Joe Epperson, the three-time Emmy-nominated camera operator who had long stints on All in the Family, The Jeffersons, Full House and The Tonight Show, has died. He was 80.
Epperson died Saturday of cardiac arrest at Southwest General Health Center in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, his wife of 58 years, Patty Epperson, told The Hollywood Reporter. He had been in and out of the hospital and rehab since April 29 when his appendix burst.
Known for his skill with hand-held cameras, Epperson in 1981 shot from the Roxy in West Hollywood The Pee-wee Herman Show, which ran on HBO and put Paul Reubens and his hilarious alter ego on the map.
He also trained his lens on Frank Sinatra, Liza Minnelli and Sammy Davis Jr. over three nights at the Fox Theatre in Detroit for a 1989 Showtime special and worked on the James Keach-directed Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me, the 2014 documentary that followed...

For three years, Doja Cat has been asked the same question by her fans: Whatever happened to “Crack?” The rapper previewed the record during an Instagram Live in 2022 while in the process of recording her fourth studio album, Scarlet. But when the album arrived in September 2023, “Crack” wasn’t on the track list. Her fans begged for it be released and she finally gave in, but there’s a small caveat.
On May 5, Doja Cat released “Crack” as an online exclusive available to stream and download only through her official website for one day.

Shaboozey’s supersized Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going deluxe edition, out now, now features a duet with Jelly Roll, titled “Amen.”

The French Film Academy will honor legendary political filmmaker Costa-Gavras with its lifetime achievement award at the upcoming 2025 César Awards.
The 91-year-old auteur, born in Greece before fleeing to exile in Paris, is best known for his politically-charged cinema, including Oscar winners Z (1969) — a thinly fictionalized account of the assassination of democratic Greek politician Grigoris Lambrakis in 1963 that led to the country’s long military dictatorship — and English-language feature Missing (1982), about the disappearance of an American journalist in the aftermath of the United States-backed Chilean coup of 1973.
Z was the first film to be nominated both for best picture and best international feature at the Academy Awards, winning the latter, as well as the Oscar for best film editing for Françoise Bonnot. Missing, starring Jack Lemmon and Sissy Spacek, won the Palme d’Or in Cannes and was nominated for four Oscars, winning for best adapted screenplay.

Costa-Gavras’ single hyphenated trade name has been synonymous with political thrillers since Z shot from the starting gates in 1969 to win two Oscars and bring the world’s attention to the machinations of the military junta then ruling Greece. Among the numerous films he has made over the ensuing decades, based in France but working also in English, it is the on-brand political films that have been most prominent: State of Siege, Missing, Amen.
Costa-Gavras has, however, other strings to his bow. Witness Last Breath (Le Dernier Souffle), a truly marvelous film, screening in competition in San Sebastian. It’s about dying. Not at the end of a gun barrel, but in the normal course of things, whether the dying person is serenely unafraid, fighting tooth-and-nail to stay alive, or in denial. Based on a book by Regis Debray and Claude Grange, who collaborated with the director in writing the script,...

Bring Me the Horizon have unleashed the new album Post Human: NeX GEn, only letting fans know it was coming just hours before its release. The LP marks the UK band’s first full-length in five years.
While the sudden release is a surprise, the album has been a long-time coming. In fact, it was supposed to arrive last September but was indefinitely delayed due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
Fans have already heard a handful of the songs off Post Human: NeX GEn, as they’ve been sporadically unveiled over the past few years. “DIE4u,” “sTraNgeRs,” “LosT,” “AmEN!,” “DArkSide,’ and “Kool-Aid” were all previously released as singles.
The 16-song album marks Bring Me the Horizon’s first official full-length LP since 2019’s amo, although the band did release the 9-song EP Post Human: Survival Horror in 2020.

Grab your cowboy hat, because Act II: Cowboy Carter, the next installment of Beyoncé’s Renaissance project, has officially arrived. Stream it below.
The second act kicked off in February with the album announcement and dual drop of “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages,” which confirmed this project as country-inspired. Shortly after, Beyoncé revealed that this album was born of an experience where she didn’t feel welcomed, and the process of writing and recording Act II has encouraged her to take a deep dive into the rich history of Black artists in country music.
She’s enlisted a crew of serious heavy hitters to join her on the journey, including icons Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton. Miley Cyrus and Post Malone also guest on Cowboy Carter. Linda Martell, the first Black woman to ever play the Grand Ole Opry, gets a moment to take center stage, too.

