Arrow Video is excited to announce the August slate of titles on their subscription-based Arrow Video Channel, including the action-packed black-and-white nautical nightmare Lake Michigan Monster, the uncut version of Argento's Tenebrae and Stephen King's Children of the Corn.

Lake Michigan Monster has been acclaimed at film festivals around the globe, taking home the Gold Audience Award for Best International Film at Fantasia, Best Visual Effects - Feature at FilmQuest, Best Ensemble Cast at GenreBlast and Best Wisconsin Film at the Beloit International Film Festival. Writer, director and star Ryland Brickson Cole Tews has crafted an inventive and irreverent homage to the classic monster films of yore with the bizarre Captain Seafield, joined by a colorful crew of misfits on a mission to slay the sea beast that killed his father.

Arrow Video continues to reconstitute the filmography of Spanish genre filmmaker Jose Ramon Larraz with his final English language thriller, Deadly Manor (originally released on VHS as Savage Lust), the final in a triptych of slasher films set in the Us (but filmed in Spain) in the late 1980s to early 1990s. Following on the heels of the label’s glorious box set of his earlier works, plus his 1988 title Edge of the Axe (released under his pseudonym Joseph Braunstein), this final thriller from the underrated director is decidedly dull and derivative affair, borrowing heavily from a variety of classics, everything from The Old Dark House (1932) to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974).…...

February’s home media releases are ending in a big way, with 20 different horror and sci-fi titles making their way onto various formats this week. Leading the pack this Tuesday are Rian Johnson’s Knives Out, which comes home on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD, as well as Richard Stanley’s Color Out of Space, which will be available on both Blu and DVD. Scream Factory is showing Mary Lambert’s Pet Sematary Two some love this week with their Collector’s Edition release, and for those of you into wacky, obscure cult classics, you’ll definitely want to pick up Vinegar Syndrome’s Blu-ray for Spookies.

Whilst en route to a lake, a group of youngsters make an unscheduled stop-off at a remote, seemingly abandoned mansion where they plan to spend the night. But the property is full of foreboding signs – a blood-stained car wreck in the garden, coffins in the basement, scalps in the closet, and photographs of a beautiful but mysterious woman adorning every corner of the house. Before daybreak, the group will unwittingly uncover the strange and terrifying truth that lurks behind the walls of this dreadful place.

The rural community of Paddock County is being rocked by the crazed exploits of an axe-wielding psychopath, who stalks the night in a black trenchcoat and mask. As the victims pile up, the authorities attempt to keep a lid on the situation, whilst computer whizz-kid Gerald and girlfriend Lillian seek to unmask the killer before the town population reaches zero. Nominally set in Northern California but shot primarily in Madrid, giving the film an off-kilter, American/European atmosphere akin to the likes of Pieces, Edge of the Axe is a late entry hack-and-slash masterpiece from one of the titans of Spanish terror.
