'Ginny and Georgia' trailer is out now.

Netflix dropped the official trailer for the upcoming mother-daughter drama series 'Ginny and Georgia' and it gives creepy 'Gilmore Girls' vibes.

The ten-episode series revolves around dynamic mother-daughter duo Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and Georgia Miller (Brianne Howey) as the titular characters who move to a New England town to enjoy a normal life. However, things don't exactly go as planned as Georgia's checkered past seems determined to catch up with them, per Mashable.

The official synopsis for 'Ginny and Georgia' is as follows: "Angsty and awkward Ginny Miller often feels she doesn't measure up to her mother, the irresistible and dynamic Georgia Miller."

Netflix dropped the trailer for “Ginny & Georgia” Tuesday, its coming-of-age TV series that follows a mother and daughter who both have some growing up to do.

In the video, which you can view here and above, young mother Georgia Miller (Brianne Howey) walks into her teenage daughter’s, Ginny (Antonia Gentry), room to show her a new shirt she’s bought her. Ginny is not a fan and groans over the selection, “Gross.” Georgia is shocked to find her tastes don’t match her daughter’s, “This is the new thing you’re doing now? Hate on mom? Come on! This is nice. We’re like the ‘Gilmore Girls’ — but with bigger boobs.”

Spectrum Films has assumed management of Definition Films’ post-production facility at Fox Studios.

The deal for the site comes as Definition Films founder David Gross turns his focus to showrunning; he is set to helm IMAX feature docs and premium factual via the recently announced MGM/K2 Studios partnership.

The Definition Films facility, located in building 53A on the lot, hosts a Dolby Atmos sound mixing theatre with 2D and 3D laser projection, a premium 4K Di grading theatre, a Dolby Vision Hdr finishing room, and five additional multi-purpose suites.

November is here, and as well as signalling that we’re mercifully entering the final stretch of 2020, Netflix have added a ton of new content to their library. Now that Halloween is behind us, the focus has moved firmly away from scaring subscribers out of their seats to giving them warm and fuzzy feelings inside, as the barrage of inevitable Christmas titles begin to roll out.

Netflix is adding a ton of great titles over the next seven days. From Monday to Sunday, the streaming giant is unleashing some new Halloween-related originals for you to dig into as we approach October 31st, while it’s an usually busy weekend for the site, too, as Sunday marks November 1st, meaning a load of newly licensed movies and shows are being added to Netflix’s library.

Unfortunately, they aren’t bringing us anything fresh on Monday or Thursday, but the rest of the week is well-stocked. As you can see below, Tuesday the 27th delivers three new originals. The highlight of that day’s haul, though, has to be Blood of Zeus, the much-anticipated anime-style series that’s adapting classic Greek myths. Jason O’Mara, Jessica Henwick and Claudia Christian star.

With a new month quickly approaching, it’s time to look ahead and see what’s coming to all your favorite streaming services this November. That’s Netflix, Disney Plus, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video and, of course, HBO Max.

Halloween will soon be behind us and given that Christmas isn’t too far off, we’re beginning to see some holiday titles pop up, with all the major platforms getting into the festive spirit. That’ll continue in December as well, of course, but for November, there’s certainly tons on offer for those looking to start the celebrations early.

Though we’re now beginning to see life starting to return to at least some sense of normality, a lot of people are still spending much more time at home than usual thanks to the Coronavirus pandemic, and that probably won’t change for a while yet. As such, streaming services are more popular than ever now and thankfully, all of the major players have been delivering the goods when it comes to adding new content.

Of course, Netflix are still the leaders and each and every month they bring us a healthy helping of fresh material that ensures subscribers are kept entertained at all times. Admittedly, the summer was more fruitful in terms of new releases, but there are still a lot of great titles coming down the pipeline as we head into the fall and today, the streaming giant have revealed their November lineup, which you can check out below.

Bruna Papandrea’s Made Up Stories and Keith Calder and Jess Wu Calder’s Snoot Entertainment have optioned the rights to Christopher Paolini’s To Sleep in a Sea of Stars. Paolini will adapt the book with his sister and collaborator Angela Paolini for the big screen. Both will serve as EPs.

Christopher Paolini’s debut adult sci-fi novel from Tor Books (an imprint of Macmillian Publishers) follows Kira Navárez. She’s dreamed of life on new worlds and awakened a nightmare. Howie Mandel really did not like making Little Monsters in 1989. The cult classic was just re-released on Blu-ray by Vestron Video, which is where Mandel's comments come from. A bonus feature for the Blu-ray, titled Call Me Maurice, finds the actor/comedian looking back at his time as Maurice the monster starring alongside Fred Savage. "When Little Monsters was presented to me, I went, 'Okay,' without any thought of what it would mean," says Mandel.