Beyoncé shared a new post on social media in which she seemingly dropped the track list of her new album, Cowboy Carter. The album includes collaborations with country music icons like Dolly Parton and Linda Martell.
The graphic, set to look like a rodeo poster, showcases that March 29 is when the album will be released. Previously released songs like “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages” appear next to titles like, “Ameriican Requiem,” “Blackbiird,” “Protector,” “My Rose,” “Bodyguard,” “Daughter,” “Spaghettii,” “Alliigator Tears,” “Smoke Hour II,” “Just for Fun,” “II Most Wanted,” “Levii’s Jeans,” “Flamenco,” “Ya Ya,” “Oh Louisiana,” “Desert Eagle,” “Riiverdance,” “Tyrant,” “II Hands II Heaven,” “Sweet Honey Buckin'” and “Amen.”
“Dolly P” appears in the poster, which is a nod to Parton’s song “Jolene,” which is rumored to be one of the songs Beyoncé is set to cover.

It's easy to forget that "M*A*S*H" was actually a period piece. The acclaimed sitcom was filmed in the '70s and borrowed liberally from compassionate discussions surrounding the Vietnam War, but it took place two decades earlier, in 1950s Korea. Despite anachronistic '70s mustaches, a timeline that reimagined the relatively short Korean War as near-endless, and the occasional not-retro-enough prop, the show still worked hard to bring a fairly accurate vision of the 1950s to life.
Sometimes, that meant referencing movies that were made in the 1930s and '40s, like "The Wizard of Oz" and "The Good Earth." In other instances, though, the series got ahead of itself, name-dropping movies that hadn't been released yet. The show's masterpiece series finale, the feature-length concluding story "Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen," apparently almost included a reference that straddled the line between anachronism and timeliness. According to The Hollywood Reporter's 35th-anniversary spotlight on the finale,...

AfterMASH, the Mash sequel series, did not feature some notable characters like Hawkeye, Bj, and Trapper due to different reasons. Hawkeye's absence was explained by him returning to his hometown to practice medicine, while Bj couldn't easily be involved because of his family commitments. Trapper's post-Korea life was explored in the semi-spin-off Trapper John M.D., making it logical for him not to appear in AfterMASH.
Several notable personnel from the 4077 didn't appear in the Mash sequel series, AfterMASH, for different reasons. After 11 years on the air, the legendary war comedy finally wrapped up its run with the feature-length iconic finale, "Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen." Drake has unveiled Scary Hours 3, featuring six new songs.
The third installment in the Scary Hours series arrives as an expansion of the rapper’s latest album, For All the Dogs, which itself dropped just a month ago. Now– amidst hiatus-inducing tummy troubles – the new songs were written and recorded over a period of just five days, and include the track “Evil Ways,” featuring J. Cole. The previous two Scary Hours releases touted big hits, including 2018’s “God’s Plan,” as well as 2021’s “Wants and Needs” featuring Lil Baby and “What’s Next.”
“I feel no need to appease anybody,” the rapper says in a moody drone-shot announcement video filmed over Toronto’s Roy Thomson Hall. “I feel so confident about the body of work that I just dropped that I know I could go and disappear for six months, a year, two years – even though I’m not really into...

The popularity of "M*A*S*H" is well-documented: Its record-setting finale telecast, which captivated 125 million people in total, is cited in media studies lessons, bar trivia games, and world record books alike. But when we talk about how "M*A*S*H" went out on a high note with the most-watched non-Super Bowl telecast of all time, we don't often talk about what those viewership numbers make clear: The show ended while plenty of fans were still clamoring for more.
"M*A*S*H" ran for 11 seasons before bowing out with the feature-length finale, "Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen." But unlike most shows that fizzle out after a long run or are canceled after a short one, "M*A*S*H" didn't have trouble getting audiences' attention. According to classic TV ratings databases, nine of the show's seasons were among the top 10 most-watched shows on TV, and millions of fans tuned in regularly even before its big finish. Drake has returned with his eighth studio album, For All the Dogs. Stream the album via Apple Music or Spotify below.
Spanning 23 tracks, the album features appearances by Sza, Bad Bunny, J. Cole, 21 Savage, and more. It arrives a day after its latest single, “8Am in Charolette,” which dropped on Thursday, October 5th, and includes Drizzy taking thinly veiled shots at his longtime sparring partner, Kanye West.
Drake has been teasing For All the Dogs for some time now. In June, when he was putting out his poetry book, Titles Ruin Everything, he ran ads in newspapers like the New York Times, NY Post, Los Angeles Times, and others, which included a Qr code leading to titlesruineverything.com. AfterMASH was a spin-off of Mash that continued the story of several beloved characters as they re-settled in the States after being stationed in South Korea. Sherman T. Potter, the commanding officer of the 4077th Mash, reunited with his wife Mildred in the spin-off and became the chief of staff at General General. Klinger returned home in AfterMASH but struggled to reclaim his old life, eventually becoming administrative assistant to Potter at General General. Other Mash characters who appeared in AfterMASH were Father Mulcahy, Soon-Lee, and Radar.

