In one scene, Donny delivers a sideways jump back-kick on a pursuer on motorbike sending person backward while the bike goes forward. The same thing almost happens in the finale where Toby performs a leaping kick on a goon riding a motorbike.

Luther discovers a ticking bomb through a puddle reflection. This is a direct reference to the scene where Yeung discovers a bomb under her car through a puddle reflection.

In one scene, Peter climbs up to the ceiling of Harry's room in his apartment to avoid being detected by Mary, May, Harry and Norman. Norman however begins to sense Spider-Man's presence as he is about to leave the room after Peter drips blood below Norman while approaching close to where Peter's hiding above. This is akin to the scene where Donny drips blood and drawing attention after climbing up a lamp post to avoid being found by a pursuing assassin on motorbike.

The scene where Ting knees a henchman right through fire is akin to Yeung fly-kicking the drug trafficker right through fire caused by a bomb explosion.

Michael Wong has a deadly needle coming out of his shoe, similar to that of Rosa Klebb having a knife hidden in her shoe.

During the warehouse fight, Luk uses a crowbar against one of the loan shark's henchmen and strikes him to the point of sending his head onto a small glass window. This is similar to Danny Koo smashing Chan's head onto a glass display with a briefcase during the mall fight.
