As The Fall Guyhas taught us, stuntpeople often don't get their due. And few stuntpeople, it seems, were as beloved as Richard Norton, the Australian martial arts expert, actor, and fight choreographer, known for his work staging stunts and training actors involved in some of the biggest blockbusters. Which is why it's so heartening to see such an outpouring of love and admiration for Norton, whose death was confirmed by his wife, Judy, on Sunday in a post on Instagram.

Norton worked alongside some of the greats of his era, including Jackie Chan and Chuck Norris. He also trained actors like Scarlett Johansson, Charlize Theron, Sophie Turner, Anya Taylor-Joy, Ben Affleck, Margot Robbie, Charlie Hunnam, Liam Neeson and many more, for roles in various films. He served as a fight choreographer on films like Mad Max: Fury Road and Dark Phoenix, as well as the 2016 and 2021 Suicide Squad movies. He...

Richard Norton, an Australian martial artist, screen actor and stunt coordinator who trained celebrities like Charlize Theron and Liam Neeson for film stunts, died in Melbourne. He was 75. Norton’s wife, Judy Green, confirmed the news on Instagram. A cause of death was not immediately available.

“I am numb and devastated, I have no words,” Green wrote. “I have lost my everything. I know there is, and will be lots of love and shock that we have lost this incredible human being. The love of my life. I’m using this time to come to terms with my great loss.”

Billy Idol Was Almost the T-1000 in Terminator 2
Robert Patrick
With the upcoming Terminator 2 3D re-release hitting theaters next weekend, Robert Patrick has been making the press rounds, where he dropped quite the bombshell. The actor, who essentially launched his career by playing the nefarious T-1000 robot in T2, revealed that rock star Billy Idol was cast in the role before him, but was forced to drop out, leading the way for his breakthrough role. Here's what Robert Patrick had to say about Billy Idol's casting.

"Billy Idol was set to do the role of the T-1000, as I understand. I can tell you that I saw Billy's image when I went to Stan Winston after I got the role. Unfortunately, he got into a motorcycle accident and busted up his leg, so he wasn't able to physically do what the role demanded."

Oddly enough, Billy Idol would go on to make his feature film debut in The Doors,...

When it was announced that Pa exploitation legend Cirio H. Santiago (Equalizer 2000, Future Hunters, and Dune Warriors) would helm another explosion ladden apocalypse flick for king of the Bs and long time producer, Roger Corman, the cult community went, not surprisingly, apeshit. Then disater struck the production when Santiago died during filming and Roger Corman put Jim Wynorski in to finish principal photography.

That was 2008. We've been told that the film is done, so where is it? All we've managed to track down form the finished film is this 9 second montage of finished clips - featuring muchas explosions and even a glimpse of Michael Madsen looking a little out of place.

Pa exploitation maestro Cirio H. Santiago dead at 72
Somewhere in my near future there is a post-apocalyptic all-nighter happening where I play nothing but the films of Cirio H. Santiago. Santiago's films have brought me much joy over the years and being able to share news of his ongoing love affair with our favorite genre will be missed around here. He was responsible for directing over 75 productions (many for Roger Corman) and producing even more. Recently, Santiago was working on a sequel to Stryker called Road Raiders. I haven't been able to track down any info on how his untimely death might affect the film's production but we'll be sure to keep you posted. Until then, head through the break where you'll find a whole bunch of clips and trailers from his work. I highly encourage you to take a break from your hectic day and dive into the crazy fun worlds of Cirio H. Santiago for a few minutes.
