from getting hurt. In a particularly intense scene, the team has to take cover when a firestorm threatens everyone’s lives quickly. They get under aluminum fire shelters that they pull over themselves like a blanket.

The shows finally returned in January, with Taylor Kinney returning to play Firefighter Kelly Severide again.

Chicago Fire has seen numerous casting changes in the first nine episodes of Season 12, and more will come in the back-end episodes.

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End and Firefighter Daigo: Rescuer in Orange are the most popular anime to debut in Japan this autumn season.

Per Anime News Network, a report from Japanese marketing research company Video Research revealed Frieren and Firefighter Daigo were the most-watched series to debut during the week of Sept. 25 to Oct. 1. The data was gathered from Japan's Kanto region, which formed an estimated viewer count based on a survey of households in the area. Firefighter Daigo drew in approximately 3.8 percent of all Japanese households, narrowly beating out the long-running One Piece and Doraemon series for fifth place on the charts. The two-hour-long Frieren special was notably met with even more success, with an estimated 6.8 percent of all Japanese households tuning in to put it at a close third--right behind Detective Conan and Sazae-san, which stood at 6.9 percent and 7.9 percent, respectively.