As it turns out, Howie Mandel may have bitten off more than he could personally chew. For one, signing up for Little Monsters meant that Mandel was going to be starring as Maurice, who is a monster. "You know it's a nice experience. I met nice people. I had a nice time personally," says Mandel. However, there was a lot more to do than just showing up on set and throwing on some makeup.

Universal is continuing to expand its Monsters universe in interesting ways by bringing in Toy Story 4 director Josh Cooley to direct the family-friendly Little Monsters. Josh Cooley, the director and writer of Pixar’s “Toy Story 4,” will next direct an all-ages film called “Little Monsters” at Universal, an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.

“Little Monsters” will be a live-action and animation hybrid that will bring Universal’s classic monster movie characters to a new generation. The film will be inspired by the artwork, outlines and character designs of famed concept artist Mark “Crash” McCreery, who is best known for his work on films like the original “Jurassic Park” trilogy, “Rango” and “Van Helsing.”

Cooley is writing the script and will also direct. Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman of Mandeville Films will produce. McCreery will executive produce.

Premiering at Sundance Film Festival, Abe Forsythe’s Little Monsters sets Lupita Nyong’o, Alexander England, and Josh Gad on a school trip soon to be infested by a zombie outbreak. Packing a great deal of humor to go along with the blood, the film certainly owes a bit to Shaun of the Dead, but is a fun-enough horror-comedy. Ahead of a release in the UK and Ireland this November, the first trailer has now arrrived.

I said in my review, “With only a few moments of action, Forsythe is more keen on seeing the dynamics of his characters play out, particularly in providing a too-obvious arc of redemption for Dave as confronts his own selfishness. With that said, the sight of Lupita Nyong’o singing Shake It Off while playing a ukelele or chopping off zombie heads with a shovel is more than worth the price of admission.”

Gathering some of the most inspiring and influential producers, writers, and directors who help bring nightmares to life on the big screen, the “Bold Voices of Contemporary Horror” panel will be taking place this Saturday night at the 50th annual Comic-Con, and as a special treat, attendees will also see the world premiere of the trailer for Adam Egypt Mortimer's Daniel Isn't Real.

Taking place at 7:00pm Pst in Room 23ABC, the “Bold Voices of Contemporary Horror” panel will feature "Ryan Turek, Mali Elfman, Akela Cooper Gigi Saul Guerrero, and Adam Egypt Mortimer."

Céline Sciamma’s Cannes Screenplay-winner “Portrait of a Lady on Fire,” an 18th-century lesbian bodice-ripper that scored among the best reviews at the May festival, is a likely candidate for France’s submission for the Best International Feature Oscar. That said, it will face stiff competition for France’s slot from two other Cannes prize-winners, Mati Diop’s “Atlantics” and Ladj Ly’s “Les Misérables.” In any case, Neon will release the film in Los Angeles and New York on December 6, at the height of the awards season.

The theatrical distributor did well at Cannes, beating out Netflix and others on the popular title, partnering with Hulu to acquire North American rights. Neon picked up the eventual Palme d’Or winner, Bong Joon-Ho’s “Parasite,” ahead of the festival; that film is dated October 11. Expect both films to play the fall film festival circuit.

The Melbourne International Film Festival (Miff) has unveiled the first 29 films on its line-up this year, including the world premiere of Good Thing Productions and Passion Pictures’ The Australian Dream which will open the festival August 1.

The documentary, written by Stan Grant and directed by Brit Daniel Gordon, looks at race, identity and belonging from the perspective of former Sydney Swans captain and Indigenous rights activist Adam Goodes, who in 2013 sparked a national conversation about racism after requesting a 13-year-old Collingwood supporter be removed from the ground after calling him an “ape”.

“The Australian Dream is a compelling kickstart both to our festival this year, and to a national conversation,” said Miff artistic director Al Cossar.

While it sounds strange to presume that the career of an Oscar-winning actress and producer with over 125 credits is somehow outside of her control, Spencer is taking her sweet-as-pie image and burning it with “Ma.” Well, she’s actually getting it drunk, stalking it, sewing up its lips, and generally terrorizing it, but that’s beside the point.

In the horror thriller, Spencer plays a lonely veterinary aide named Sue Anne who starts partying with a group of high schoolers after they ask her to buy them booze. Sue Anne invites them over to her home, and Ma’s basement quickly becomes the hotspot for teens looking to drink. But as quickly as the fun begins, everything — including Ma — starts to unravel, and eventually the party is over, for everyone.

Universal Pictures has picked up a new sci-fi comedy movie that was pitched to them under the title Miss Universe, but that won’t be the title of the film. The movie will star Black Panther actress Lupita Nyong’o, and she will re-team with writer and director Abe Forsythe who previously directed Nyong’o in the zombie film Little Monsters.

There are no story details to share for the film yet, but it is described as being a mix of the films Men In Black and Miss Congeniality.