Much like other hit sitcoms, CBS would have wanted to keep Mash on the air for as long as possible thanks to its popularity. ListicleBe it Malayalam or Tamil movies, Fahadh Faasil has been winning fans with his ability to play wide-ranging characters. Here are six of his movies you must certainly watch. With Maamannan’s release, actor Fahaad Faasil has once again shown Tamil audiences that he is just as good in Kollywood movies, as he is in Malayalam cinema. The ease with which he plays quirky characters, and his ability to take on wide-ranging roles instead of playing the conventional hero in both his own tongue Malayalam, and in Tamil, have won the actor fans in both Kerala and Tamil Nadu. His performance in Malayalam films like 22 Female Kottayam (2012), Amen (2013), Kumbalangi Nights (2o19), and Maheshinte Prathikaaram (2016) revealed him to be an excellent character actor capable of embodying the murkier side of human nature with terrifying accuracy. Fahaad's entry into Kollywood began with Velaikaran (2017), but it was his performance in Super Deluxe...

Bring Me the Horizon have announced their seventh full-length studio album, Post Human: NeX GEn, arriving September 15th via Columbia Records.
The news comes after a string of singles from the UK band: “DIE4u,” “sTraNgeRs,” “LosT,” and “AmEN!” It’s undetermined if those song will be included on the new album (the tracklist is pending), though the wonky capitalization in the titles implies they are likely part of the same collection.
The band used an immersive augmented-reality approach to announcing the album, offering fans a series of clues and riddles that eventually led to a secret building, The Church of Genxsis, which was on site at the Download Festival alongside Bmth’s appearance at the UK fest this past weekend.
Once inside, fans experienced “a variety of immersive Genxsis rituals, including face branding, a sermon and tarot readings as they completed their journey to becoming members.”

EntertainmentThe film is written by Ps Rafeeque, a short story writer who has scripted two of Lijo's early films — ‘Nayakan’ and ‘Amen’.Apparently roaring out loud, Mohanlal is on his knees, dragging heavy ropes and wearing clothes of another era in a new poster of his film Malaikottai Vaaliban. Sharing it on his social media pages, the actor wrote, "And now, the wait has a face!" He must mean fans of Malayalam cinema, waiting to see the superstar come together with acclaimed director Lijo Jose Pellissery for the first time. This photo, looking like a cover picture of one of the Arabian Nights tales, gives the first look of his character in the film, Mohanlal said in his post. "Keep cheering us on our journey to bring this movie to life," he added. There have been speculations that he plays a wrestler in this period film. The film is written by Ps Rafeeque,...

Paka (“River of Blood”) dir. Nithin Lukose, 2021
A man is pulled from the Johnson River in Kerala’s Wayanad district, in Kerala’s mountainous Western Ghat region. At night, a group of young men sit around a fire, drinking, and pondering how the dead man got into the river. Murder, suggests one, but Johnny (Basil Paulose) says that couldn’t be the case, because the only way it would be murder would be if the man were part of the two local families – Johnny’s included – who, as we discover, have been part of a deeply rooted, long-standing feud. Think Montagues and Capulets, only set in Wayanad.
There is a ripple of tension in this scene, and in Johnny, who is planning to marry Anna (Vinitha Koshy), a young woman from the opposite family in the generations-long feud. Johnny and Anna publish their marriage banns – the formal announcement of an intention to marry,...

Beyond the misdeeds and greed of the beloved televangelist family featured on HBO’s “The Righteous Gemstones,” one of the most marked elements of its co-creators’ rude, enlightened and hilarious series is its music.
As with every other series creator-writer-actor Danny McBride has co-concocted — including 2009’s “Eastbound & Down” and 2016’s “Vice Principals” — the unique musical tone of “The Righteous Gemstones” comes down to the longtime friendship of college buddies McBride, composer Joseph Stephens and music supervisor Devoe Yates.
Where the musical mix of “Gemstones” is concerned, theirs is a genuinely fresh blend of new or rare sacred songs intimately tied to an equally bracing, secular Southern-fried brand of rock, blues, country and soul, to say nothing of its hot and holy original music and nuanced arrangements.
Orchestrator-composer Stephens’ often-souped-up synth-wave vibe also matches the hyperactive tone of Yates’ needle drops, making for a character of its own devising.
