Duncan Regehr in Les nouvelles aventures de Zorro (1990)

Trivia

Les nouvelles aventures de Zorro

Edit
Henry Darrow was the first actor to be involved with three different productions of "Zorro", and he is also the first Latino to play the role of Zorro on television. He was the voice of Zorro (Don Diego) in the animated series Les Nouvelles Aventures de Zorro (1981) (which was broadcast as part of The New Adventures of the Lone Ranger (1980)). He then starred as the elderly Zorro (Don Diego) in the series Zorro et fils (1983). Then he was Don Alejandro, Don Diego's father, in this series for three of its four seasons.
The mute servant in this production is Felipe. He is a teenage boy rather than a full-grown man like Bernardo in Disney's television series.
Fernando Allende was the first person to be offered the lead as Zorro. He declined the part, however, because the shooting schedule conflicted with his wedding.
Unlike the Disney television series, this production includes a female main character. Her name is Victoria Escalante.
Cathi Campo, the series' opening theme singer, is the cousin-in-law of Terry Botwick, who was, at the time, the Vice President of original programming for The Family Channel (owned by Pat Robertson), which aired this series.
