I remember those days, when only geeks (we were not fat, ugly or weird people ,we were just geeks) liked that genre, when it was all about fun ,imagination and science, people used to use their brain ,and to share an ideea to the other mates and fans it was something so unique.
Unlike most of the reviews here I did not remember this show though it was definitely the kind of thing I would have watched then and now. I bought it as part of a DVD set of 6 classic SciFi shows. Having just watched The Powers of Matthew Star (1982-1983) I was expecting a bit more from this one, it being newer, but the visuals were so bad it felt like a jump backwards in time. Automan made in 1983 has better graphics and effects. Much less Max Headroom (1987-1988) For example the "AI" in this show is not even 8 bit graphics level and would not be recognizable as a face if they did not tell you it was. Even the movie, the series was based on, is so cheap they used an Apollo command module model painted gold as a Mars craft and the super suit looks like it is mainly made from football pads. I guess they spent all the budget on the bike since it appears to be the one prop they spent time on. The video quality was the worst of the set. I've seen low speed VCR recordings the looked better. Could have been a bad transfer but a few screens did look almost as as clear as the The Immortal (1969-1971) also in the set. The plots seemed as bad as the visuals. The chessey The Powers of Matthew Star was more believable. In short I'm amazed they made a series after the movie much less that it made it to 48 episodes. Especially given the other shows out around that time that I loved like:
Alien Nation (1989-1990)
Quantum Leap (1989-1993)
Something Is Out There (I) (1988-1989)
Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987-1994)
I could not even make it through all of the Super Force episodes.
Note the fact that the show takes place in 2020 does add some humor to it with 2020 just a few couple away.

Now this is one show i remember watching as a kid and wish that some station out there would put it back on the air!. I loved the show for not only the awesome looking suite that Super Force had but also the them music i still to this day have never forgotten. I finally found the first two episodes on video which are basically tied into one movie. Anyways i only hope that one day this show will resurface but after 10 years my hopes are running out.
Also though if you liked this show as i did then you can find copies of the Super Force VHS tape on ebay or Half.Com, but its Out of Print so the price might be kinda high but that all depends on the seller

I honestly got further then i expected to. I decided to check this out cause i figured it would be so silly, but surprisingly i was somewhat liking it. Eventually though i realized how bulky and ridiculous the super force outfit was and i just couldn't deal with looking at it anymore. I know that sounds like a ridiculous reason to stop and i probably would agree with you since honestly i was mildly enjoying everything else about the show, but i also felt like i still wasn't EXCITED to get to the next episode, but rather i was just watching them to get them over with which i didnt want to continue to do.
I can't remember much from this show, but it happened to creep into my mind this morning. Like the previous reviewer, I remember the "Toy Store" intro. I remember several "fake commercial" type introductions in this show. There have been and will always be cheesy shows like "Super Force. " The fact is, if you don't take them seriously, they can be a lot of fun!
