Now, they’re working on several follow-up projects, including a 4K Uhd and Blu-ray release of Fright Night Part 2 – and a deluxe edition 4K Uhd and Blu-ray release of Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II! Red Shirt’s Michael Felsher announced the Prom Night II project on social media, where he also revealed that Blu-ray releases of Prom Night III: The Last Kiss and Prom Night IV: Deliver Us from Evil are in the works. Whether or not the other sequels get 4K upgrades will depend on what materials are available for them. Synapse does have the rights required to bring the original Prom Night to 4K Uhd as well, but...

After working their magic to bring Trick or Treat to 4K Ultra HD, Red Shirt Pictures and Synapse Films have announced six upcoming titles in the works.
The releases include: Fright Night Part II, Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II, Prom Night III: The Last Kiss, Prom Night IV: Deliver Us from Evil, 976-Evil II, and Angel of H.E.A.T.
“There are no release dates for any of these titles at this time,” Synapse writes, noting that Fright Night Part II will not be out in 2025.
“We can’t even say ‘Still in production. No release date.’ because several of them have not started production yet! Just as it was with Trick or Treat, Red Shirt Pictures will be overseeing the production of each release, while Synapse will oversee the audio/video and distribution of each title, all of which will be in production throughout 2025 and into 2026.”

Before the door slams slut on 2015, hopefully hitting it in the ass on the way out, here’s a prediction: 2016 will be 1992 in different clothes.
Consider the evidence: there’s a new Batman movie, The X Files is back on TV and Clinton is running for President. Also, the horror movies slated for release are mostly sequels and remakes.
1992 gave us such culturally enriching experiences as House IV, Prom Night III: The Last Kiss and the awesome Witchcraft 4: The Virgin Heart, and while 2016’s line-up isn’t quite that bad, it still leaves much to be desired. Among the least desirable titles is a remake of The Blob, from the director of the When A Stranger Calls remake.
Amityville 1992: It’s About Time was the 6th film in the haunted house franchise, and guess what? Not only is another Amityville film due in 2016, but if...
