I love Rob Lowe. Don't mind Jennifer Grey. Love the 80's. Love a cheesy romance but I have never seen anything as bad as this. I kept watching hoping, praying it would improve and it didn't. The acting was shocking, the background music to heavy one minute and non-existent the next. The whole concept of Cinderella is that the Prince Charming character is good, kind and lovable. Salvitore is non of those things.

Life is far too short to watch this and there are many great romantic 80's movies that are worthy of your time.

I just wanted something easy to watch and this was exactly that. It's not an award winning, never before done, change your view of the world movie, just simple, lighthearted and fun. I look forward to watching it again.

The movie is so poorly done that even though bit is a Cinderella story, the writing and directing leave so much to be desired. The comedy barely worked, the acting should have been better, the actors were doing their jobs, but it didn't work at all. A miss for both Rob Lowe and Jennifer Grey.

Lowe's character asking to sleep with Jennifer's character is kind of sickingly in bad taste and of a different time, more the sixties rather than 1990.

The French cast is inspired as a concept for Haute Couture, but they felt like they were B or C actors that just may not have worked with the director. It was too hard to tell there was so much wrong, it wasn't good overall.

Disappointing, and sad.

I really like Rob Lowe and Jennifer Grey, but NOT this movie.

Thank God they've all gotten so much better in their acting and their script selections in the last 30 years!

If The Shoe Fits is a modern reworking of the Cinderella legend with Rob Lowe, Jennifer Grey and a whole bunch French players. Just getting a trip to Paris to shoot there would have been reason enough for me to take the roles.

A wardrobe girl at designer Rob Lowe's house of fashion, Jennifer Grey is a bit of a drudge who lives with a pair of models who think they're something special. But one day Grey finds a pair of abandoned shoes who a kind fairy godmother enchants. She wears those and she's Cheryl Tiegs. And does Lowe ever notice, especially since she wants to design shoes for his house.

Lowe's a bit of a stretch as Prince Charming. As is said his world is populated by images of beauty. He finds it hard to relate to people. Not the most charming of fashion princes, but love always has its own reasons.

Lowe, the successor to Tyrone Power in those hero/heel roles and Grey and the rest of the cast perform well in this modern fable of Cinderella. Worth a look if you are a fan of the aging Brat Packer.
